  1. This one might actually be on me. I was notified on Thursday that my Uncle had passed away. He was from Mass living in NY and a huge fan of the Boston sports teams. Calling hours were on Saturday with "private services at the families convenience" Well the wife and I went to the calling hours to find out services were to be Sunday at noon. Of course we went (he was a great man and a great uncle) about a half hour into the trip my wife looks at me and says "I can't believe we're going to miss the game" and I say really? that's what you're thinking about right now?

I had a plan though.. My Aunt lives 5 minutes from the church and lunch was at her house after services. My cousins, one of my other uncles and I had a Genny Cream in the parking lot of the church in honor of my uncle then off we went to my aunts house for gathering and lunch. On goes the T.V. and the game is on. We were only loosely paying attention as we shared funny stories and I was mingling with my cousins childhood friends and the rest of my family. Boom Bills up 7 zip. I continued to visit thinking "that was quick, we have a chance" After a while my 92 year old grandpa called me into the living room and he says your "Billy's" are in trouble. Things were winding down at that point and we were hitting the road as the Bills were trying to mount the comeback. I had the game on the radio in the car. Got about 10 minutes from home and stopped at the store for beverages and dinner stuff's. Came back to the car and it was over.

I felt terrible because I wasn't able to be there for my Bills family but I needed to be there for my family. So in a nutshell it was my fault and I hope you forgive me.

RIP Uncle Al. You got me! Prayers Up.

    GO BILLS!

  2. My wife and I were at a game several years ago and we saw Mr. Wilson riding through the concourse on a golf cart. He was smiling and appeared to be happy to be there and no where else. When he passed we said hi Mr. Wilson and got a bit of a smirk and a nod. My wife and I have been Bills fans for our entire lives and that was one of our fondest memories of going to a game together. We too have felt the loss and are mourning for a man we never really met but had an interaction with. It's a sad time for the Wilson family, Western New York and Bills fans everywhere. Some will say we lined Mr. Wilson's pockets and the organization should thank us. This may be true to a certain extent but I think we can all agree that Mr. Wilson keeping OUR Bills in Buffalo and accessible to all of the hard working, blue collar and white collar folks that love, sometimes hate and commiserate with them is nothing short of a great gift from a man that loved, respected and only wanted the best for the game, the region and the fans. There's a reason we're all fans of this team. Some born into it, some grabbed on during the good times and many who have seen it through the bad. Of all the Bills fans I've had the pleasure to meet it would seem we all love our Bills, we all have a great deal of pride in our team and will defend them right or wrong, good, bad or indifferent they are our team and we have Mr. Wilson to thank for that.

    RIP Mr. Wilson

    Prayers for Jim Kelly

    GO BILLS!

  3. Thats roughly 8000lbs pulling a 40,000lb (empty) or 80,000lb+ (loaded) semi out of a ditch. Traction, torque and center of gravity at work there. I would take the 4 horses over a 400hp truck in that situation. They can use the torque they produce much more efficiently and put said torque to the ground through traction by shifting body weight. A 400hp 4x4 truck in that situation would end up just spinning its wheels until it was able to get traction. By then the horses have won. Horsepower is the speed at which torque is applied. Great for drag racing but in real world applications its the torque that does the work.

  4. I have been a season ticket holder for many years. So blackouts don't affect me anymore.

However, back when I was in my early and mid twenties they definitely impacted whether or not I went to the game. When the game was going to be blacked out, we would round up a group of guys and go to the game.

Without a doubt, for some demographics, it affects attendance.

And one reason why the NFL won't give up the blackouts and shouldn't give up the blackouts is because that ticket money helps finance those big stadiums. I don't think the blackout should reach as far as it does though. I don't think it is fair to block out anyone who lives the other side of Rochester. Expecting them to drive more than one hour for to go to a game is too much to ask in my opinion. Out of town fans should always get to see the game.

I totally agree with this. I live about 4 hrs from Buffalo but because I'm in the Syracuse market the game is blacked out due to some half mile sliver that reaches into the radius of the blackout and I don't get the Binghamton or Elmira feeds anymore on Time Warner. As a treat we try to go to a couple games per season. We usually have to take the next day off as by the time we get out of the lots, have dinner and get on the road it might be midnight or later before we get home weather dependent. If I lived an hour or two from the stadium I would be a season ticket holder and I would go to every game.

  5. our big boss, plant manager. Whatever he is, he is a douche. The last many holiday meals he will go in before everyone else as food is being set up and grab a plate. He will then eat it by himself and make sure to leave the area by the time any employees have even begun to make their plates. He is the epitome of a douche.

After reading that 2 things... I'm sorry and it just makes me appreciate my job a whole lot more. That guy is a grade A @sshat.

