  2. If you are interested, I uploaded my photos from the game and the tailgates at Hammer's Lot. I took a lot of photos. You can see them on my photobucket account right here..... And yes, that IS Hammer getting a ketchup bath! hahaha! http://s159.photobucket.com/user/Mikey82_photos/library/Buffalo%20Bills%20Season%202013/09-29-13%20Buffalo%20Bills%20vs%20Baltimore%20Ravens This is one of my favorites right as Freddie heads to the end zone for the Touchdown! This one is pretty cool too.....
  3. yeah.. I saw that in the lot and had to take a photo.... Priceless! Thank you very much! I'm glad you all enjoy them. lol.... Because he's such a sexy beast. Not really... I just like when they all storm out of the tunnel at once. You are correct about Easley though... He's huge!
  4. Thanks! I am sitting in Row 4 of the tunnel end zone. I don't have a DSLR...it's just a simple point and shoot, Canon Powershot SX10. LMAO! That Thurman you are talking about has actually lost some weight....
  5. #BillsMafia had their big tweetup tailgate. And they were raffling off prizes, one of the prizes was the ability to go onto the field after the game. My buddy Matt won it and took me with him. So a bunch of us got to celebrate the win on the field after the game was over.
  6. I posted a bunch of them on my twitter account earlier today. Here's another favorite...
  7. If you are interested, I uploaded my photos from the game and the tailgates at Hammer's Lot. I took a lot of photos. You can see them on my photobucket account. 8. For half off..it's a very good deal. I might just get the replica one though.
  9. I just got an email that I figured I would share with everyone. There's a 50% off everything sale for 5 hours, starting at 11am this morning at the HOF Store. This includes full size helmets, jerseys and other merchandise. The Bills selection isn't that big, but there's still a few things you might be interested in. Go to http://store.profootballhof.com/
  10. For the people that read my report. I am curious about something. How do you like the new format that I did the scrimmage in? Should I continue that or go back to writing out the paragraphs?
  11. Thanks man! Glad you like it. No problem. Glad you enjoyed it. For most of training camp so far, Kolb got a ton of pressure and Manuel hard received any. It definitely seemed like they turned it up a little higher last night for him. And he was a little rattled from it. Thanks! I'm glad you like it. It was a great time and I hope it continues.
  12. I know that most of you guys may have already read a recap or listened to a play by play from Murph. But I took a ton of notes yesterday and figured I would share my report with you all..... And also, here's a link to my photo gallery on photobucket.... http://s159.photobuc...13 Monday Night ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For the first time in years, the Buffalo Bills had a full team scrimmage at St. John Fisher. The stands were packed with people who came to check out the new look Buffalo Bills. The fans were treated to almost an hour of full team scrimmage, along with red zone work, goal line drills and a 2 minute drill to finish the night. Kevin Kolb was out due to injury, so rookie Quarterback EJ Manuel split the reps with fellow rookie Jeff Tuel. As always the team started out the night by stretching and then went right to work on the individual drills. They spent about 10 minutes working on route running and the other fundamentals to get ready for the scrimmage. Following the individual drills, the team spent another 15 minutes on special teams, focusing on kick returns. The kick returners were Brad Smith, Marquise Goodwin and TJ Graham. Goodwin displayed his blazing speed on a couple of the returns, which dream some loud cheers from the fans. Following the special teams work, the team spent some time on the 7-on-7 passing drills. EJ Manuel started it off with a 4-yard pass to Tashard Choice. He then connected with Marquise Goodwin for 10-yards. Jeff Tuel then came in and connected with Dorin Dickerson for 15-yards and then 8-yards. On the next play, Tuel threw a pass to Brandon Kaufman who bobbled it and the ball ended up getting intercepted by Jumal Rolle. On the final play of the series, Tuel threw a screen to Terrell Sinkfield who was stopped after a short gain. EJ Manuel came back onto the field and dumped the ball off to Zach Brown for 6-yards. He then found Da'Rick Rogers for 10-yards. On the next play, Manuel hit Marcus Easley for 13-yards. He then connected with Marquise Goodwin