Yes, because when we finally achieve a good defense... we should tear it up and start over.
-
Does anyone know what level he was tendered at? He had a good season last year.
-
Are there any guards worth taking high in the 1st?
-
I don't know if Cleveland would take a 3rd for him.
-
The man was an absolute beast when playing Soph: 61 catches 903 yards 14.8 avg 5 tds Junior: 75 catches 982 yards 13.1 avg 6 tds
-
i don't know, if i were the broncos... i wouldn't let him leave for anything less than a 2nd.
-
He isn't a great blocker, but he uses his body to get into good positions to hold off defenders. His main asset is splitting the middle of the zone, tremendous hands, good route running, and great athleticism.
-
With Scheffler on the block, and a very deep TE class... this could be a great year for getting a TE.
-
So you don't want him to have a bad year, but will be happy if he does?
-
He broke his leg and missed a bunch of games.

Wisconsin TE Travis Beckum ran forty times of 4.61 and 4.63 at the Badgers' Pro Day. Beckum shed about five lbs after playing in the mid-240s as a senior. The vertical threat fractured his fibula in 2008 and didn't work out at the Combine, so it was a big day for him. Beckum is a potential third-round pick. http://rotoworld.com/content/Home_NFL.aspx The man has 1st round talent, and i think it would be a pretty good move to spend a 3rd rounder on him.

Free agent TE Robert Royal told the Cleveland Plain Dealer Wednesday night that he's signed a deal with the Browns. "Everything should be official by (Thursday)," he said. Royal is a decent blocker, but offers little in the pass game. He'd likely be Cleveland's starter if the season began today. Steve Heiden tore his ACL and MCL late last year. http://rotoworld.com/content/Home_NFL.aspx

It looks like you will get your wish this year Bill. The lines are too depleted to not spend some quality draft picks on them. I think DT is almost set, as Kyle Williams is an average starter/good backup... but DE will most likely be their focus.
-
He won't get the same money, because he had a down season last year.
-
Maybe so, but letting him walk this year isn't some devastating loss like simon makes it out to be.

Most of the time you only play 2 CB's, and investing a ton of money into 3 of them isn't a great way of doing business. Youboty played very well when he was nickel, and Florence figures to have locked up the dime spot.
-
Fact: McGee had a much better 2007 than Greer Fact: Leodis had a very strong rookie season Fact: Their 2008 seasons were about equal, if you remove the dolphins game. Fact: Youboty played very well before he got hurt last year. Imo, letting McGee and McKelvin start, and signing Florence to compete for nickel is much better than hampering the development of your 1st round pick. We will still be looking at one of the deepest CB cores next year.

We know the reason Robin Williams postponed all four performances of his one-man show in Florida: Sources say he's currently in the intensive care unit at a Miami hospital with heart issues and could be laid up for a while. Williams, 57, has been on his ''Weapons of Self Destruction'' tour since September. http://www.miamiherald.com/news/breaking-n...ory/933065.html

1. Edwards has an average arm 2. I'll give you that he gets hurt a lot 3. HE WAS IN HIS FIRST !@#$ING FULL YEAR OF STARTING, STILL MANAGED AN 85 QB RATING, AND HAD MORE GOOD GAMES THAN ANY BILLS QB IN A LONG TIME.

We are the deepest team in the league at CB. McGee is a very good corner, McKelvin had a very solid rookie year, and Youboty played very well before his injury. Florence is just depth.

Jabari Greer, Buffalo Bills Season Totals: 47 attempts, 5.81 YPA, 42.55 Forced INC%, 2 TDs, 2 INTs My two cents: The Bills probably have the deepest CB rotation in the NFL. Jabari Greer, Terrence McGee, Ashton Youboty, and Leodis McKelvin are all starting quality CBs. While they all might be solid, only Greer stood out in 2008. Greer missed the final six games thanks to an injury, but he played great in those first ten games. Jabari Greer is an unrestricted free agent and likely won’t be re-signed by Buffalo considering the youthful depth they have at the position. While you might not know much about Greer, believe me, you want your team to sign him. Terrence McGee, Buffalo Bills Season Totals: 101 attempts, 8.16 YPA, 29.70 Forced INC%, 1 TD, 3 INTs My two cents: I decided to put Terrence McGee at number 50 for how well he played before his injury. He obviously rushed himself back as evident from the disaster which was the Dolphins game in Week eight. McGee was thrown at 13 times, 12 of those passes were completed, and he allowed 212 yards (most by any CB this season). McGee is better than that, but the game still happened. If McGee wasn’t ready to play in the game, then he should have watched it from the sideline. There is no reason to rush back from an injury if it means your team will suffer. While many people may consider it a heroic effort, I consider it selfish. I have little doubt that McGee will bounce back in 2009, but with Leodis McKelvin emerging, McGee likely won’t be the Bills CB1. in 2007 McGee had a YPA of 5.8 and didn't allow a catch longer than 25 yards http://nyjetsfan.com/forum2/index.php?show...mp;#entry256416

Just looked up McKelvin's stats, and letting Jabari go was completely worth it. He had a very, very good rookie campaign. Greer had a very good year as well, but removing the dolphins game, and adding 2007... McGee is the better corner. Leodis McKelvin, Buffalo Bills Season Totals: 39 attempts, 6.13 YPA, 35.90 Forced INC%, 3 TDs, 2 INTs My two cents: McKelvin had a rough start to his rookie season, but pulled it all together by the end of the year. McKelvin played great against the Jets, Broncos, and Patriots to end the season. Over that three game stretch McKelvin had a YPA of 4.4 and a forced incompletion percentage of 50. He also didn’t allow a TD during that stretch. I would imagine that the Bills would have McKelvin, Ashton Youboty, and Terrence McGee as their top three CBs next season.

So your expert eye for talent thinks edwards can't play in the NFL?
-
Statistics are useless for CB's? Hogwash, YPA is the single best statistic for evaluating a receiver or corner. McGee had an elite level YPA, while Greer's was little better than average.
-
McGee is a far better cover man, and almost all statistical measures are in his favor. In fact, when McGee hits the open market he will command $8-10 million a year.