  6. I get a great afternoon with my co-workers eating good food and having a few drinks and a ton of laughs. The 7 of us including my director and manager are a pretty tight knit group and we enjoy our time together outside of the office. We also get to come to work everyday and are respected and thanked for our contributions and skills. That goes a long way with me anyway.

  7. Too slow? His 40 time is no representation about his ability to play QB. Jut like if he had a fast 40 time it wouldn't make him a sure thing. Ask Breese, Brady and both Mannings about if being fast makes you a great QB? Can he move in the pocket, escape pressure and buy more time? I care about those things more than how fast a QB can run in a straight line.

Too unathletic? How? Because he isn't fast?

Lacking arm strength? You couldn't be an more wrong. Nassib's arm strength should never be questioned.

So basically, you're just going to throw around baseless and completely false accusations about his game to come to some ridiculous conclusion about his potential?

Good Post. I think you're spot on. The games I have seen him play in which is most of them throughout his college career he has made many good plays with his feet. He won't burn you with his speed but he has instinct and that can't be coached. His arm strength is probably one of his best attributes and IMO he has many.

  8. Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Drew Breese, Eli Manning - no wheels and solid but not booming arms. Jay Cutler has a booming arm, but he hasnt won much of anything. Michael Vick, Donovan McNabb - wheels and strong arms but no superbowls. Granted, Nassib has not had the college career any of the afore mentioned had.

That said, I like EJ over Geno or Barkley.

Actually.. Nassib set many single season records during his time with the Orange.. The same school McNabb played for...

  9. I haven't seen him, have no idea whether he is any good as a receiver. But, in this short interview, he doesn't strike me as someone who couldn't handle pressure.

I agree.. But it may be a lot of added pressure on top of the pressure of trying to make an NFL squad.

  10. I've seen Luke play many times. He's pretty good and theres a spot for him on someone's roster in the NFL. He can make the tough catches and he's pretty fast. I agree he should probably look at teams other than the Bills. That would be a lot of pressure

  11. Not buying it. sorry. Should have kept Fitz then huh ? Ever watch nfl network in the morning ? I agree with them when they laugh and call Nassib Fitz 2 . A slower Fitz. Everybody says but Brady can`t move. Yeah but he`s Brady and 6-5. Nassib slow as hell at 6-2. We might as well draft Glennon ,faster than Nassib. Superior arm strength with deep ball touch and 6-7. Skinny just like Brady and Manning were.

Thats your opinion bud. And you are entitled to it. I much prefer to form my own opinion of a player rather than let the NFL network tell me what I should believe or any other media outlet for that matter. I've been a fan of the game and the Bills for many years and I have spent some time on the field. It doesn't make me an expert but I can form an opinion. Glennon may just be the next big thing or Nassib or Barkley etc ect... The point is no one has any idea how any of these college players will transition into the NFL. People can do extrordinary things when they're pushed beyond the limits of what they're comfortable with. They can also fail badly. Too much emphasis is placed on the QB IMHO. They are but one piece of the the puzzle. They can affect the outcome of a game as much as the defense can or special teams even.

  12. You are a homer BIGTIME. Cement feet? Nassib 5.09 forty slower than I think a dozen o-lineman at the combine. Shorter ..half inch taller than Nassib. Best deep ball touch of any QB in this draft . Play-fakes and pump fakes are superior to the hardly recruited Nassib . 1 sports reporter likes him as a top pick QB. One reporter wow. You are unreal. You want this DOME QB with NO DEEP BALL and boat anchors for feet. Guns the short passes ,to make some think he has arm strength. Watch his tape against Powerhouse RUTGERS. Watch him against temple and Pitt. These are lower level teams he struggled against. Yeah he`s NFL franchise material. That`s why he went to alosing team in Syracuse, because he was Not recruited by anyone else. Barkley crushed him and the cuse 11tds and 1 pick.

So yeah... Nassib was the reason Barkley scored 11 td's on Syracuse right? The same way Fitz and the Bills Offense consistently scored 20+ points a game but couldn't win. Granted Fitz made some bad decisions but blaming a QB for a team loss is like blaming your pencil for mis-spelled words. I like Barkley, I like Nassib more but throwing out statements that Barkley crushed Nassib is just not accurate. Maybe USC's Defense is 10 times better than SU's. Barkley beat the Syracuse Orange he didn't beat Nassib. He beat the defense and USC's Defense beat SU's Offense. Nassib was respectable in the 2012 game. 30/46 335 yds, 2 td, 2 int and 1 rushing td.

We all have our guy that we like. All of the QB prospects this year have issues. There's a 50/50 chance any one of them will work out and be something great.

  13. Take Nassib...At 8?? I can't believe anyone thinks that.

If this staff thinks he is a good fit for thier offense then yes take him at 8. If not take BPA. I am not against that either. If Marrone and Hacket think he can be thier guy and are sold on his deliverables then he goes to Buffalo at 8.
