Special teams and backups keep the status quo.

I believe this is a resonable offseason. Along with natural player progression it could have a chance.

  2. With their 2-0 start, the Bills have now caught the eyes of many. After winning two games against evenly matched opponents, people are starting to take the Bills seriously.

This is why next week's game against the Raiders is huge. The Raiders are not a good team. Yes they won today at Arrowhead, but the Chiefs are putrid. What is most important about next week is that this will be a game where the Bills will be favored and expected to win rather easily.

This game also has all of the makings of a trap game. It is very important that the Bills stay focused, but they have to come out with a swagger that they know that they should win next week. This is another step towards respectability. It will show that a good team like the Bills can win the games that they are supposed to win.

If the Raiders keep the game close, there will be doubts about the Bills. But if they win by at least 2 touchdowns, then they will earn more respect.

I expect the Bills to be very aggressive next week and beat up the Raiders the same way the Broncos did.

agreed, but this is the nfl not college. if they win by 1 or 21-i don't give an eff about anything else. you are right-on the money about a trap game...good teams keep the pedal to the metal.

  3. Sorry if already mantioned. Looking ahead to Sun. this team needs to keep the foot on the pedal. Serious teams go after mismatches. My favorite part of Sun was watching Turk go after 21(jennings) time and time again. Jax is hurting and not so strong in the trenches. Garrard needs to be bottled up and sent home in worse shape than Hasselback. This is a better team and the Bills will need a better effort to achieve the same results.

It will be good to see Tutan again though......

  4. What do you think, is he done? His stand on this sounds like a death wish.

jayson, ralph, russ and the rest can go F themselves. I'm tired of shelling out money, time and energy on this thankless group. Nine months have passed to fix this. 55,000 seson tickets plus that whore-job in Canada and still not enough $ to go atround?? Screw-em all. We give -they take....

  5. Not to mention a scoop like that would be on their friggin' website, and every other media outlet would be quoting them. It's not like they keep stuff like that secret. The only other explanation is he did say something but realized it was false.

    PTR

Its called a scoop because someone beats everyone else to a story. The dude starting this thread heard it. I watced it(twice with time warners help). Its not a 100% done deal, but its better than the status quo stalemate. It seems like you're the glass half-empty type.

  6. Ya that is what i saw billybob...and i dont think his coverage was all that bad.........Reggie Corner looked really good though...i thought!

I thought corner was a little hot and cold(he was burned by the slot a few times). Mckelvin seemed solid. will james was a little disappointing. I was surprised to see Youboty start and play well. Jabari Greer was good too.

  7. Dude is from the deep south. He doesn't enunciate. Has zero to do with intelligence.

I have a feeling you wouldn't be able to make it through an interview with someone who has got a heavy Scottish highland accent. Usually they include subtitles with those things for people with listening impediments, though, so maybe you'd be ok.

What does geography have to do with him being stupid? You insult the entire deep south.

Eric Moulds didn't sound like this.

It reminds me of listening to Willis McGahee. Was he a misunderstood genius as well?

    Are you Scottish or Southern?

  8. It's funny how an entire offseason can make many fans forget how bad Edwards played once the opposing defenses had film on him. Dead issue? Hardly.

If Edwards doesn't learn how to burn defenses, this issue WILL come back to the forefront. If Losman was so awful and Edwards was so great, why were their stats nearly identical last year? You guys crack me up.

you are comparing a rookie(9games) to a forth year qb(30-something starts). Thats whats funny. This is about 2008 and beyond. Losman had his shot. I'll take a guy with something between his ears anyday. Compare their games against Miami.

Compare Losmans first season (after soaking it in for 18months)2005-to TE in 07.

I watched edwards outplay Manning in Dec. If not for Lee Evans drop that might be a diff. game.

Both were screwed by coaching, supporting cast, d, etc.

Just as the NFL gets a book on how to stop any player/coach-(a flyer in s fairchilds case) Give TE an offseason to improve. We'll see.

