Which players would survive a regime change?

I tried to think back to the mid 80s teams & who was left from the bad squads when we got good. Using that as a guide, I could see these guys on a Super Bowl team down the road. Some guys, like Stroud, I don't expect to be around in the 2-3 years needed to rebuild.

Great analysis. There is no doubt that this was a post that was thought through at length and is interesting to ponder. While I don't share your opinions on everyone, I respect your conclusions.

Observing the number of players who have left the Bills and are playing well on other teams, it's hard for me to accept that there is not a lot of talent among those who remain in Buffalo. I keep coming back to the conclusion that many of our players are being mishandled (regarding development or the way they are used on the field). Think about teams that have made extreme turnarounds from one year to the next. There have been several during the last decade. While they may have experienced coaching changes and a dozen player changes, there were few mass exoduses. Players that seemed inadequate suddenly looked much better after the other changes around them. I continue to believe (and hope) that a modest number of changes is all that is required.

However, how do you cut or trade an owner?
