  1. Wow! That means a lot. I'll admit the negativity has chased me away from most of the message boards. That's why I love twitter and BillsMafia. Most of them still have the rose colored glasses and are proud of it. I basically do a shorthand and write just the numbers. It gets tough sometimes, that's why I've given up on the passing drills. Those go way too fast.
  2. Oh and I took a ton of photos. Check out my gallery. http://s159.photobucket.com/user/Mikey82_photos/library/Buffalo%20Bills%20Training%20Camp%202014/07-21-14%20Monday%20Afternoon Agreed. I love what I've seen from him so far. I'm so excited about his ceiling.
  3. By Michael J. Thomas Buffalo Bills Training Camp Gallery - Monday, July 21, 2014 It was the second day of Buffalo Bills training camp and the players continued to spend extra time working on their fundamentals. They worked on several individual drills, 1-on-1 passing drills, 7-on-7 passing drills, 9-on-7 drills and of course the 11-on-11 full team drills. The team also took some time to work on special teams, this time their target was kickoffs and kickoff coverage. The team went right to work at 2:00 on their individual drills, working with the units on certain things to help them with their game. They did this for about 20 minutes and then the entire team did some stretching out to get ready for all the work. The offense worked on some different passing drills, learning about assignments and things like that and then the quarterbacks spent more time working on their footwork. Following those drills, the quarterbacks, wide receivers and tight ends jogged over to Growney Stadium to work on more passing. They did this for about 5-10 minutes and then they came back onto the field to practice 1-on-1's. During the 1-on-1 drills, the plays are very fast paced. I noted a few things that caught my eye during the 1-on-1′s. Right off the ball, Da’Norris Searcy intercepted EJ Manuel. Thad Lewis had a pair of good plays in the drill. One of then was a nice 30-yard pass to Kevin Elliott. The other one was a beautiful 45-yard touchdown pass to Marquise Goodwin. Jeff Tuel had one play that looked like it was going to get picked off, however, Marcus Easley tipped the ball in the air and caught it for 25-yards. The best play was from EJ Manuel, who hit Sammy Watkins in stride for a 45-yard touchdown while burning Leodis McKelvin. Following the 1-on-1 drills, the team finally got to work on the thing everyone is waiting for, the 7-on-7 drills. EJ Manuel started it off with a pass to CJ Spiller, who dropped it. Thad Lewis then came in and dumped the ball off to Fred Jackson for 4-yards. EJ Manuel came back and overthrew TJ Graham. On the next play, Thad Lewis felt some pressure from Brandon Spikes and ran with the ball for 8-yards. EJ Manuel then saw Chris Gragg, but he dropped the ball. Jeff Tuel came in next and overthrew TJ Graham. Manuel then hit Lee Smith for 7-yards. Jeff Tuel then got another shot and dumped the ball off to Anthony Dixon. for 5-yards. EJ Manuel then came back for his final time and overthrew Robert Woods. On the last play of the drill, Dennis Dixon connected with Scott Chandler for 6-yards. The horn sounded and then the linemen came to join in the fun. EJ Manuel started it off by taking a sack from Jerry Hughes. CJ Spiller then ran up the middle for 5-yards. On the next play, EJ Manuel felt more pressure from Hughes, but this time got the ball out and connected with Sammy Watkins for 18-yards. Fred Jackson then ran around the right tackle for 4-yards. On the next play, Jerry Hughes was in the backfield again and would have had the sack. Anthony Dixon then exploded up the middle for 6-yards. He followed that up by getting stuffed at the line by Jarius Wynn. Jeff Tuel then connected with Tony Moeaki for 8-yards. On the next play, Bryce Brown came in and broke to the outside around the left tackle for a gain of about 15-yards. Jeff Tuel then hit Brown for 7-yards. Fred Jackson got his chance next and ran up the middle for 6-yards. EJ Manuel then threw a beautiful 70-yard touchdown pass to Sammy Watkins who continues to impress. Fred Jackson then ran up the middle for a short gain before being stopped by Preston Brown. On the next play, EJ Manuel threw a dangerous pass to Sammy Watkins, who made a great leaping grab in triple coverage and literally stole the ball out of the air. Manuel then hit Robert Woods for 12-yards. The offensive line