banjo moe
Thomas? Yes. Porter? No. Thomas became a malcontent in the locker room towards the end of this season in NE and was actually held out of a game for showing up late to team meetings. Don't bother, he was a cancer in NE. BuffaloHokie
those guys and wilfork will give us a sick 34 and let us draft TE/WR and LT in the first 2 (obv LT being top slot). that would be huge. porter and maybin/aaron shoble on the outside, and thomas and poz in the middle, w williams and stroud at DE and vince in the gut would be just beastly I don't know why we are still drafting TE and WR when we haven't developed the ones that we have. No TE or WR will come in and demand a double team to pull pressure off of Lee Evans which is what we need. Wilfork or a Casey Hampton addition would be crucial. Adalius Thomas has not looked nearly as "beastly" since leaving Ray Lewis' side and I would not invest more than a year on Joey Porter...if we are trying to get an impact OLB we need to do everything we can to pull Merriman away from San Diego or find a younger player. It looks like he has worn out his welcome there.
lets_go_bills
Thomas became a malcontent in the locker room towards the end of this season in NE and was actually held out of a game for showing up late to team meetings. Don't bother, he was a cancer in NE. He was a great player in Baltimore. And he's a 3-4 player... and a linebacker. We aren't exactly flush with those. But you're right, he didn't do squat in NE. But I'd give him a look, especially since he'll probably be rather affordable. I'd bet he goes back to Baltimore.
Thoner7
I would take Thomas in a heart beat. He doesnt have to be our best LB, just our forth best. But when you look at our LBers, he will be the best. When you can sign a FA and he instantly because you rbest line backer, how is that not an improvment? Or he might go to the Jets to reunite with Rex Ryan and maybe ignite a light in the butt of Vernon Gholston.

I guarantee he is there at our third round pick too. Honestly a Jason Witten clone. Would you be unpleased with a TE half as good as Witten in the 3rd round? I know I would love it for one. manbeast
i really like Porter, and I think he has something to prove. But I wonder what the relationship between him and George Edwards is, since he is really unhappy with Miami because he wasn't getting playing time, and felt he deserved it. I believe the problem was Parcells it does sound like something he would do.
manbeast
Joey Porter is a punk. He's done. That's what they said about Randy Moss.
billnutinphoenix
Joey Porter, I've heard, will play for the Cards next year!!!
manbeast
Porter has two seasons left in the tank, and next year, at least statistically, will prove to be one of is best b/c he wants to show the Fins and the entire NFL that he's still an elite player. He's definitely an energizer and would bring some nastiness to our defense; however, with all of that said, I find it highly unlikely he'll land in Buffalo. My guess is that he'll wind up with a contender that already has a decent defense. It won't be NE they are after Peppers.
manbeast
yea, my point is i want our defense to have an edge, an identity. for once i would like to see a team from buffalo have the nastiness, toughness, that goes with the town. the sabres are pussies, the bills have no identity. just once i would like to hear the rest of football acknowledge the toughness of the bills in some form. We have an identity it just isn't a good one.
manbeast
Milloy was still a decent safety when we acquired him. Just because the Pats cut a guy doesn't mean they can't still be more productive than what we currently have on our roster. Would you not take Adam Vinatieri after they cut him? How about Seymour after they traded him? The Pats make a lot of ballsy roster decisions that sometimes result in good players getting the axe. J.peppers would be a pretty good reson to cut Thomas. manbeast
Porter was out played in Miami by Channing Crowder, and he doesn't like being the #2 LB on the team.I think he could make an impact to the extent of what Takeo did when he was on the team. As for Thomas i dont know much about him, I would rather save the money and get someone in the draft. So Crowder had 51tkls, 1 sk 1int 0ff 0fr 3pd in and Porter had 41tkls, 9 sks 0int 1ff 1fr 1pd explain to me how Crowder out played him.