for 3-yards. Jeff Tuel came back onto the field and connected with DeMarco Sampson for 8-yards. On the next play, Tuel had no one open so he ran with the ball and gained 3-yards. He then threw a 7-yard pass to TE Nick Provo. On the final play of the drill, Tuel saw Brandon Kaufman and threw his way. However, Dominique Ellis and Keith Pough were both there to break up the play. They crashed into the field as the ball went incomplete and Keith Pough hobbled off the field. After the 7-on-7 drills, the team went to work on the full team scrimmage. Usually I would write big paragraphs to describe the plays, but I'm going to write them in a different way, listing the down and the play-by-play. The ball is placed on the 30-yard line and the offense has 70-yards to go. I hope you enjoy these. Tackled by Chris White. 2nd and 8 - Zach Brown stuffed at line. 3rd and 8 - Jamie Blatnick and Marcell Dareus would have had a sack on EJ Manuel. 4th and 12 - Brian Stahovich with a nice 47-yard punt to the 15-yard line. Following the regular scrimmage, the team took a brief break and then went to work on red zone drills. The ball was placed on the 30-yard line. Jerry Hughes started it out with a sack on EJ Manuel. Tashard Choice then ran up the middle for 2-yards. On the next play, Manuel saw TJ Graham, but he dropped the ball. Rian Lindell then tried a 52-yard field goal and had the distance, but just shanked it wide. The offense tried again at the 30 and this time Tashard Choice was stuffed by Marcell Dareus after a gain of 2-yards. Choice then ran up the middle for 4-yards. On the next play, EJ Manuel then threw a beautiful 28-yard pass to TJ Graham for a touchdown. The team then moved back to the 30-yard line for another crack at it. Tashard Choice ran up the middle for 2-yards and hobbled off the field. On the next play, no one was open, so EJ Manuel ran with the ball but was stopped by Nigel Bradham for a short loss. Manuel then held onto the ball too long and would have been sacked by Marcell Dareus. Kendall Gaskins then got a chance, but was stopped by Torell Troup for no gain. On the next play, EJ Manuel found Chris Hogan down the field, but Nickell Roby received a pass interference penalty. The ball was then placed at the 3-yard line. Gaskins tried to get in first and was stopped at the 1-yard line. EJ Manuel then faked out the defense with a nice play action fake where the defense plugged the middle to stop Gaskins, but Manuel ran around the left tackle and walked into the end zone for the 1-yard touchdown. Jeff Tuel then came onto the field with the backups and found Kendall Gaskins for 13-yards. Gaskins then ran up the middle for 2-yards. He followed that with a 1-yard run after getting stopped by Arthur Moats. Tuel then tried to hook up with Da'Rick Rogers but it was broken up by Crezdon Butler. Dustin Hopkins then came in and kicked a 25-yard field goal. EJ Manuel came back in and found Nick Provo for 18-yards. Frank Summers then ran up the middle for a short gain. On the next play, Manuel found Drew Smith for a 12-yard touchdown. Jeff Tuel then came back in with the 3rd stringers. He started out by throwing a pass to Dorin Dickerson, but he was called for offensive pass interference. Tuel was then sacked by Jamie Blatnick. On the next play, Tuel was hit by Chris White and threw it out of bounds. Tuel then overthrew Brad Smith. Dustin Hopkins then got a chance to kick a 52-yard line and nailed it. After another short break, the team went to work on goal line drills with the ball placed on the 5. Kendall Gaskins started it out and was stuffed by Torell Troup and Marcell Dareus. He then tried it again and was tackled for a short loss by Kiko Alonso. Gaskins got one more chance and this time he was stopped by Alex Carrington who tackled him at the line. On his next try, Gaskins ran up the middle for 4-yards. He then got one more chance and was stopped by Da'Norris Searcy behind the line of scrimmage. Tashard Choice then got his crack at it and ran up the middle for 2-yards. He then ran around the left tackle for another 2-yards. On the next play, Choice powered up the middle for a 1-yard touchdown. The ball was then moved back to the 5 and Choice had a nice run around Cordy Glenn who had a good block to spring him into the end zone for the 5-yard touchdown. Tashard Choice then got another shot at it and ran up the middle for 2-yards until Nigel Bradham shoved him to the ground. He then ran around the right side and gained 2 yards until Chris White tackled him. Choice was then stuffed for 2 straight