then drew a false start penalty. Thad Lewis came back in and threw a screen to Evan Rodriguez for 4-yards. He followed that with a nice 13-yard pass to Kevin Elliott. Ronnie Wingo then got his chance to carry the ball and ran up the middle for 6-yards. Thad Lewis then saw Kevin Elliott again, but this time he dropped it. On the final play of the drill, Lewis connected with Bryce Brown for 18-yards. Following the 11-on-11 drills, the team went to work on some kickoff drills. The kick “returners” were TJ Graham, Fred Jackson, and Sammy Watkins. They only worked on the special teams drills for a short time and then did some 9-on-7 drills. EJ Manuel started the drill off with a 10-yard pass to Scott Chandler. However on the next two plays, EJ was pressured to both Hughes and Kyle Williams. He chose to keep in on both plays. Jeff Tuel came in next and connected with Ronnie Wingo for 6-yards. He then threw a pass to Chris Hogan for 30-yards. On the final play of the series, Tuel would have been sacked by Manny Lawson and Stefan Charles who both got in there. Dennis Dixon then came in and connected with Tony Moeaki for 8-yards. However on the next play, Dixon was sacked by Ikponmwosa Igbinosun. Manuel came back on the field and connected with Bryce Brown for 9-yards. He then saw Marquise Goodwin, but Michaek Carter broke the play up. On the final play of the series, Manuel was intercepted by Kenny Ladler. Thad Lewis then came in and dumped the ball off to Frank Summers for 4-yards. He then hit Kevin Elliott, but he dropped the ball. On the final play of the series, Thad Lewis was sniffed out and intercepted by Derek Brim. Dennis Dixon then came back to finish off the drill and saw Chris Summers, but he dropped then ball. Then he ended the drill off with a 6-yard pass to CJ Spiller. Following the 9-on-7, the team went back to work on more 11-on-11 drills. Mario Williams started it right off by sacking EJ Manuel. Fred Jackson then got the ball and ran around the right tackle for 9-yards. EJ Manuel then followed that with a 19-yard pass to his favorite target, Sammy Watkins. Following that play, there was a miscommunication on the handoff between EJ Manuel and Bryce Brown. EJ then threw a screen to Brown for 5-yards. Thad Lewis came onto the field and had no one open, so he ran with the ball for 6-yards. Bryce Brown then ran up the middle for 4-yards. On the next play, both Keith Rivers and Colby Way were in the backfield and would have sacked Thad Lewis. Jacquies Smith got a sack right after that. Lewis finished the series off by dumping the ball off to Bryce Brown for 4-yards. EJ Manuel came back onto the field and saw Sammy Watkins, but both Duke Williams and Deon Broomfield had blanket coverage on him. Manuel then connected with Lee Smith for a short gain. He followed that with a QB keeper for 5-yards. On the next play, EJ Manuel had his pass tipped at the line and it was batted high in the air with 5 or 6 guys there. Sammy Watkins leaped up in the air to a loud cheer and made an acrobatic catch, however he hit the ground hard and was slow to get up. There was definitely some worry from the stands. But he got up and eventually went back to the sideline with his unit after it turned out he just nicked his head a little bit. For the final play of the drill, Bryce Brown ran up the middle for 6-yards. Then team then had little break for a few minutes to cool off. After the break, the team did some more kickoff practice. It’s way too early to see anything there, but I noticed that Fred Jackson, Marquise Goodwin and Ronnie Wingo were the kick returners. They only worked for about 5-minutes and then the did one last 11-on-11 drill. CJ Spiller started it off with a 5-yard run up the middle. EJ Manuel then made a nice move to avoid the sack and gained 6-yards. Spiller got another chance and ran up the middle for 8-yards. Following the run, Da’Norris Searcy and Robert Woods got into a little scrum after Searcy tried to drag Woods to the ground and Woods threw a punch. Then things got heated. They even had to pull Searcy away. On the next play, Manuel threw a screen to Anthony Dixon, who ran for 20-yards displaying some nice burst. He then ran up the middle for 4-yards. Jeff Tuel came onto the field and connected with Marquise Goodwin for 18-yards. He then hit Mike Williams who made a nice catch for 15-yards. On the final play of the series, Tuel overthrew Chris Hogan. EJ Manuel came back