  9. As you can tell by my number of posts I don't contribute alot to this forum but I do read it everyday. After reading endless discussions and arguements about JP vs. Trent, I'd like to offer you all my views on this subject after which you can either agree or "tear me a new one" LOL.

Trent Edwards- What we know for sure is he received a ringing endorsement from the late Bill Walsh. That's a bold statement! I watched an NFL Films show just today on Bill Walsh and the hand he had in drafting Joe Montana when all the other teams in the league weren't even considering him until at least the sixth round. I'm pretty sure that Walsh is a much better talent evaluator than any of us. The kid did look great for a rookie, we all know he has a quick release and he's obviously very smart and can process info quickly. Remember what Flutie said, "the QB position isn't about size, its about decision-making" I think Edwards' upside is tremendous especially after seeing that he came to OTA's with added muscle. This tells me that he figured out his own shortcomings ie: smaller frame which led to injuries and not having the rep as a deep ball passing threat. I can foresee a very bright future for this kid IF he can progress the same way we've seen him do so far.

JP Losman- What we know for sure is he is probably the most accurate deep ball passer we've seen since the days of Jimbo. That too is a bold statement! I don't feel that JP is nearly as smart a QB as most of the greats, but what hurts him the most is he doesn't appear to be mentally as tough as he needs to be in order to be successful. Every press conference I've ever seen him in he appears like he is always trying to convince you that he knows what he is talking about but that he himself doesn't believe the words. Don't get me wrong, I like this guy and I believe his greatest successes in the NFL would come as a very good backup. After all, what's wrong with being a Frank Reich, We all love that guy for what he did for the organization, don't we? I do have to take issue with some of you who state that JP regresssed in 07, I think it was the offence that regressed under Steve Fairchild in 07 and should Trent go down with an injury this year, I think a few of you might be surprised at how well JPL might look in another system under another co-ordinator, one who actually played the position of quarterback!

    Go Bills!

this is a dead issue. Trent edwards is the better qb. Its not a debate. the coaches know, the players know, and anyone with a brain at camp can see it. Edwards has come back bigger, stronger and better. He looks much more confident and no longer has that awe-shucks bs. I feel for Losman but hey he had his shot and if he could play he would have found a way in these last 4-plus years.

  10. I have to say it was a great experience and there was a sense of confidence in the players and that makes me feel confident in the us this season. I was so ecstatic when i got autographs from Donte Whitner,Roscoe,Marcus Stroud,Spencer Johnson,Hardy,Lynch,Edwards,Jackson,Jenkins,Jonathan Evans,Gibran who is a really really nice guy,Robert Royal,Steve Johnson, and Alvin Bowen.I am planning on attending one more day of camp this summer because i had such a great time but does anyone have any reccomendations on dates where they may be good oppurtunities for more autographs?

    GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hey man i got there fri about 45mins before 2nd practice. All the players were walking in to get taped up. They walk right past the bus stop. My kids chatted up roscoe. I also have a deranged friend that hugged

trent edwards. A ton of players passed by and slapped up five's. I don't know if they were diggin autographs, but get there early and see what happens.

BTW everyone of them said wassup-not one jerk among em

  11. I can't billeve after a hard day at work i come home to my one saving grace........... and find no talk of the russ brandon interview.

You gotta give Rochester credit for giving our bills at shot at staying in WNY.

He is playin tuff with da Peters camp.

He is also clearly begging to go half-way(even peeing a little bit whilst offering more $)

He seems kinda like some love-child cooked up Donaholes last day and Marvs first.

    buffalo 08 (july 24 11:04 pm)............10-6!!

  12. Except if he pulls a Peters and goes to the Pro Bowl and wants more money.

I wonder why teams can't create contracts with players that has some kinda 're-structure' clause.

A high-priced player contract can have built-in yearly bonuses(received even if cut).

Yet teams can't make certain players lock themselves into thier own contract(exp=j.peters). WTF.

    Pardon the booze
