Blame Moorman. He had an off year.
-
He needs all the cash he can get.child support payments are close to $35 grand a month.this is the guy who had to barrow money from the jets to pay the bills.the union most love this.
This was my first thought as well. He needs to keep the money stream going.

To the complete shock of absolutely no one...
It's not like they need to play games, he's the top QB prospect in years, they have the #1 pick. I'd be one the phone with his agents the minute he declares if I was CAR if there was a CBA in place.
Definitely no surprise. I wouldn't be shocked to see them dangle the pick out there in hopes someone bites (for a ransom).

I didn't see the whole column to get the context, but I would assume he's talking about a trait of Fitz that makes him so endearing to fans and teammates. He's not 'me first'.
-
Whitner had another fine game, all around. He's having a quietly very good year.
I read somewhere McKelvin gave up the touchdown pass to TO after he fell down to allow the long pass completion to TO a play earlier. From what I saw, while McKelvin was lined up opposite TO on the touchdown pass, but was not responsible for his coverage when he released to the middle. That was on Byrd, I believe.
Right.
Did Byrd get benched for Wilson after that point?

How can you personally guarantee he will be a Bill when there's a chance he won't be available to be drafted by the Bills. By the looks of things the Panthers and the Cowboys aren't even trying anymore. As bad as the Bills are, they're least trying.
Agreed. I have a feeling the cowboys & panthers will both be drafting ahead of the bills. Id imagine the cowboys would pass up on a QB, but the panthers would definitely jump on one.

Zero. Jay Glazier commented after talking to Merriman when picked up off waivers his attitude was something like 'What did I do in a previous life to deserve this'. Merriman told him he would report to Buffalo because he wants to play this year. Glazier then went on to say he thought he was outta here as soon as FA starts.
Who can blame him?
I am pretty sure he was offering his own opinion and not quoting anything from Merriman. Feel free to spin it how you like though.

From the show that ranked Naimath as #100, I can totally buy Bruce as #31. Namaith is not 100 and Bruce is not 31... Either way, everyone and their mother knows where Bruce ranks.
Namath shouldn't even be top 100.

Whoa, whoa, whoa!!! He's not a bandwagon fan. He's just dropping his loyalties to his team because they are playing poorly and going to start rooting for a team that is playing better. Let's not get crazy and start throwing around the phrase "bandwagon fan"!
-
Fitz has a 99.9 QB rating with 7 TDs and 2 INTs, and is completing 61.2% of his passes. He isn't turning into a stud QB or anything, but he is competent enough that the Bills are scoring points, moving the ball and scored enough points in 2 out of his 3 games to win.
Not the answer long term, but also not the reason the Bills are 0-3 in his 3 starts either...
Fitzpatrick is the least of our problems right now.
-
Oh get off your high horse. Not everyone is cheery and happy to see the Bills get destroyed week in and week out. It has nothing to do with being a bandwagon fan or front runner, it has to do with not wanting to be disappointed each and every game. If you really knew me you wouldn't be saying stupid sh-t like "So you want to be a bandwagon fan." Get over yourself.
No, it's pretty much being a bandwagon fan. It's not like the Bills or any other team have never been bad before. A fan that is only around for the good times is a bandwagon fan. He might as well go root for the Jets, they're mostly comprised of em.

Oh gee, we invested alot of time in Brohm! Guess what - alot of teams have invested a year in their third string quarterback, and you don't see them losing sleep over seeing what they got. They already know: a 3rd stringer.
With Fitzpatrick we may finally have the semblance of an offense, capable of doing more that going three-and-out every drive. That means we are *finally* getting a chance to see what our receivers can do, our backs and line, and whether we can sustain drives and set plays up with the play-calling.
What's more important to this franchise: seeing Brohm and Levi flail away haplessly, or starting to build something with the rest of the offense so that if-and-when we get a franchise quarterback he has a jelling supporting cast and a cohesive system to work in?
Completely agree with ya. With Fitzpatrick in there we can finally evaluate the other pieces and see who fits where.

I'm hoping Garrard hits his hand on a defenders helmet. Nothing serious but enough to put Trent in. If I were Chan I'd call a jailbreak blitz every down and watch the urine run down Trent's leg.
PTR
This would require a defender to be near the QB.
-
Trent is a roleplayer. He would love to be a backup. No fire.
I agree that is his preferred role, but I'm not sure he knows it.
-
indy needs a back up for payton
If he has a choice, I would think he would join a team with a less established starter.
-
I would laugh my ass off if he went to the jaguars, started, and torched the bills when the two played.
We play the 3-4 now. Trent's nemesis.
-
We should bench him, then try to trade him.
-
I'd used condom for him the sell him as a sex slave to russia
-
That was my reaction too. They probably should have announced this after a win.
