I can hear the conversation "well, yeah, he's injured and likely wont play again this season. Yeah, he gets injured a lot, but he's REALLY GOOD when he's in!"

I was shocked something so reasonable and logical did not happen. I feel Bean's decisions this year have been some his worst. Which is concerning.
the money he burns on fragile FA guys with low catch rates is going to be his epitaph

Our only alternative was to match or beat New England's offer of not only money, but a starting role. Hollins was never supposed to have as big of a role as he did for us. As much as he's loved, people overestimate what he did for us last season. He was a sub 400 yard guy for us last season. You don't want to start Mack Hollins - you want to do better than that.
On paper and in terms of skill, Joshua Palmer is a better WR than Hollins. As much of a disappointment as he's seemed (especially with the injury now) - he still has 234 yards in under 6 games vs. Mack's 378 for 17 games.
I’d take Hollis back rn. He’d be WR2

Bills wide receiver room is not going to cut it
Shakir, Coleman, Palmer and Samuel as your top 4 is simply not good enough. That might be bottom 5 in the league. I’m not sure how anyone could go into this season thinking we’re going to compete for a Super Bowl with that kind of talent. Change my mind.

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. This is the EXACT SAME THING everyone said about our WR room last year and the offense had the best season in Bills history.
I think it's time we accept that Josh Allendoesn't need elite WRs to produce.

Yes and leaving the TE/RBs out of the passing game conversation is missing the point of the scheme. That said I think we still need one more WR, just doesn't need to be a superstar.

Couldn’t throw down field at all against KC. Hit Hollins what twice? They need a speed guy to stretch the secondary
Hollins was the one guy who showed against KC and we let him walk.

That's on the coach. He should have been pulled from that game

I screwed up during our two-game losing streak. One week I neglected to make wings, breaking a 10-year tradition. The other week, I got confused about the start time and missed the first few minutes of the game - a clear offense against the Gridiron Gods.
I didn't do anything special this week but I did do the requisite rituals: made wings, dressed in my Bills gear, and was comfortably seated on my couch in time for kickoff.
Sometimes a return to mastering the basics is just what the doctor ordered

being dogs at home should provide a little extra motivation. here's hoping Josh gets what he needs this week to be his usual self against KC. Hairstons arrival is not a minute too early.

wore my old #34 jersey last couple games, put #17 on yesterday. Sorry Thurman, you cost us 2 games you can ride the pine for a while

Huge bummer. Fan of him since seeing him in a bowl game last year, and was doing great on my fantasy team. Hoping he can recover!

though in being measured - he may allow catches or make mistakes still. Young guys aren’t always linear improvementI'm fine with that. He's got the tools.

I’ll eat my hat here, not only did I think and say and post repeatedly that I didn’t think we’d see him on the field this year, but he blew me away with his first appearance. He’s going to get better every week. This is a big deal.

I’ve followed these boards for a long time but hardly ever post. However, at this time I just feel a push to give my opinion on a controversial subject – who plays on the D, and can it develop into a championship unit. I feel that we potentially have a very strong defense. If all goes well (a major hope on my part) I believe that we could have a defense, coupled with a strong offense, to carry us a long way in the playoffs.
This is what I’d like to see within, more or less, the following 3 or 4 weeks.
Defensive ends
Starters …Joey Bosa – Greg Rousseau; Backups...A. J. Epenesa – Michael Hoecht
Defensive tackles
Starters…Ed Oliver – Deone Walker; Backups...DaQuan Jones – Larry Ogunjobi
Linebackers
Starters...Terrel Bernard –Matt Milano; Backups...Dorian Wiiliams – Shaq Thompson
Slot
Starter…Tyron Johnson – Backup - Cam Lewis
Corners
Starters…Maxwell Hairston – Christian Benford…Backups...Tre White - Cam Lewis
Safeties
Starters…Cole Bishop – Jordan Hancock… Backups...Jordan Poyer – Taylor Rapp
Yeah on paper they look like a middle of the pack defense.

While I still cannot understand how anyone is anguishing more over the defense than the current offense (who has struggled more recently imho despite a strong OL and a future HOF QB)...I do agree that the Panthers actually present a specifically challenging matchup for the Bills. They are very physical and aggressive defensively, with heavy run and pass games up front (possibly something you can exploit on the ground and in the screen game) and man coverage on the boundaries. Not unlike the Patriots, but with a much better rushing attack on offense. Not an ideal opponent for the current iteration of the Bills.
this is the problem. There doesn't seem to be a team in the NFL that the Bills are very obviously better than - parity for sure, but it's almost like the way the Bills are built, that if the other team does one thing well (run, stop the run, pass rush, special teams, whatever) then it turns out thats the achillies heel of the Bills. I'd love to regain confidence in superman josh bc at this point he's the differentiator if he's tuned in

I’m going to find a way to place a bet that there will be a penalty on the Bills within the first five plays on offense or defense….whichever unit is out there first.

I'm 54 years old and I've lived through all the failures of both the Bills and the Knicks, so I’m very experienced in this. What I see is a strong similarity between the two franchises, especially in recent years.
The Bills, after the arrival of McD and especially Josh Allen, have become more and more of a contender year after year — but for a variety of reasons, they’ve never reached the final goal.
The Knicks have followed a similar path: after years of embarrassment, coach Thibs and Brunson arrived, and now the Knicks have become a respectable team — but again, without ever achieving the ultimate goal.
Differences between the Bills and the Knicks?
The Knicks decided to try and make a change, moving from Thibs to Brown. Will it work? Will it help? No one can say for sure, but there’s definitely more excitement now. With Thibs, it had become really boring — always the same game plan, and in the end, no ring, not even a Finals appearance.I wish the Bills would have the courage to make a change too… but I doubt it will happen before next year.
Funny, i had the same thought except Ewing era knicks. One superstar, some fun supporting cast like Anthony Mason, then a bunch of JAGs that ever could get it done

Threatened him? Physically? A suspension should be the least of Greenlaw's problems, he should be hearing from the police.

This is obviously what beane is going to do. Can't hurt I guess but low probability that it will help either

No matter who plays quarterback, if we can’t beat the Panthers after losing two straight and coming off a bye? Might as well crown the Patriots as AFCE champs and get ready to head back to the days of getting excited if we make the “In the hunt” graphic
Can we put the punter whoever that is on the media guide like back then? Now THATS complimentary football!

The team is objectively worse than last year, and I just don't know that we have the coaching staff to make waves in the playoffs which swype corrected to "okayoffs" for some reason but feels perfect

Olave or Waddle...anything else is just repeating previous mistakes. And it still chaps my ass to think all Beane would've had to give Seattle is a 2nd round pick for DK....let that sink in when you're thinking about TJ Sanders.
Telling you, getting our 5th slot guy is what’s missing

We could do worse than Gabe Davis. Like we are at the moment.
Beane is just refusing to do it on principle because he's convinced his decision making is flawless. And if you dont believe it, just ask him
