  1. He's got a ton of potential from what I hear, but he fits better as a 3-4 end, probably too small to be a 4-3 DT, even in the cover 2.
  2. Yea, if the Bills passed on Peterson to take Aaron Ross, I will puke as well as break my TV.
  3. Everett is gone unless he makes big strides throughout this offseason, which is still a possibility. He was basically a rookie last year, and he was a JUCO transfer to Miami, so he came into the NFL very unpolished. Jauron often mentioned something like this when asked why he didnt play much last year. I don't really like the idea of Daniel Graham. He was more of a blocking tight end in New England, while Ben Watson was more of a receiving threat. He kind of seems like another Robert Royal, maybe the Bills would be better off drafting a tight end on the 2nd day of the draft who can catch instead. A guy a lot of people like is Ben Patrick from Delaware.
  4. Uhh, are you suggesting we trade up to #8 with Adrian Peterson available, then pass on Adrian Peterson? I don't care how bad our O-line and D-line are, this guy's an absolute monster.
  5. This would be an ubelievable draft, one of the best possible scenarios the Bills could hope for. I just don't see Meachem lasting that long, especially after he runs around a 4.3 40 as many are expecting him to do in his indivicual workout/combine. I see him going in the top 15, this guy's a beast. I think that if Okoye is availabe at #12, there's no way the Bills would pass him up, unless they really fall in love with a guy between now and draft day. He's the perfect cover 2 dt and perfect from a character standpoint as well. But I don't need to tell you that, just look at every post on this site about the draft.
  6. Haha i didnt know i was a race-monger. Better go shave my head.
  7. Chill out man, he's not being racist. Just mentioning a player's skin color doesn't mean you're a racist person. Jim Leonard is the typical white backup safety, a guy who overcomes a lack of size/athletic ability to play in the NFL. There, I said it. It's not being racist, it's just something you see a lot. And this is a Bills talk forum, we don't need people preaching life's values on it. A position you don't hear about a lot on these forums or in the NFL in general is fullback, where Shelton probably won't be back. Maybe the Bills could pick up a guy like Brian Leonard or Le'Ron McClain in the draft, but with all our other needs, we probably would rather go the free agency route. Our running game could really improve if we had a lead blocker that could really open some holes. It's no coincidence that whoever runs behind Lorenzo Neal gets 1,000 yards (although blocking for LT the past few years helps).
  8. Nice mock here too...Getting both Auburn guards would be a great move, and Waters in the 3rd seems like a good fit too. The only pick I couldn't see the Bills doing is Doughty. From the comments said about him by Steve Spurrier when he left school early, he seems like a lazy player who wouldn't fit Marv's character mold. Real good mock though.
  9. -Jacoby Jones, WR, Lane College- 6-foot-4, runs a 4.45, looked like a playmaker at the East West Shrine game. -Dwayne Wright, RB, Freson St.- Has had some injury problems but could develop into a real good rb -Antwan Applewhite, DE, San Diego St./Jacob Ford, DE, Central Arkansas- A couple of undersized pass rushing DEs, maybe one could develop into a Robert Mathis type. -Mansfield Wrotto, OG, Georgia Tech- Long term project at guard with a lot of potential. -Ryan McBean, DT, Oklahoma St.- A guy with a motor and a lot of potential, somewhat undersized and good in pursuit, the kind of d-lineman the Bills really like (I'd rather have a big guy in the middle though).
  10. That was strange to me too, seems like they would stop the clock anytime someone went out of bounds in the last 3 or 4 mins of a half. The way the refs run the clock on those sort of plays seems inconsistent. It probably is just anything that favors the Pats goes.
  11. I really like this mock draft, but it's gonna be real hard for the Bills to get anything more than a 3rd for Willis. Also, the Bills won't retain Nate unless they're willing to give out a huge contract, which seems unlikely. In particular, I really like Lynch, and the 6th and 7th round picks. I didn't know Kenny Scott was that big, I saw him at the East West Shrine Game on Saturday and he looked really fast. Another receiver who I think would be a good pick for the Bills would be Jacoby Jones, from Lane college. He was also in the East West game, and he's 6'4" and very fast.