on the field and connected with Scott Chandler for 17-yards. On the next play, Bryce Brown was stuffed at the line. Manuel then threw a 7-yard pass to Brown. On the final play of the series, Manuel threw an 8-yard pass to Frank Summers. Thad Lewis then came in and saw Lee Smith, but Jimmy Gaines broke it up. Ronnie Wingo then had two carries in a row, one for 9-yards and one for 3-yards. On the final play of the day, Thad Lewis connected with Lee Smith for 5-yards. Extra Points: 1. The best player on the field by far was Sammy Watkins. I don’t see anything with him that makes me think he wasn’t worth what the Bills gave up to get him. It looks like the Bills have finally found their #1 receiver for their first time in a while. Watkins looked like a man among boys and was toying with the DB’s. It was fun to watch! 2. I think people are going to be surprised with Mario Williams this year. He looked reborn out there. I’ve noticed him appearing in the backfield several times throughout the day and he’s making EJ Manuel nervous out there, just like Jerry Hughes is doing. 3. On the negative side, I don’t see anything that impresses with Tony Moeaki. I’m disappointed because I remember him at Kansas City and was looking forward to seeing what he can do. But so far, he looks very slow out there and is very low on my TE depth chart. 4. One interesting thing the team is doing this year, they are blasting music all throughout camp during the team drills. I don’t know if it’s so they can handle the crowd noise better or it’s just to get them relaxed, but it’s nice. They have quite a mixture of music playing throughout the day. 5. Props go to Head Coach Doug Marrone, DT Kyle Williams, LB Ty Powell, Marquise Goodwin, all the Special teams kickers and the different rookies that hung around after practice to sign autographs for the fans. It’s always nice to chat with the afterwards and to get the occasional autograph here and there. Overall, it was another solid day at St John Fisher. The weather was perfect, the crowd was into it and the practice itself was run smoothly. However I’m definitely looking forward to seeing the difference in tempo once they put on the pads though. http://www.billszone.com/?p=1820
  4. I can honestly see Frank Summers as a camp cut. They can use Dixon as the HB. No idea why Hopkins didn't do any kicking. I guess they are keeping on kickoffs only. Not sure...
  5. That's exactly the problem I run into while writing my notes shorthand in my notebook. It also doesn't help that I'm taking photos many times throughout too.
  6. Thanks for the compliment! Glad you appreciate them. Thanks!
  7. Thanks! Glad you like it. Agreed. IMO, it's our deepest position. Thanks! Thanks! Agreed, I am too. I'm praying he's okay.
  8. Thanks! Glad you enjoy it. Sorry it's a little late. I tried to get this up earlier, but I worked last night after practice. No problem. And nice job on the live training camp report. I was just looking at those. I don't know how you do it. I have problems keeping up with my notes. Actually, that's a huge part of it. Chris Hairston was terrible.
  9. Alright, I know I'm a lurker quite a bit. But I always get requests for my reports. So I'm posting my report from last night. Check it out.... Buffalo Bills Training Camp Gallery - Sunday, July 20, 2014 After another long offseason, Buffalo Bills 2014 training camp has finally begun. The team started camp off with a Sunday night practice in hopes that it would attract more people and that's exactly what it did. The stands were packed and the fans were loudly cheering their favorite players on. The weather helped too, it was in the upper 70's, low 80s with a nice cool breeze. The practice itself lasted about 2 and a half hours. To start the day off, Head Coach Doug Marrone had the players spend quite a bit of time working on fundamentals. The team was split into their individual units and worked on drills suited for their position. The individual drills went for about an hour with some special teams mixed in. During the individual drills, the Quarterbacks, Running backs and Wide Receivers went over to the grass field, while the linemen and defense stayed on the field at Growney Stadium. Following the individual drills, the Quarterbacks worked on passing drills with the receivers. I tried to keep up, but the QBs were flying thru the drills and it was very fast paced. I did take a few notes on plays that