Why is everyone so focused on the referee right there?

There’s also the back judge that is responsible for throwing a flag there… what’s the excuse for the back judge? He wasn’t looking?

He was the same blind bat who missed the shirt pull on Diggs in the first half. But in his next game, he will throw a flag on a play 50 yards away. Too darn inconsistent.

You have refs who work at their jobs all week long, then travel to a distant city, and the are expected to stay awake for 3 hours on Sunday.

Either get full time refs or have another ref in the defensive backfield. On passes downfield, there are only 3 refs looking at all those players. They miss way too much.

    What are you talking about?

That last pass was perfect. The defender just made a great play. If the defender stays with Beasley....that's a Gave Davis TD.

OMG! On two different posts, you state that Beasley was not open. Now you state that the pass was perfect. Davis was running a post, which takes his route diagonally through the endzone. When the ball was thrown, he was at the goal line. If it was a perfect pass, the ball would have been about 5 yds deep in the endzone. The ball was tipped well short of the goal line.

Not only that, if you look at the replay,  Davis had to stop his route because it was thrown well behind him. I think you watch too much Madden, and not enough live football.

I remember that play and Allen was nailed BY HIS OWN FREAKING GUY who somehow got blown back into him.  To suggest he could get up and calmly determine in which direction he had "room" is simply wrong.

If you don't see anyone in front of you,  run that way. Don't try and do a spin-o-Rama, a la Mahomes.

There is such a thing as "grounding".  After Allen's blocker was driven into him, knocking him off his feet, he got back up off the ground faster then most QB's would have only to be almost immediately sacked by anther pass rusher.  Are you seriously suggesting that upon getting up Allen should have just thrown the ball away? While between the tackles and into a wind storm that might have kept it from getting out of the back of the end zone?

The expectations that some seem to have of Allen are surreal.

If I recall, when Josh got knocked down, he tried to spin around but in doing so, he ran right into the defenders. If he would have just started running to the left, he had lots of room. His pocket (when there has been one) awareness has been lacking this year.

  5. My only complaint is that on the 4th down pass, he just lofted the throw instead of putting some zip on the ball. The pass fluttered in the wind, which allowed the DB to come back for the ball. Davis would  have been about 5 yards deep in the end zone where the off defender could not have reached it.

Not only that, the pass was poorly underthrown.

    Oh well. On to Tampa.

Most of our struggles are with the OL. Can't open holes for the RB and can't protect Josh.

When they do open holes, the rb's run into the back of a blocker, or run away from the hole. None of our rb's have good vision at the point of attack.
