  1. Man if I would have had to watch that concert I would have just gotten drunk, passed out, and pissed myself. Linkin Park is one of the five worst bands out there today.

    I guess LP is one of the guilty pleasures I have BF, their music isn't really quality, but it's fun to listen to. They do put on a pretty good show and even played a cover of NIN. That being said, I would've much rather saw Metallica and Godsmack, the LP show was a gift for my younger brother, it was his first concert.

  2. I'm going to the show in Atlanta Nov 7th. Freaking concert prices are getting ridiculous... to the point of not worth going anymore. Guy I work with just forked over $200 for two freaking Van Halen seats.

    Nuts. I guess it's all those damn file sharing kids stealing all of the artists' profit, need to feed those kids, ya know...rolleyes.gif

    200 bucks for Van Hagar.... :wub: They opened the tour here and the show sold pretty well, but Hagar singing Diamond Dave's songs make me sick. I did hear some rumors a while back that they actually wanted DLR and SH to both come on tour, but DLR said no when he was told he would get any control over the set list or stage time.

    As far as ticket prices go, all I can do is laugh when my Dad tells me about seeing bands like AC/DC, Ted Nugent and Aerosmith together back in the 70's for 15 bucks. :doh: The closest I've came to that is 35 bucks for tickets in the pit for Linkin Park, Hoobastank, P.O.D. and Story of the Year. SOTY plays a pretty good cover of Enter Sandman btw.

  3. In the land bordering the great cataracts

    An octogenarian shall pass from this world.

    His offspring shall evince no interest in his possessions

    And shall trade them for currency.

    He who will pay much for these possessions

    Shall have a surname ending in a vowel.

    Thus will he be the savior and master of two squadrons

    And be acclaimed throughout this benighted land.

    The Great Leader shall retain his inept generals

    As he did with the first of his armies.

    Thus will the second army sink deeper into oblivion

    And the people shall wail ceaselessly.

    Golisano gonna buy the Bills is what I got from that.

  4. I've worked my job hungover and it always sucks. The loud conveyor belt, all the dust in the warehouse, and the people on my shift make it a stevestojany experience everytime. Going to my morning classes hungover isn't as bad, but that sucks too.

    I bet some of those freezing stuff with liquid nitrogen stories are pretty good WWVaBeach.

  5. I did not reaize VH was eligible yet, then I went and looked at my VH 1 CD and it was a 1978 release. How in Gods name does VH not get in almost immediately? What...did Eddie not have enough influence on Rock Guitar? What a joke...And I'm not even going to get into the Sabbath thing because that is simply a travesty. Sabbath should have gone in directly behind Led Zep as far as I'm concerned. Their influence on Hard Rock was SO significant...just ask Chris Cornell...

    They've been eligible since 2003...maybe whoever makes up the ballot is waiting for Diamond Dave and VH to do a real reunion before nominating them? That's the only reason I could imagine that they're not on the ballot.

  6. U2, Grandmaster Flash & the Furious Five, Randy Newman and the O'Jays are among the nominees for the 2005 induction class of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

    They are joined on the ballot by the Pretenders, Buddy Guy, Wanda Jackson, the J Geils Band, Conway Twitty and Percy Sledge.

    The Sex Pistols, the Stooges, Lynyrd Skynyrd and the late Gram Parsons were previously nominated but remain on this year's ballot.

    I think it's pretty pathetic that some of these guys could possibly go into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame while Black Sabbath and Van Halen haven't been nominated yet. Music experts indeed. :huh:

    Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Nominations

  7. but really, i mean honestly - how much more specialized a job can you have? For a living you either kick, or practice kicking fieldgoals. there should be guys in the NFL that can kick a 75 yarder, simply because they dont do anything else.

    I don't know why, but that actually made me lol. Maybe it's just b/c I imagine stevestojan saying this in Denis Leary type of way. :doh:

  8. Brady would toast the Flash. Based on what I've been reading here, he runs a sub-4.0 40. This August, he would have training camp in the morning, fly to Athens, win a gold medal, and swim back in time for the second half of his two-a-days.

    :angry::blush::blink::blink::w00t:

    So that was no hurricane that hit Florida, that was just Brady's wake on his swim back.

  9. A championship QB like Tom Brady would have been all over that Moulds fumble - hell, he would have laid the critical block and let him into the endzone.

    :angry::blush::blink:

    Actually I think Tom Brady would've thrown it, then ran down the field and caught it himself and ran it into the end zone, Bugs Bunny style.

  10. Once Madden and Michaels started talking about how Vanderjagt had this huge streak going, I knew he would miss that kick. The Colts choked last night, sure you can blame Vanderjagt for missing that kick, but turnovers in the red zone, especially Edgerrin James doing his best Earnest Byner impression is what did them in.