  12. higgins perfect in what way? in the way that we already have 2 wr's just like him? Let's get a redzone threat for chrissakes...6 foot 3 or higher please
  13. If Lynch is available, he'd be tough to pass up. This also depends on what happens with Willis between now and the draft, but either way, Lynch should be a stud, and far better than Willis in the long run. It's not like the Bills are resigning Willis before the draft, so running back should definitely be a priority come draft day, even though we have numerous needs right now. This offseason we are going to have to (in no particular order): A.) Find a DT to put in the rotation B.) Find a replacement for Fletcher at MLB (if it's Crowell we probably still need an OLB) C.) Pick up some help on the right side of the o-line (preferrably a right guard) D.) Either resign Gandy or find his replacement E.) Find a replacement for Clements F.) Figure out our rb situation and make a decision on Willis G.) Hopefully obtain some sort of redzone target H.) Either re-sign Kelsay or obtain an end for our rotation I.) Wow this sucks, we have so many needs
  14. I would like the Bills to pick up a #2 wr through the draft, but we have so many other needs that it's kinda hard to believe Marv would do it. There's some really good wrs that would help the Bills in the first round or 2, as we could really use a tall redzone threat (Dwayne Jarrett, Robert Meachem, Dwayne Bowe). There's a few big guys later in the draft (Matt Trannon, Dallas Baker, Brandon Myles), but they're simply not the receivers that the first rounders are. Free agency is almost non-existant; Drew Bennett is the best available and he's gonna be vastly overpaid. Hopefully the Bills can add either a big wr or a pass catching tight end at some point this offseason because someone is needed to take the pressure off of Evans. Zack Miller or Greg Olsen, if they last till the 2nd round, could both help the offense a lot, but it's hard to imagine them picking up a tight end with an early pick. Maybe if the Bills can address some of their defensive needs through free agency, a wideout could become a possibility on Day One, but it doesn't look likely.
  15. Ginn would be an awful pick. The last thing the Bills need is a small, fast receiver who returns kicks. I wouldn't mind a WR, but Ginn really wouldn't do much for our offense. How about Okoye, Lynch, Dwayne Bowe, Robert Meachem, Patrick Willis, Marcus McCauley? I would definitely take any of them over Ginn. Ginn's soft anyways.
  16. Sweed's staying for his senior year. Sucks cuz he woulda looked good in a Bills uni.
  17. The Bills need a WR badly. We have one weapon in the passing game, Evans. No receiving threat at tight end, 2 slot receivers (Roscoe and Reed), and arguably the worst #2 receiver in the NFL (price). They really need to build the offense around JP and Evans, and if the Bills want to see those guys continue to improve, they should get them some help. I know we need o-line help as well, but it's a lot easier to pick up a solid guard in free agency than it is to find a WR. Unless you wanna pay Drew Bennett 30 mil over 5 years, the draft is the only way we're finding another receiver. We have lots of needs (2 OGs?, MLB, CB, DT) but wideout is just as glaring, considering we have no #2 receiver. As much as I like Roscoe, Reed, and Price, none of them is a #2 WR. Teams eventually are going to figure out that if you shut down Evans, you shut down the Bills offense. Also, we have zero red zone targets, and Meachem could help take some of the pressure off Evans as well as give us some size inside the 20.
  18. Bowe is looking like a first round pick for sure right now. Kiper has him rated as his 13th best prospect (pre-underclassmen). This is a real good class of WRs and the Bills definitely need one. A lot can happen between now and draft day, but I severely doubt that Bowe will be available when the Bills 2nd round pick comes around.
  19. I may be wrong, but it seems to me that this Bills regime is more interested in WRs who can stretch the field than possession receivers who may not be as fast. Jarrett is definitely a good player who I really like, but he's not as fast as Meachem. I agree with a lot of people that we need a big redzone target more than another deep threat, but just by the way the Bills handled last offseason (signed price, re-signed reed, signed andre davis), it seems like the Bills are more interested in agility and speed in their WR corps than height. Meachem would give us some of both.
  20. Robert Meachem from Tennessee recently declared for the draft. I think this guy would be a perfect fit for the Bills. He's 6-3, 210, runs a 4.45 40, and most people project him to be a first rounder. I think he may go higher than some people think, I predict he has a real good combine or individual workout. He has the size to be a redzone target that we could really use and the speed to be another deep threat that Fairchild and Jauron covet in their wideouts. A lot of people are saying we should get Jarrett but I don't think he'd fit in the Bills offense as well as Meachem. What u think?
