  1. I just saw the Harmon forecast here:

    http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/features/harmon_forecast

Read the underlined sentences. These were right after eachother. Which fact is right. He's obviously wrong about one. Another writer who talks out of his @ss and has the gaul to have a :forecast" named after him. <_<

*Buffalo 28 Houston 17 -- The Bills possess one of the league's stingiest defenses, which should be enough to slow down the Texans, a team that continues to slowly mature on offense. Buffalo was strong against the run and the pass, and forced a conference-best 39 turnovers last season. RB Willis MaGahee's ability to move the chains will be the difference against Houston.

New Orleans 18, *Carolina 14 -- Carolina has established itself as a team that makes big plays on defense. The Panthers led the NFL with 38 takeaways, but New Orleans is equal to the task defensively with a league-leading 20 fumble recoveries in 2004. Both teams are strong against the pass, which could result in an emphasis on the run, which favors the Saints.

  2. I just visited the Texans website for their game notes against the Bills. They have it that McGahee was the 2004 NFL Comeback Player of the Year. I thought that award went to Brees. Maybe next time they meet, it will say 2005 NFL Offensive MVP and Super Bowl MVP! Hopefully! Stupid Texans! <_<

  3. Here I am, all set up with my HD connections, wide screen LCD, and it looks as if the only early season game to come in high def will be the Falcons game - which will be shown locally here in Atlanta, meaning NO HIGH DEF THROUGH MY SUNDAY TICKET.  Ughhhh!

The only chance I have of seeing it in HD is to get an antenna that MIGHT pick it up.

With the huge sums of money generated through the NFL and the network broadcasts, it's hard to understand why they don't have the technology in place to transmit every friggin game in HD.

There is a solution but it will cost you an extra $50.

Directv has the SUperfan package for $50 more. You get all the games in HD and a channel that shows 8 games on one screen. You also get a channel that will play all the plays from each game in 30 mins per game. It may be worth it with the HD available for you.

  4. We have to give Losman a shot. Losman brings a lot to the table with his mobility. He did make some nice timing passes in the final game and shows promise. Big deal about the two ints. I'm actually glad. He got them out of the way in a meaningless game. I wish he was sacked 20 times too. So he could feel what its like to be humiliated and never want to feel that way again. Reality set in for him. He's a work in progress.

I believe the coaches are smart enough to know what to do. They are not going into this weeks game calling 95% passing plays. Any moron can figure that out. We will run the ball like maniacs. Throw some playaction passes in and we should have a good day.

It's unbelievable that people are discounting Losman and the season did not even begin. He has a clean slate right now. We have a great running back. We can run the football. Let's see how it goes. I believe Losman is an upgrade from Bledsoe because of his mobility.

Let's stop calling for Holcomb. He's not our starter and hopefully won't have to be.

  5. I was wondering if there are Marshalls stores, TJ Maxx, or Winners in Buffalo. They are discount clothing stores that sell designer clothes. I live in NJ and they are everywhere. When I was in Montreal, I saw the same Marshalls type store under the name Winners. I am asking because I always find Jets and Giants Jerseys there, because of where I live of course, and they are only $29.99. They have Shockey, Manning, Pennington, Martin, Abraham, and some others. I was wondering if you guys have them by you and also find Bills Jerseys there?

Once in a while I see other teams there. I was estatic when I saw that they carry youth McGahee jerseys for $24.99. I tried to fit into a youth XL. I looked like 10 lbs of chit in a 5lb bag. Oh well.

  6. After last nights performance, It is safe to say this is an MVP year for Bledsoe. I am certain, based on a wonderful PRESEASON game last night. I also predict Lawerence Phillips will give him a run for his money when he returns to action. It will be a tight MVP race but a very exciting one! <_<

  7. I too was at the last practice and wanted to answer the question of what type of cast it was on his arm. I threw an acorn at the cast and judging by the bounce of the acron off of it, I would say it was a soft cast. I have to run some more numbers and calculate wind speed and I'll get back to all of you. <_<

  8. I have lived on the Jersey Shore for my whole life. About 10 - 15 years ago, the state paid millions of dollars for huge barges to pump more sand on the shoreline. After this process was complete, the beaches were huge. Well, each year the storms get stronger and more plentiful. THe beaches are back to being erroded messes.

It is scary how the development of the waterfront is so rapid and yet the shoreline is decreasing just as fast. I think no matter where you live, if you haven't had weather problems in the past, don't hold your breath.

Mother Nature is unpredicatable. 2 summers ago we had a thunderstorm swipe through my area (long branch). Well it was so severe twisters actually formed and spun and ripped trees out of the ground. Monmouth University, the college next to my house, lost something like 100 trees. Power was out for a good week and a half. It was unbelievable. It made local news and thats about it. You would never think twisters would strike down on the Jersey shore.

It is devastating what happened in the south. I really hope that it gets better for those poor people and they can get back to their normal lives as quickly as possible.

  9. I have it Tivoed and watched the first hour.  It didn't seem to grab me.  Too many suspend disbelief moments for my taste.  I'll watch the rest of it tonight and see if it can grab my attention.

You didn't think the aspect of the oragami was great?

  10. I was pretty cool. It was about a guy who purposely gets arrested to go to jail. He's there to break his brother out because his brother was framed. He did his homework and actually designed the prison that hes at. It looks like its going to be great. The premier was 2 hours long and very good.

  11. It sucks that the Bills are again on that commercial. I live in NJ and my fiance said she saw it 3 times in one day on TV. Watching Sportscenter and Abraham signed a contract with the Jets. The JEts played 16 games last year, 2 against the Bills. Of course, once again, the higlights shown of Abraham were againt the Bills.