plays. Following the goal line drills, the team finished the day off with a 2-minute drill. Each team had 1:54 on the clock and needed to go 75-yards. EJ Manuel started it off with a 1-yard pass to Brad Smith. Fred Jackson then ran up the middle for 15-yards. Manuel then threw a pass to Robert Woods who appeared to make a nice leaping grab, but it was ruled incomplete. Manuel then went back to Robert Woods for 20-yards. He made a very nice catch and got himself out of bounds to stop the clock. On the next play, Manuel found Fred Jackson for 13-yards. He then went back to Jackson who had some good run after the catch to gain 26-yards. The team then took a timeout with 29 seconds to go. Tashard Choice finished the drive off with a 1-yard touchdown run. Jeff Tuel and the backup team came onto the field next. Tashard Choice started it out with a 4-yard run up the middle. Jeff Tuel then overthrew Marcus Easley. On the next play, Tuel found Marquise Goodwin who made a spectacular catch right over Leodis McKelvin for 26-yards. Tuel went back to Goodwin on the next play, but he dropped it. Tashard Choice then ran up the middle for 2-yards. Tuel then connected with Da'Rick Rogers for 7-yards and the team took a timeout with 33 seconds to go. On 4th and 1, Tashard Choice ran the ball behind the right guard and powered through for a 1st down. Jeff Tuel then spiked the ball to stop the clock with 16 seconds to go. Jeff Tuel was then about to be crushed by Jamie Blatnick, so he threw the ball away. On the next play, Tuel was sacked by Alex Carrington and Jerry Hughes which ended the drill and the practice. Extra Points: 1. EJ Manuel looked shaky throughout the scrimmage and you could tell he was a little rattled by all the pressure he was getting. He did rebound later in the day and had a very nice 2-minute drill. Overall, I'm not overly concerned. He had some good moments and bad moments. But the truth is that Jeff Tuel looked like the better quarterback in the main scrimmage and showed a really nice deep ball several different times. If anything, I was more impressed with Tuel than I was disappointed with Manuel. 2. My offensive player of the day has got to be Marquise Goodwin. He showed blazing speed during several deep plays and looked really quick in the special teams drills. I was also impressed with his hands more than I was with Robert Woods who had a few dropped passes. Goodwin made several acrobatic catches and drew a lot of cheers throughout the night. 3. The defensive player of the day is a toss up for me. I love how Alex Carrington was roaming all over the field and was getting in the backfield quite a bit. He looks like he's finally developing into the player that Buddy Nix loved when he selected him in the 3rd round. On the other hand, I was also noticing Jamie Blatnick almost every single play. He did a nice job pressuring the quarterbacks and making their lives miserable. He also did a very good job containing the running game. 4. I have mentioned Dustin Hopkins a bunch of times and there's a reason why. It looks like he is going to be given every chance to steal the starting kicker job from Rian Lindell. I see him taking that chance and running with it. He's already a lot better at kickoffs and now he nailed all his field goals including a 52-yard field goal that wa0s probably good from another 10-yards. 5. Kendall Gaskins is an intriguing name for me. He's looked very good at camp and was given a majority of carries through the scrimmage. I thought he did a nice job running and showed some good explosiveness as he broke thru the holes. I'm definitely going to be keeping an eye on him. 6. Props go to Coach Doug Marrone for giving us fans our first scrimmage at St. John Fisher since Gregg Williams was in town. It helped pack the stands and it gave us a good show to watch. I loved seeing and hearing the tackling and the players were really getting into it all day long. Overall, it was a great night at St. John Fisher College. It was perfect football weather and the stands were jammed full. I wouldn't be surprised if they set a record for the amount of people at camp last night. The action on the field was fun to watch and a good tease before the Bills' first pre-season game on Sunday.
  13. I'll be honest. I don't own one of those expensive SLR cameras. I'd love to get one. But I'm just using a point and shoot camera. It's a Canon Powershot SX10. I didn't like how they came out last time so I started changing the settings and manual mode. I think I'm going to keep it at these settings for next time.