stood out. Right away, Leodis McKelvin had a nice pass breakup on Robert Woods. Stephen Gilmore displayed good coverage when he was out there covering the receivers several times. Mike Williams drew the most cheers when outleaped Brandon Smith on a 20 yard pass from Thad Lewis. On the negative side, all 4 quarterbacks overthrew their targets several times and looked a bit off. But EJ Manuel was the best of the bunch. Following the 1-on-1 drills, the team went to work on some 7-on-7 passing drills. EJ Manuel started it off with a 4-yard pass to Scott Chandler. Jeff Tuel then came in and threw a 17-yard pass to TJ Graham. EJ came back in and overthrew Tony Moeaki who seems a bit slow. Tuel returned and threw a pass to Caleb Holley, but Corey Graham drew a pass interference penalty. On the next play, EJ Manuel threw a screen to Bryce Brown for 5-yards. Thad Lewis then came in and threw a screen to CJ Spiller for 6-yards. EJ Manuel returned and threw a 12-yard pass to Chris Hogan. On the next play, Tuel returned and underthrew Marcus Easley. EJ Manuel came back onto the field and threw a nice pass to Sammy Watkins for 30-yards. After the horn sounded, the linemen came onto the field and the team worked on 11-on-11 drills. Seantrel Henderson left with an injury during the individual drills, so Chris Hairston came in and started at left tackle while Erik Pears started at Right tackle. CJ Spiller started it off with a short gain up the middle. EJ Manuel then overthrew Robert Woods. Spiller then got another chance and squeezed thru the middle for a 4-yard gain. On the next play, EJ Manuel threw a pass to Marquise Goodwin, but it was a bit high and Goodwin couldn’t get it. EJ then tried again and threw a 9-yard pass to Goodwin. The backups came in and Anthony Dixon showed some nice burst up the middle for 5-yards. On the next play, Doug Legursky had a terrible snap that flew over Thad Lewis’ head. He got the next one off, but Thad Lewis felt pressure from Jacquies Smith and threw it away. Anthony Dixon got another chance with it and then time found a hole and ran up the middle for 10-yards. On the next play, Thad found Chris Hogan who made a nice diving catch for 16-yards. Fred Jackson then tried to run up the middle, but he was stuffed for no gain. On the next play, one of the offensive linemen drew a false start penalty. On the next play, Mario Williams would have sacked EJ Manuel. He followed that up by stuffing Bryce Brown at the line. Jeff Tuel then threw an 18-yard pass to Evan Rodriguez. He then overthrew Caleb Holley. On the next play, Ronnie Wingo ran up the middle for 3-yards. Jeff Tuel then threw a pass to Evan Rodriguez, who dropped it. On the final play of the series, Tuel found Ramses Barden for 12-yards. Following the 11-on-11 drills, the team took a brief break and went to work on special teams. Brian Moorman and Jake Dombrowski went back and forth punting the ball to Robert Woods, Fred Jackson and Leodis McKelvin. Moorman definitely won this battle as he was consistently getting great hang time and kicked them high and far. The best one was a beautiful 46-yard punt to the 9-yard line that went out of bounds. As for the punt catchers, Woods showed some good moves after he caught them, while McKelvin dropped one the last punts in the drill. The Bills worked on special teams for about 10-15 minutes and then went to work on 7-on-9 drills. To start the drill off, EJ Manuel threw an 8-yard pass to Scott Chandler. He followed that with a 12-yard pass to Sammy Watkins. On the next play, Manuel underthrew Robert Woods and Aaron Williams intercepted the pass. Jeff Tuel came in and found Lee Smith for 6-yards. He then dumped the ball off to Tony Moeaki for 2-yards. On the final play of the series, Tuel connected with Anthony Dixon for 11-yards. Dennis Dixon entered the field and threw an 8-yard pass to Chris Gragg and followed it by overthrowing Tori Gurley. EJ Manuel then came in and threw a pass to Chris Hogan who gained about 20-yards. On the next play, Manuel felt pressure from Ikponmwosa Igbinosun and dumped it off to Bryce Brown for 12-yards. He then tried to connect with Woods, but he dropped the ball. Thad Lewis came in next and connected with CJ Spiller for 15-yards. He then overthrew TJ Graham but followed that with a 7-yard pass to Lee Smith. Dennis Dixon came onto the field and saw Kevin Elliott, but he dropped it. He then overthrew Ramses Barden. The horn sounded