Gilmore was horrible yesterday, there's no other way to state it. He was behind his man most of the day and played soft which I dont' get because his strength is getting up in guys faces and jamming them at the line. He's not quick enough to stay with guys if he gives them a clean release and he did so yesterday time and time again.
The Bills D line was also bad. They got pushed around, Mario peeked inside on more than one occasion and lost his edge contain and nobody looked like they came to play.
Overall I'm just not impressed with the D. Yeah, sure, its' better than the putrid crap we've had to watch the past few seasons but that doesn't make it good. There is too much talent on that D to be average like they are. Everybody is laying into the offense (and I agree, they suck) but I cut them some slack because of the young QBs, young WRs and Colin Brown was manning a G spot for most of the season. But the D, I expect more from them and time and time again they fail to deliver.
yep. IMO, the D, collectively, is not greater than the sum of its parts. Not sure of the reason why, but that's my feeling.

The team is puzzling. The defense looks great, but statistically they are horrible. The offense is a top o in the league, but they look like garbage. The backup QBs look better than the starter. The CB everyone didn't want to re-sign looks ten times better than our #1 CB pick. We seem both set at every position, and have holes at every position. It's an enigma.
You know, that's pretty much the way that I see it, except for the QB situation.

Goodwin seems far more explosive, and does seem to have better WR instincts

He just doesn't seem to have much football sense. IMO, he's a track guy masquerading as a football player.

I'm all for UB and Mack but how was that a safety? The QB was clearly on the 5 when he intentionally grounded?
They then reviewed the play, only to say, following the review, that the play was not reviewable. Comical.
