  1. I haven't yet said that I was done with this team. I did however state what my plan was if next year at this time the team is in the same position. Read the original post. As for being thick skinned; well I've always had a problem with people who make snide remarks and presume they are a rung above others just because they have done little more than type out a few words on a message board. I guess I didn't realize there was a minimum number of times one had to post nonsence before they offered a position on something. According to the DEANS youtube definition of message board ediquette I shouldn't post anything that is realated to a topic that has already been posted although I never saw a post that mentioned my position. If this is true by the way this will be the last post for anyone on this message board. I find it difficult to believe that every post here is entirely original and according to the dean; should not be posted. Sorry if I'm not PC with my posting. BTW how many is this for me? If it's more than 12 than I need another 12 of bud light and a dozen hot wings. If not I guess I have to keep posting until I'm a legitimate poster and a "member of the community."
  2. [And my opinion is, that I really dont' care about what posters who have no history here, and no standing in the community, are going to do in protest of the Bills keeping DJ. So get over yourself. Unbelievable. "No standing in the community." So I have to live in or around Buffalo to be pissed about what's going on with the team. And because I've never gotten on this forum to cheer about the bills I'm not qualified to post. My post was about what I'm going to do. I don't think you have the authority, responsibility, or intelligence to critisize any one who posts for any reason regarding their personal oppinions of the Bills. Being my first post I thought had significance because I've never been compelled to post for any other reason until now.
  3. I said "...works for me." I also said I live a long way from Buffalo. If you wan't to establish a public drop off for bills gear after next season. That's great! I'll send my stuff to you. Either way the media is going to get involved so it won't be silent. Until after next year, this forum seems to be the only way to vent. No one else cares.
  4. Another good idea. You and Beerball should see my first ever post. "Here's what I've dedcided to do." I haven't done the satelite thing, but I do go to the local sports bar that has it, but I can stop doing that and watch the highlights and read the internet when they start losing. BTW 42, been a fan since about '72 when dad told me 'if I wanted to play football watch how number 32 plays." It still hurts to think about it.
  5. I know, I know. Sad, but true. I've burned many hours of the "work" day reading this forum. very...very sad. Love the avitar by the way. Is that a picture of DJ. I know RW likes to put him up on a pedistal.
  6. A little extreme; the burning and all. My suggestion was for those among us who live a long way from Buffalo. I could burn the stuff in my back yard I guess, but even fewer people would care. For me I still think UPS is going to be the best bet. I really do think that not buying any bills gear this year might have an impact. I know that if one bills drive started getting big boxes of bills gear the media would pick up on it in a hurry. The would with the burning too, so would the cops probably.
  7. Like everything that you say except locking up Peters. I keep remembering what Dallas did with Herschel Walker. That is probably the one thing above all else that made them the team they were in the '90's. Maybe we could work a similar trade and load up. Wishful thinking I know, but it's all we've got.
  8. EXACTLY!! Call it being cautiously optimistic if you will. I just read a reply from Kelso Helmet in another thread and I think it sums up what has been happening for the last nine years. He says, "...don't piss down my leg and tell me it's raining." I think that is perfect. I think this small demonstration by the fans to voice our dissatisfaction is exactly what is needed.
  9. Once again the bills making a "big splash" in the FA market is definately what I'm hoping for. As I said, I will continue to follow the bills in the off season and hope that they make some changes for the better. The thing that has me upset is that right now, RW has said, nothing needs to be changed. I can live with him keeping DJ but someone has to be held accountable. It's unreasonable to just say, "Oh well, another 7-9 season, that's the way it goes." If RW isn't too worried about it why not just give the team to Jim Kelly. That's right GIVE. I'm sure the taxes or whatever JK has to pay are less than what the selling price will be.
  10. That's really not a bad idea, but it wouldn't make me feel as good as sending it to RW. I think it would be pretty funny if hundreds of fans sent there stuff to him. Maybe it would send a message maybe it wouldn't. Same thing as not buying and more Bills memorabilia this year. In all likely hood no one's going to notice, but it'll sure make me feel like I'm doing something. I spend a lot of time and it takes a lot of effort to be a Bills fan here. I've enjoed it until recently. I just can't stand feeling like I'm getting s--t on. I really thought RW would do something. He has done nothing. I wonder how many people on this forum would still have there jobs if they had the same attitude about what they do.
  11. Ok, I've been a "lurker" on this forum for years. I never really thought I had anything I needed to get off my chest or discuss until now. I've been a Bills fan as long as I can remember. Since the days of the O.J. and the Electric Co. I can remember several "altercations" with fans of other teams growing up. As a young adult I moved far away from the buffalo area and had quite a bit of trouble keeping up with the Bills until the internet came along. In all that time I never quit being a Bills fan. But I can't take any more of RW snubbingthe fans the way he has recently. So here's what I'm going to do. I've decided to continue to keep up with the Bills in the off season. I don't care who they sign in FA or the Draft. I just want to have the feeling this time next year that the organization has given everything to have a winning season. I will not buy another thing that is related to the Buffalo Bills. I will not spend one cent. Unless the Bills make the playoffs next year. This time next year if the Bills have not made the playoffs I will box up every bit of Bills memorabilia my family has and send it to RW. I don't care what it costs, I intend to purge my life of the Bills if this s--t continues. Where I live it'll be very easy to start cheering for another team and not have to order everything from the web site. I've come to this decision after reading posts about this subject for several days. I have been very impressed with the research a lot of you have put into your posts, and I have come to the conclusion that RW simply wants to maintain the status quo until he's out of the picture one way or another. I wish no ill-will on him at all but sports demand 100% effort 100% of the time, and he's not giving it. If he were a player he'd be on the waiver wire.
