  1. Hey guys... I'm not a Trent fan by any stretch, however I think it is ridiculous to cut a guy after 1 game while learning a new offense, had 3 OL starters out, and had his 2 starting RB's out. Not to mention, we don't have a legit #2 WR yet.

The guy was playing against a first string defense, with a second/third string offense... no one would have looked good.

If by preseason week 3 he still looks this bad, I'll ammend my opinion, but for now, he gets 3 games to prove himself before sending him packing.

  2. I stopped watching ESPN 5 years ago. They focus on a few big name city's, their teams, and any player that brings negativity to their sport.

They are the same as the major news networks, they are going for ratings, not for news or analysis.

I do, however, watch NFL Network now and again, because at times... they can be neutral. Unfortunately, I already see them starting to go down the same road as ESPN.

On a broader note... the major news networks (ABC, CBS, CNN, FOX, ESPN, etc) are no longer news networks. They are entertainment networks. The real journalists are online working for sites like TBD, BillsZone, and others.

  3. I'll be curious to see what happens when/if a playcaller decides to leave either of our RB's in the game for more than 4 consecutive plays. While I understand that today's NFL is a 2 back league... I disagree with splitting carries. I feel that a RB gets better as the game goes on. He gets into a rhythm and begins to feel how defenses are playing him. Play each a half, if needed... but Lynch is the type of back that needs 25+ touches a game. 7-12 just won't give him an opportunity to get his motor (beast mode) going.

  4. raise our children and convince our wives to become Bills Fan's when you keep feeding us ****, and good reasons not to!

It's hard enough to get my wife to want to go to a game, when all I do is B word about how much we suck!

I guess its only one game for me again this year! (opener) I almost talked her into allowing me to buy Season Tix if Marty or Cowher came here!

  5. I actually agree with you on this. I think Cowher retired because he was "finished" with football. He achieved what he wanted to achieve, and exited stage left on his terms.

I do not think Billick feels that he has accomplished everything though. While he has an SB ring, it was won by the defense, and being an "Offense Guy", I think he takes some offense to the fact that no-one gives him his due for the SB win.

I, too, feel Billick is hungrier.

  6. Personalized Jersey = Rosy Palm

Agreed. I thought it was Man Law that you can't get your name (or nickname in this case) on the back of a jersey unless you are under 12 years old or actually playing for the team of the jersey you are wearing.

I'm assuming you aren't 12... and I know you're not playing for the Bills... so feel free to return your Man Card at any time!

  7. We are a group of Bills fans from the South Central Pennsylvania, Western Maryland and Northern Virginia areas. We come from places like Chambersburg, Hagerstown, Frederick and Winchester! We are a Buffalo Bills.com registered Buffalo Bills Backers Club and meet for every Bills game at our Backers Bar in Hagerstown.

We are 25 members strong at present, and are looking for more Bills fans to high-five after a Bills touchdown!

    See you there!

  8. I started wondering this in about week 7. I, personally, think that it has more to do with what Jauron allows him to call.

Dick likes to play close games... he is fine with "being in it in the 4th quarter" then letting his defense make a play that allows us to kick the game winning field goal.

The problem is, Dick has coached so many bad teams that simply "being in it in the 4th quarter" is how he is used to succeeding (if you can call it that).

I really believe that Dick thought that Turk was taking too many chances on offense, and putting his defense in a position to play from behind. I just can't imagine 2 OC's back to back doing the exact same stupid things without their boss being part of the problem.

  9. Seriously?

The guy talks all season about being the antithesis of Fairchild.

He comes out in the first week and throws the long ball, establishes the run with runs off tackle and to the edge.

Then... he seemed to forget everything.

I honestly don't see any difference in the playcalling yesterday than in any game Fairchild called.

So is it the OC... or does Jauron have a say in how the offense is called?
