ink I agree with you that if Roscoe Parrish gets hurt, the defense would not suffer.
But I think you need to get your best players on the field and not be scared of them getting hurt those extra five-ten plays a game.
Also, if you look at the stats, Clements fumbles one of every 10 returns, Roscoe one of every 4.

It seems to me that McGee is trying a bit too hard to juke back there - he's trying to make returns like that one against the Pats last year where he almost scored - instead of just streaking down the field like he has successfully done other times.
Roscoe - I've never been too impressed with. Does anyone think Clements should be back there?

Marv has shown the capacity to let linebackers go once they've gotten past their prime.
All went on to have a few years at another club:
Cornelius Bennett was released in 1995 in his ninth season with the club, while Marv Levy was still coach. He was 30.
Shane Conlan left after his sixth season with the club, in 1992. He was 28.
Darryl Talley left after his 12th season with the club, in 1994. He was 34 when he left.
Three pro bowl linebackers, 6, 9, and 12 seasons with the bills.
This could be a darryl talley scenario, where they hang on to Fletcher for a couple more years.
But my guess is that this is more of a Shane Conlan/Cornelius Bennett scenario.
If we get a hometown discount from Fletcher, he may stay. But with the renewed focus on youth and speed in this D, my money is on him heading for greener pastures at the end of the year.

Does anyone else wonder why the hell the Bills are simultaneously badmouthing Willis AND shopping him for a trade? Doesn't it make sense to keep your mouth shut about the guy until he's gone?
