Mobile, Agile, and Hostile

Wendling is a freak on special teams. He is athletic freak in general. The guy will never be an every down player, but I think he very much so fits this criteria. He lead or was in the top of Bobby Aprils "rating" system on special teams every year...

I would also add Eric Wood to this list (if he is healed). Geoff Hangarter (sp) too.

Wendling has done nothing on special teams and probably will not be on the team very much longer .................He can go with April............we are going to finally getting rid of the special teams dead weight and instead focus on agile, mobile, violent players........

Who is going to wipe your tears when we rank at the bottom of the league in special teams and it costs us a couple of games?

I have no problem with April going because, frankly, the special teams were not special this year as he could not adjust to rule changes.

Having Special team studs like Wendling now, or Sam Aiken, Mark Pike and Steve Tasker is ALWAYS valuable.

Btw Wendling had 26 special teams tackles and and INT this year. This is very impressive for a special teams specialist. But your right, this won't be missed..He will make the team...

I'd add the three interior linemen and George Wilson (a/k/a The Nine Lives of George Wilson - I hope this guy survives the regime-change, which he should).
Amen to George Wilson, what a pleasant surprise and a shocker... along with Freddy Jackson, one of the scant few things the Bills did right since 2006. They really thought outside the box with him, and I can't see him doing anything but starting at SS next year, regardless of the scheme. He is mobile, agile, hostile, and a playmaker. :wallbash:

The players I'd capsulize as mobile, agile, and hostile (to varying degrees) are Levitre, Wood, Butler, K.Williams, G. Wilson, F. Jackson, J. Reed, and Posluszny. They are ALL keepers!! Others possiblities "on the come" are J. Meredith, D. Bell, A. Maybin, N. Harris, and L. McKelvin. All of them are keepers too!

Wood, Butler, and Incognito could be part of the NASTIEST offensive line in football, when they're all healthy and together. I would NOT want to face an offensive line with those three guys.

But other than them, do we really have ANY hostile players? I mean guys with a true mean streak? We seem like a very polite team...and I hate that. I want other teams to cringe at the thought of having to play us. Right now...they don't.

Kyle Williams is deffenently hostile. He loves contact and smashing into people. Kirk Morrison and Thomas Howard, the two raider linebackers fit that bill. Ya i know its the raiders, but those two guys are great and immediatly help our D become nasty.

thats funny the special teams wasnt special but Wendling was great..........sounds like we are talking out of both sides ..........we will focus on Defense, Offense and become dominate in one of those areas for a change ...........We seen what being in the top 10 in special teams got us..... no higher than 7-9..............do the math We will go in a different approach so I hope Wendling can play defense better than Byrd, Wilson ,Scott,Witner because if not he will be replaced................this is no longer Russ brandon team ...............finally we will have football players no more Cortos ,Wendlings, Ellisons ........