  14. Definitely and you gotta take advantage of the few afternoon practices they have this year. no problem. Yeah he does seem a little lanky. I thought he would be bigger... The helmet covers signify the opponent. So when they are working on a drill... They use those to show which one is thee kick team and which is the return team. I think it's for the tape. Im not sure. As for Marrone...he deserved major props. He signed for over 45 minutes and then chatted with everyone... BTW, he corrected someone who said show the Jets who the best NY team is... By saying that the Bills are the ONLY team in NY. And then he came up the stairs to take photos with anyone who asked. nope. I was in my favorite spot. Right above the tunnel at the 50yd line.
  15. no problem. Glad you like them. I was wondering that myself. He seemed a little bigger. no problem. Thanks! Yeah I did. The weather was really nice. There was a cool breeze and man was it packed! I think they might have broken a record for attendance.
  16. I decided to sit and just enjoy practice today. So I didn't take any notes or write a report. But I do have lots of photos for you all. Check them out in my photobucket account.... http://s159.photobuc...unday Afternoon I will be taking notes tomorrow night at the scrimmage and will have a full report Tuesday morning.
  17. I've always been assn Easley fan, but I definitely think his days are numbered.
  18. Good idea! I really enjoy the morning practices. I just wish they were a half hour later, so I could get to them on time. to be fair, I also fell in love with Potter's leg. Hopefully Hopkins can improve his accuracy on field goals. I was a little disappointed. that's good to know. I didn't watch Hard Knocks last year. I hope Rogers can do.
  19. Funny thing is the person next to me at camp was comparing Kolb to Trent Edwards. I really hated Trent Edwards so I didn't see it. But the more I think about it, maybe you are right....
  20. Oh and here's the link to my photo gallery from the practice. I hope you like them. http://s159.photobucket.com/user/Mikey82_photos/library/Buffalo%20Bills%20Training%20Camp%202013/07-30-13%20Tuesday%20Morning?sort=9&page=1
  21. http://s159.photobucket.com/user/Mikey82_photos/library/Buffalo%20Bills%20Training%20Camp%202013/07-30-13%20Tuesday%20Morning?sort=9&page=1 Tuesday was the first day the Buffalo Bills players were in pads. So some contact was to be expected. The fans that were actually there got to hear quite a few pops from the players hitting each other and it felt even more like real football. It's going to be interesting to see what happens to the attendance this year though. Morning sessions are usually never that busy and today was no exception. The bleachers were about half full. But the fans that were there got to enjoy a spirited practice. Now, I'll be honest, due to my job I showed up a little late. I missed the passing drills and probably one 11-on-11 series. But I have learned that the first half hour is usually all the individual drills, so I don't think I missed much. Either way, if you are thinking about heading to one of the morning practices, you can easily arrive at 9am and still get to catch a lot of action. Once I arrived, the team was finishing up some 11-on-11 drills, so I used the time to get set up and take some photos. The team then took about 10 minutes or so to work on special teams. They worked on field goals and also kickoffs. Rookie kicker Dustin Hopkins was booming all his kickoffs and sent quite a few of them thru the back of the end zone. The returners that I saw were Leodis McKelvin, TJ Graham and Marquise Goodwin. It's a little early to judge special teams, but I thought Hopkins easily beat Lindell in this round for kickoffs. As for the field goals, they were both pretty close. Both kickers tried field goals from 35-55 yards. Rian Lindell was 4-6, missing two of the longest ones (both from 50+ yards). On the other hand, Hopkins was 4-7, but his missed field goals were in the 40-45 yard range. Following the special teams work, the team worked on 7-on-7 passing drills. Kevin Kolb started it off with a 5-yard pass to Lee Smith. However on the next play, Kolb overthrew TJ Graham. He then connected with Stevie Johnson for 6-yards. EJ Manuel came in next and hit Brad Smith, who dropped the ball. He then went right back to him and Smith caught an 8-yard pass. On the last play of the series, Manuel decided to tuck the ball and run and gained about 5-yards. Jeff Tuel came onto the field next and had no one open, so he ran with it, gaining a few yards. He then threw a short pass to Da'Rick Rogers who showed nice speed, gaining about 20-yards of RAC. Kevin