Tom Brady was a 6th round pick..You can find great Qb's anywhere.

Yet you have the Bills picking him in the 3rd round in your mock?

Correct me if I am wrong but 3rd round is not late round, and in my humble opinion

He also has us taking TWO ILB's for our NEW 3-4 scheme. Both are 6' feet tall...1 is under 230lbs and the other is under 240lbs...don't we have ENOUGH of THOSE LB's for god's sake?????

YUCK...WORST MOCK DRAFT EVER!!!

ps. LeFevour sucks. He looks like Alfred E. Newman.

Joe Montana was the 82nd pick in his draft, Trent Green, 8th round pick, Brad Johnson,9th round pick, Tony Romo wasn't even drafted, Jake Delhomme wasn't drafted, same deal with Kurt Warner, Mark Brunell was a 5th rounder, Matt Hasselbeck was a 6th rounder and so was Marc Bulger.

Guys can be found. This years late round diamond? LeFevour.

Guys can be found. It's just a much much lower chance of being successful than snagging one of the big two in the first. LeFevour might be a gem, who knows. But again, there's probably about a 4 - 5 % chance of ANY one of the later round QBs becoming a franchise guy. That's what history shows.

you can find quality players at any position in the draft, you just need your player personnel people to find them. it just so happens the last three qbs who have won the superbowl we're first round picks (brees is the first pick in the second round practically a first rounder)

Here's more info to consider.

College QB rating 142.9 7.3 yard average.

671 rushes with 47 TD's.

Clausen's average is 7.3 yards

Bradford 9.4

Jonathan Crompton 6.7

Tony Pike 7.4

Levi Brown 7.2

Tim Tebow 9.3

Colt McCoy 8.1.

It looks to me like LeFevour as an average arm, great rushing skills and despite your assertion he's very accurate.

Clausen last year: 68.0% and 8.76 YPA

LeFevour last year: 69.7% and 7.54 YPA

Both guys are accurate, but LeFevour was throwing fewer long ones and had an average YPA while Clausen was going longer, his YPA is exceptional.

Throw in that Clausen was throwing from a pro-style system, which is much harder and requires much less adjustment tot he NFL and you see there is a major difference.

LeFevour might make it. But again, the later a guy gets drafted, the lower the chances he succeeds, for obvious reasons.

And Ryan Miller was a 5th round pick. You can get lucky anywhere in the draft.

Yup. But when it comes to the most important position on the team, you don't want to put yourself in a position where you're saying "Maybe we'll get lucky, who knows." You want to put yourself in a position where you can say that you are taking the road which has the absolute highest percentage of success.