after that pass and then the team went to work on 11-on-11 drills. Fred Jackson started the drill off with a run up the middle for 5-yards. On the next play, EJ Manuel would have been sacked by Jerry Hughes who beat Chris Hairston. CJ Spiller then ran around a block from Hairston and gained 15-yards. On the final play of the series, Manuel underthrew Mike Williams. Thad Lewis came in and was almost intercepted by Ron Brooks. Bryce Brown then ran up the middle for 2-yards. On the next play, Lewis threw a pass to Brown for 13-yards. Lewis then kept the ball and ran for about 3-yards. EJ Manuel came back and dumped the ball off to CJ Spiller for 4-yards. Spiller then carried the ball up the middle for 5-yards. On the next play, Manuel threw a 14-yard pass to Sammy Watkins. Anthony Dixon followed that up with a run up the middle for 4-yards. Manuel then threw a pass to Dixon for 6-yards. Dixon then got the ball one more time and ran up the middle for 4-yards. Dennis Dixon came onto the field and overthrew Chris Hogan. Ronnie Wingo then ran up the middle for 3-yards. Dixon then overthrew TJ Graham. On the final play of the series, Wingo ran up the middle for 5-yards. The horn sounded and then the team went to work on some more special teams drills. This time field goals were the focus. Dan Carpenter was the only kicker to take snaps and was a perfect 7 out of 7. There was also a couple different fakes. One fake was a familiar one for Bills fans. Brian Moorman had a fake field goal rollout to the left and gained about 5-yards before going out of bounds. Moorman also had a rollout to the right and tried to throw a pass to Chris Gragg, but Duke Williams broke it up. On the final play of the drill, the team did a fire drill to get the field goal unit out there with 30-seconds remaining. Dan Carpenter nailed the 47-yard field goal with no time left on the clock. After the special teams work, the team went back to 11-on-11 for one last time. Fred Jackson started it off with an nice 12-yard run around the left tackle. EJ Manuel then felt major pressure from Jerry Hughes and kept the ball for 10-yards before sliding. Fred Jackson then got the ball again and exploded up the middle for 8-yards. EJ Manuel then connected with Lee Smith for 15-yards. On the next play, Manuel threw a pass to Bryce Brown for 16-yards with most of that run after the catch. Jeff Tuel entered the field and immediately felt pressure from Manny Lawson and chose to run with the ball. He then threw a pass to Chris Gragg for a short gain. Bryce Brown then ran up the middle for 9-yards and showed nice speed. EJ Manuel came back in and felt a lot of pressure, but he got the ball out towards Robert Woods, however Ross Cockrell broke the play up. CJ Spiller then got the ball, but was stuffed at the line. On the next play, Manuel would have been sacked by Jerry Hughes. Anthony Dixon then ran up the middle for 7-yards until Cockrell met him. On the next play, Hughes came flying in to pressure EJ Manuel who ended up throwing it away. Thad Lewis came in and overthrew Chris Summers. Ronnie Wingo then ran up the middle for 6-yards. On the next play, Thad Lewis connected with Tony Moeaki for 11-yards. Wingo then ran up the middle for 3-yards. On the final play of the series, Thad Lewis hit Ramses Barden, but he dropped it. EJ Manuel then threw a 12-yard pass to Sammy Watkins. CJ Spiller got the ball next and ran up the middle for 9-yards and followed it up with a 4-yard run. On the final play of the series, EJ Manuel had his pass batted down at the line. Thad Lewis then came in and had a couple connections with Chris Hogan and Chris Gragg. But the play of the day was a beautiful 70-yard touchdown pass from Jeff Tuel to TJ Graham. After that play, the horn sounded and the practice was over. Fans lined up at the fence for autographs and Day 1 at Buffalo Bills training camp was complete. Extra Points: 1. EJ Manuel had a decent day, but overall the quarterback play was pretty mediocre. They got better as the day went on, but no one really impressed. However, it is only the first day. So this really means absolutely nothing. Jeff Tuel was probably the second best quarterback. 