Kolb then returned and hit CJ Spiller for 3-yards. He then found Chris Hogan for a short gain, after TJ Heath popped him. On the final play of the series, Kolb overthrew Hogan. EJ Manuel then came back in and worked with the starters. He first found Robert Woods for 7-yards. Then he followed it with 2 straight completions to Stevie Johnson, one for 8-yards and the second for about 12-yards. Jeff Tuel then came back onto the field for a final time and was almost intercepted by Jumal Rolle, but he couldn't quite get his hands on the ball. On the final play of the drill, Tuel connected with Brandon Kaufman for 18-yards. The horn sounded and then the linemen joined the field for some 11-on-11 work. Kevin Kolb was immediately pressured by Nigel Bradham and ended up throwing it away. He then threw a 6-yard pass to Robert Woods. CJ Spiller got the ball next and ran around the left tackle for 5-yards. On the next play, Kevin Kolb threw a screen to Spiller, who showed his wheels as he took it down the field for a nice 23-yard gain. He most likely would have broken that run for a big touchdown if it was a real game. Kolb then threw a screen to Fred Jackson who gained 4-yards. The backups then joined the field and Tashard Choice ran up the middle for 3-yards. EJ Manuel then threw a screen to Marquise Goodwin for 7-yards. On the next play, Manuel found Lee Smith for 5-yards. Zach Brown then got his chance to carry the ball and ran up the middle for 2-yards. Manuel then dumped the ball off to Lee Smith again, this time for 3-yards. On the next play, Brown got another chance to carry the ball and showed nice burst as he broke through the middle for a 14-yard run. However on the next play, Brown was stuffed by Arthur Moats. Tashard Choice the next handoff and was hit hard at the line by Aaron Williams. Kevin Kolb then found Chris Hogan for 7-yards. On the next play, Jerry Hughes was whistled offsides so Kolb had a free play. But he threw a horrible pass right into Stephon Gilmore’s hands. On the final play of the drill, Kolb chose to run with it and gained 4-yards. Following the 11-on-11 drill, the Quarterbacks left the field to do some work on Growney Stadium while the rest of the team focused on special teams. They practiced field goals and kickoffs again. This time, both Rian Lindell and Dustin Hopkins were a perfect 5-5 on all their field goals attempted. They ranged from 30-yards to 48-yards. Hopkins looked a little better this time around and was hitting the field goals right up the middle. As for the kickoffs, Lindell did a decent job with those. But you could see a big difference between his and Hopkins. Although, there was one play where Hopkins tried to pin the kick returner in the end zone, but the ball went out of bounds at the 1-yard line. After the special teams drills was over with, the team went right back to work on 11-on-11 drills. Kevin Kolb again led off and found Frank Summers, but he couldn’t hang onto the ball. CJ Spiller then got the ball and exploded through the middle for 15-yards. On the next play, Kolb threw a pass to TJ Graham, but Stephon Gilmore was right there waiting for him. Tashard Choice then got his chance, but was stuffed at the line. Kolb then threw an ugly pass that was almost intercepted by Gilmore, but it was just out of his reach. On the next play, Choice ran around the left tackle for 4-yards. EJ Manuel then came in and rolled out, hitting Chris Gragg for a 9-yard gain. He then tried to connect with Marquise Goodwin, but he couldn't quite get the ball. Kendall Gaskins then came onto the field and was immediately stuffed at the line. He got another chance right after that and squeezed his way up the middle for 4-yards. Manuel then found Da'Rick Rogers for 16-yards. On the next play, Gaskins got the ball and this time he ran around the right tackle for 10-yards. The starters came back onto the field and Kevin Kolb immediately felt pressure and most likely would have been sacked by Jerry Hughes. Fred Jackson then got his chance and ran up the middle for 3-yards. He followed that with a typical Freddie run where he churned his legs and pounded his way up the middle for 5-yards. On the final play of the series, Kolb threw a 7-yard pass to Chris Hogan. The third team came onto the field next and Zach Brown ran up the middle for 5-yards. Jeff Tuel then had a QB keeper for 11-yards. On the next play, Kendall Gaskins was stuffed right at the line. Tuel then finished the series off with a 9-yard pass to Drew Smith, who was hit hard and pushed out of bounds by Jordan Dangerfield. Kevin Kolb returned with the starters and tried to connect with TJ Graham, but he dropped it. CJ Spiller then ran