  1. He's not as good a vinny intercepteverde, not even close
  2. I wonder if it's one or those bogus extension deals like Mcnabb did with skins where on the surface it looks like commitment but closer inspection reveals it was all window dressing because the team has many options to get out of it.
  3. Funny, Cleveland said they were offering same package and were informed rams were trading with Skins instead. Why would rams go with skins when the same offer from browns would have gotten them 2 spots higher in Rd 1 and 2 this year?
  4. I wonder if the ants are po'd because he owes them money too? He "is currently an assistant coach for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants in the NBDL ...."
  5. ESPN says one #2 (this years) http://m.espn.go.com/nfl/story?storyId=7668243 Sweet trade for rams. They'll get a top WR at #6 overall and add 38th overall pick this year. The 13' and 14' # 1's from Skins they can either sit on or trade for something of value now too. WOW
  6. The data is pretty clear: Manning is less accurate outdoors, with a lower average per attempt, lower TD rate, higher INT rate and lower passer rating outdoors. More importantly, he wins just 60 percent of his games outdoors .... Read more: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2012/writers/kerry_byrne/03/07/peyton.manning/index.html#ixzz1ogHzFSN2
  7. Why? Outdoor stadium with bad weather. Can massive QB egos of elway and manning exist in the same organization? They already have a QB who took them much further than they were projected.
  8. Saints! Why not take a 36 yr old manning to 33 year old brees for less than half the price? Dome team with great WR corp, louisiana his home state, contendet, Brees is holding out for money that would make it impossible to fill out a strong roster ... This makes sense.
  9. If there are 12 how can bills not be one of them?
  10. I always thought 5 9 175 was quite generous. I'm guessing more like 5 7 147
  11. With all his whining and crying at the podium I wouldn't want him. It's clear his heart will always be in Indy. I want someone on my team totally in the present and committed to my team. I can see Payton doing one of these forgettable 1 or 2 year token pre-retirement stops before resigning for a day and retiring a colt. Like emmitt smith re: cards and cowboys.
  12. Why isnt anyone talking about cleveland? Holgram loves experienced QBs and they need one. Doesn't seem like colt solidified "franchise" status.
  13. Favre said he thinks his ankle was broken on that play. Like I said earlier probably anyone else comes out. In another instance coach dungy concludes the same type of high-low hit from a Greg defense lea to manning's career threatening neck injury. But you're right neither shows up as the "knock out" stat you're artificially basing everything on. Sounds like you need to see stretchers and body bags before you believe intent matters. Funny though the man you keep defending obviously thought it mattered, or he wouldn't have (literally) bought into all those years.
  14. You keep saying "no evidence of illegal hits" when I pointed out the league acknowledged they blew it on non-calls after saints defense brutalized favre in the NFC championship game. Illegal hits and an injured opponent. Again what more do you want? Should we not enforce DUI in your town until multiple vehicular homicides are committed by drunks?
  15. One way or the other I think this is the end of him. Even If he comes back how's he going to lead the defense? He'll have no credibility and be completely neutered. Always thought he was an ass anyway. And way over rated. 9ers were shocked he kept calling blitz in the red zone leaving their pro bowl TE in man. Get lost, corrupt jerk.
  16. Favre and manning were both hurt. In favres case the league admitted the shots were personal fouls. If it were anyone but favre and any game but the conference championship or super bowl odds are he would have come out. Guy was a limping bloody mess. And at least dungy believes the hit To manning was illegal and lead to manning's career threatening neck injury. What more do you want? A Darryl stingley incident, complete parallysis to meet your standard?
  17. Yes I think it's ok to test a guy with an injury to see if he can play. If he can't it's the opponents responsibility to get him off the field. I think it's crossing the line when a bounty is put on someones head to have them carted off the field. I believe the league rules are consistent with this view
  18. The hits on favre in the NFC championship game were "grossly dirty". Even the league admitted the officials blew it. Sound a lot like the high-low hit dungy says williams redskins laid on manning
  19. Idk who said "end of the world" but paying cash bonuses for injuring opponents seems awfully serious to me. To me The problem increases in nature a) the more common it is amongst players and b) the more support it has from team officials. Your posts indicate you feel the problem is less serious the more common.
  20. Sure why not? Is your theory on crime that it's somehow less criminal the more often it's broken?
  21. Unfortunately they're telegraphing they will take best pass rusher available who could be very well be a huge reach and another fail
  22. Read it on nfl.com, don't know how to link their stories from an app. But when you get a former head coach who's now part of the media, spotlighting an incident and career-threatening injury to perhaps the highest profile player, that's really going to add more fuel to the fire.
  23. Dungy asserts it was a Gregg Williams money hit on manning that started his neck problems. Yikes.
