Justice! And a second rounder. Make the deal.

If a trade with PHI was to happen, here's how I see it :
Going along with the scenario that we trade with Chicago (26 (700) for 42+73 (705))... I don't feel good about not having a 2nd round pick... so, here is another scenario involving PHI :
BUF gets : 14 (1100) + 45 (450) = 1550
PHI gets : 8 (1400) + 105 (84) + 134 (39) = 1523
At this point BUF has : 14, 26, 45, 70
@14: Eric Winston, OT
@26: Davin Joseph, OG
@45: John McCargo, DT
@70: Rod Wright, DT
That way, we adress the lines on day 1, and look for sleepers on day 2 with picks 143, 178, 216, 248.
I like this scenerio but with Justice @ 14. I think he is better than D'Brick.
-
As much as I like D'Brick I'd be happier if we trade down and get exta picks. The more picks we get the better the chances are to get lucky.
-
For me its very close but I'd have to say the draft.
-
-
He does know how to catch interceptions so maybe he will be good with favre. they should play him at wideout.
-
Bills should Draft all the o-lineman they can in this draft to make the line solid for NEXT YEAR.
They should then lose all there games this year to secure the first overall pick in the draft and select.......Brady Quinn.
Seriously though what are the chances we will be that bad? Would LOVE to see us get this kid.
BTW I never hope for a loss but this would be a great booby prize.

Looks like cowboys are interested as well. Could we be a trade partner here?
Cowboys | Team might consider moving up to draft M. Huff
Fri, 14 Apr 2006 18:02:23 -0700
Adam Schefter, of the NFL Network, reports the Dallas Cowboys might consider moving up in the NFL Draft to select Texas CB/S Michael Huff. The Cowboys are scheduled to pick 18th in the first round, and Huff is expected to be long gone by then. To get Huff, the Cowboys would have to trade up, possibly ahead of Detroit at No. 9, certainly ahead of St. Louis at No. 11.

I think we will get a first round pick. I think em will put up career numbers next year.
-
I think these two signings would mean we wouldnt trade down. I can see use trading down to pick up a couple linemen. if we address the line if free agency I think we stay put and get the best player available that is not a quarterback.
-
Cutler and jp are the same quarteback
-
They might be smart if they really just wnted to get rid of him and get something for him.
They say the realy wanted him but dont you think they knew about the posibility of a first round pick if they offered him a little more?

I may eat some crow, I will be happy to. I hope Roscoe turns out to be near as good in the NFL as he was at Miami. But where/when, since joing the Bills did you see this "explosiveness" by Roscoe Parrish? Did he have "explosive diaharria" or something? To say he is one of the most explosive players in the leauge (if not THE most!!!) is a mighty big claim...you want me to save you some crow, just in case?
Yeah I'll go in halves with you
-
I think a lot of people are going to eat some crow because of roscoe.
I agree he might have been a luxury pick but he is one of if not THE most explosive players in the league
Look at the trend towards small quick recievers like steve smith. They are impossible to cover underneath if you can strech the field with someone like evans or davis

Jim Kelly was not Marv's "own guy," remember that? Marv inherited him, as Jimbo finally came to play after a couple USFL years. Then, it was a couple more years before the team made the playoffs. But let's forget all that because Losman wasn't great after 8 games. Let's not bother to try for greatness. Let's just get good enough to go exactly nowhere, 1 or 2 first-round playoff exits if we're lucky.
I like jp but what do I know. I dont think marv has to have his own guy in there but im sure he has to think the guy is good or will be good. Im not sure jp=jk.

Wouldn't that be around 3 first round picks spent in about 4 years to try and get a decent QB?
Enough already, lets build a dominant offensive line and I'll bet that suddenly whatever idiot we have back there ends up all pro. How else do you think Del Homme, Gannon, Dilfer, Collins, etc, ever ended up in a Super Bowl?
I think It all depends on if marv wants his own guy in there

I'd like to see us take leinart and than trade for denvers first round picks and stock the o-line. Do you really think Leinart will still be there?

Saints | Brees' signing would not discourage Leinart from coming
Wed, 15 Mar 2006 12:42:44 -0800
Jimmy Smith, of the New Orleans Times-Picayune, reports Southern California QB Matt Leinart's agent, Leigh Steinberg, said the New Orleans Saints' signing of QB Drew Brees will not deter his client from coming to New Orleans if the team selects him with the No. 2 pick in the NFL Draft. "From Matt's perspective, we have always assumed there would be a veteran starter with any franchise that drafted him," Steinberg said, "and (assumed) he would not be the immediate starter, wherever he would go, and spending some time learning has proven to be advantageous for a number of the best quarterbacks in football."
Just think brees could play well and get cut again in a couple years.

Broncos | Team shopping two first-round picks
Wed, 15 Mar 2006 08:23:37 -0800
Jeff Legwold, of the Rocky Mountain News, reports the Denver Broncos are shopping their two first-round picks in the 2006 NFL Draft in exchange for early picks in the 2007 NFL Draft. The team does not have much cap space left after paying out several up-front signing bonuses.

I'd love to have Hawk. He would also be a beast on special teams.
-
I think taking a linebacker early this year is a mistake. Although Hawk looks to be great(and a cool name for a linebacker), there is alot of depth at that position both in the draft and free agency. whoever gets drafted at #8 is going to get big money and I would rather save money at linebacker and address the lines.Move up to get Williams ar Ferguson or trade down-just my feelings.
If we pick up either picket or bernard and draft hawk I think that would be the biggest impact we could make on this team.

Sounds like everyone misses td
I'll take a new approach
If Leinart slides to #8, is anyone tempted?