up the middle for 3-yards. On the next play, Manny Lawson was chasing Kevin Kolb out of the pocket and would have had the sack. Kolb then found Stevie Johnson for a long pass, but Ron Brooks broke it up. Stevie most likely would have been flagged for pass interference as he never turned his head. On the next play, Fred Jackson was stuffed at the line. He tried again right after that, but this time Jerry Hughes was waiting for him behind the line. Kendall Gaskins then entered the field with the backups and was stuffed right away. However on his second try, Gaskins broke thru the middle for 12-yards. On the next play, Gaskins got his third straight carry and this time he was stuffed at the line by multiple guys. EJ Manuel then connect with Drew Smith for 13-yards. He followed that with a pass to Brad Smith who was hit hard by Leodis McKelvin. Tashard Choice then got a chance to carry the ball, but he was stuffed at the line. On the next play, Kolb threw the ball at Mike Caussin's feet. He then felt a ton of pressure and threw the ball away. On the final play of the day, Kolb connected with Chris Hogan for 17-yards. Hogan made a really nice catch that drew cheers from the crowd and it was the perfect way to end the day for Kolb. Extra Points 1. The first thing on everyone's mind is, how did the Quarterbacks look? Well, to be honest, I'm not that impressed. Kevin Kolb reminds me of a poor man's Ryan Fitzpatrick. His deep ball is not that good and his accuracy wasn't that great today. He made a bunch of bad decisions. Although, to be fair, Pettine is throwing the house at Kolb. I've seen a lot of pressure and quite a bit of blitzing when Kolb is out there. It looks like they are taking it easy on EJ Manuel for now. Manuel had some good plays, but nothing that wowed me. 2. The real competition to watch is at kicker. I'm going to say it right now. Rian Lindell will not be in Buffalo for the regular season. The team drafted Dustin Hopkins for a reason and it's because of his leg. His kickoffs are impressive and if he can fix his accuracy on field goals, I see him easily winning the kicker job. 3. As for Wide Receivers, I was impressed by Da'Rick Rogers today. He made several plays and showed some good speed. But I have a name to watch. Keep an eye out for Chris Hogan. I mentioned him many times in my report. He's doing a nice job getting open and has become a popular target for the Quarterbacks when he is out there. 4. On the defensive side, I'm loving what I see from Stephon Gilmore. He's doing a great job covering his receiver and I have noticed him and Stevie fighting hard for the ball several times. I think he's going to breakout this year. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing him as camp continues. 5. If you get a chance to go to one of the morning practices, I advise it. The atmosphere is much different from the night practice. It's less rowdy, but it's the way Training Camp used to be. Sitting in the sun with a nice cool breeze, while the players are practicing on the grass field. Plus it's easier to move around and get a good seat for the action. The other positive is that you don't have to wait in long lines inside the merchandise tent. Overall, it was a great day for practice. The weather was perfect and any practice where the players are wearing pads is a lot closer to real football than when they aren't. It was nice hearing the pop of the pads as the players went through their different drills. I was a little disappointed with the crowd size though. I’m curious if all these morning practices will hurt their overall attendance this year. Something tells me that it will. After all, this was their first early morning practice since 2009.
  22. I usually park where ever I get a good view depending on when I arrive. I like the 40 or 50 yard-line at Growney Stadium. when its on the grass field, I sit right over the tunnel. yeah I didn't know who he was, but I noticed his number several times throughout the night. I'll be there in Hammer's lot like always with my BZ crew and I'll be waiting for more of that delicious stromboli that you brought us last year. thank you very much. I'm glad you liked it. Yeah I never enough Hughes got a chance in Indy and I was looking forward to seeing what he could do. So far so good. thank you very much. I'm glad you all like them. I worry that I ramble too much and don't give enough detail. But it's harder this year with how fast they are getting out the ball.
  23. Thanks for all the compliments. I love writing these reports and taking the photos. It's nice to share my experience at camp with those of you unable to go. I'll have another report tomorrow afternoon.