2. Jerry Hughes was easily the player of the day! He was in the backfield many times and made life miserable for Chris Hairston. I was impressed with how quickly he got to EJ Manuel and the other quarterbacks. Mario Williams also looked good out there and had several pressures and would have had a couple sacks too. 3. Keep an eye on Anthony Dixon. I know he was talked about being a special teams player, but he looked really good. I was impressed with how fast he was. He showed excellent burst up the middle and did a nice job with the run after catch. He also showed pretty good hands when thrown to. 4. Sammy Watkins is already a fan favorite. He received cheers from the fans every single time he caught a pass It actually reminded me of Terrell Owens when he first came to camp. I’m sure there will be a lot of Watkins jerseys in the Ralph this year. 5. Two players left the field with injuries, offensive tackle Seantrel Henderson and wide receiver Marquise Goodwin. Hopefully they are both okay. The team can’t afford to lose either of them. 6. Props to EJ Manuel, Scott Chandler, Sammy Watkins, Brian Moorman, the offensive linemen and many rookies for stopping at the fence to sign autographs for the fans after practice. Overall, it was a good day at Buffalo Bills training camp. The place was packed with thousands of fans and they all seemed to enjoy themselves. It was a nice sunny day and there was a breeze to keep everyone cool. Couldn’t ask for much more than that. The day started out slow with all the individual drills, but once the players got started on team drills, the time went by quickly. http://www.billszone.com/?p=1803 Here's my Training Camp photo gallery for Day 1.... http://s159.photobucket.com/user/Mikey82_photos/library/Buffalo%20Bills%20Training%20Camp%202014/07-20-14%20Sunday%20Night?sort=9&page=1
  10. Just got DirecTV at my house. Watching the RedZone channel right now. It's definitely Football Heaven!
  11. Me too. It's a cool pic of the sack. That would have been nice. Thanks man. There's a whole story behind it. You should come to Hammers Lot and ask him. But yeah he cleans himself up right in time for the game ever single Sunday. lol! You smart ass! I typed in 2013 but apparently it didn't take it. Should be fixed now. Thanks for the compliments though. Glad you like them. Thank you very much! I appreciate it. Thanks! I love it. It's an older model Canon point and shoot... But it's as close to a real DSLR as I can get without paying thousands of dollars.
  12. If you are interested, I uploaded my photos from the game and the tailgates at Hammer's Lot. I took a lot of photos. You can see them on my photobucket account right here.....If you want any originals, just let me know. Hope you like them.... http://s159.photobucket.com/user/Mikey82_photos/library/Buffalo%20Bills%20Season%202013/11-17-13%20Buffalo%20Bills%20vs%20NY%20Jets Here's a few favorites of mine.....
  13. Bingo! That's the reason why. I'm just glad we aren't playing the Pats after their bye week this year...like we always do.
  14. Thanks! Thanks! No I definitely didn't. Thanks. Glad you like them. Thanks! I appreciate that. lol...no, I was a little busy with our tailgate party. A couple people who haven't been to Buffalo in a while were tailgating with us, so I stayed over there.
  15. Thanks! He's an admin, but there are several others in charge. Thanks man! Thanks! I sit in Row 4 of the tunnel end zone, Section 123. Here's a few more....

  17. the first one is Kenny the pinto guy. And yes he does. The second guy is Hammer from this board.
  18. thanks man! And nice job with the ketchup ceremony. That was entertaining seeing you get sprayed with ketchup and mustard. Lol Thank you very much! I love taking photos at both locations so you can see the different views of the day. The only problem is that I never end up many photos unless I hand my camera to someone. I'm not too sure. I was thinking the same thing because I have one of his jerseys in the back of my closet. I'd love to get it signed. I'll ask Kenny when I see him Thursday in Cleveland. Thanks! But here's the best part... It's just a simple point and shoot camera. I don't own a DSLR or any lenses. It's a nice camera though... Used to belong to my grandpa.. A Canon Powershot SX10.
  19. Thanks! hmm, I never thought of that. That's a good point. Either way, I'm glad they brought him back. I liked him the last time he was here and never understood why they let him go.
  20. Thanks....I don't know what happened, but I fixed it. Here's the link..... http://s159.photobucket.com/user/Mikey82_photos/library/Buffalo%20Bills%20Season%202013/09-29-13%20Buffalo%20Bills%20vs%20Baltimore%20Ravens
