Could be the next Sherman
Sure, if he grew 4-5 inches, and had football instincts.
-
Jim Kelly throwing a pick 6 to terrell buckley in the end zone in the final seconds with the game on the line ranks a tad higher.
That was preceded by one of the worst Intentional Grounding calls I've ever seen.
-
This was not in the same universe as Wide Right or Home Run Throwforward.
-
Totally agree, Rob.
2 total yards on any of those 5 runs (3 on the goal line against the Bengals, and 2 today, before the fateful Pick 6), and this is probably a completely different season.
Would a FB dive really be a bad thing in that situation?
-
Irrelevant, Percentages still heavily favor the offense in this situation.
In theory, I agree with you, and I think that given the circumstances today, a run was absolutely the correct call on 3rd down in that situation.
But, given this offense's track record, who gets the ball in that situation?
-
Cincinnati game?
Yep. 5 runs, and 0 yards. If only we had gained 2 total yards on any of those 5 plays...
Still, I hated the play call today.

Drink
Nah, already have a headache.
KC's defense may have been shredded, but they produced 3 turnovers which resulted in a victory.
Good teams win.
Bad teams make excuses.
Congrats to the Chiefs.
Good teams win. So did KC.
Do you think they played well today? I sure as hell wasn't impressed.
-
Smith is the reason the Jets are 5-4?
-
- Someone should tell Dierdorf that KC won this game solely due to Bills' miscues. A slew of unforced errors by the Bills gave the Chiefs this game.
- yeah, I'd rather be 9-0 than 3-6, but KC has to be the worst 9-0 team I've ever seen. Their "stout" D was shredded today, and their offense looked pedestrian, at best.
- Tuel's accuracy is brutal. Yeah, the receivers had a few drops, but his floating passes over the middle of the field and his under thrown deep balls were costly.
-speaking of drops, we severely need an upgrade at TE. Chandler's hands are inconsistent, he can't stretch the field, and he's a below-average blocker.
- I hated the 3rd and goal call, but the offense's inability to punch it in on the ground on the 2 plays prior was a killer. I kept on thinking back to the Cincinnati game -FJ got stuffed on three straight plays from the 1. Just think, 1 yard on any of those 5 plays, and we're likely 5-4, instead of 3-6.
- The Goodwin "incompletion". How long after he's on the ground and contacted by a defender does the defense have to knock the ball away?
-
Why not kick the FG here?
-
Chandler is such a chump.
-
Goodwin, all day.
-
-
Dierdorf is a clown.
-
So the DB can fall on top of the WR twice when the WR is on the ground, and the WR has to maintain control the entire time?
Like I said earlier, we get very few of these borderline calls. The on-field overrule pretty much screwed us.
-
Underthrown again...
-
No penetration from KW in the 2nd half
-
Yep, this is it.
I fully expect another Tuel INT.
-
Easley folks. .. let me guess. Bad pass right
He needs a corny nickname, so that he can get more reps at WR.
-
Clutch punt by Moorman, too.
-
Wide open, and badly overthrown.
-
Yet another terrible throw.
-
A speedster on a 7 yard cross. That was an okay play there.
I don't think that the ball was thrown 7 yards past the LOS, and I also don't think that Graham was hit 7 yards past the LOS.
-
As much as I try to give the guy a fair shake, I really don't like TJ Graham.
IMO, he's not a football player.
Same here.
Convert TJ Graham to safety.

Just checked, and Graham is listed at 5'11", although he plays much smaller.
