  1. I have been back and forth on what the Bills should do with Willis. When the comments about Toronto first came out I was pissed and thought that the Bills should ship him out and get whatever they can in return. Then I thought about it this way. Most of us on this board think before we speak. Most times we know what should be said and when we should hold back our thoughts. Some NFL players (Willis being one of them) have no clue of this concept, and simply put, are morons when it comes to that. So they will be out at parties or different places and a media member will ask a question and rather than thinking it out they blurt out something stupid and need their agent to have them issue an apology or say that the comment was taken out of context.

With that being said I do believe Willis dreams of the big lights big city place to play. Afterall he is from the U. But I also think that he didnt mean anything by the stupid Toronto comments. Is he a moron.. yes, could he have a great season behind this beefed up line.. absolutely. Should we trade him for a third round pick... no way.

  2. While watching the sabres game last night Rob Ray was at his normal spot between the two benches and they showed Kelly and his wife Jill in the crowd. He went on to say that a recent charity event Ryan Miller donated 20 grand and Jim stood up and unexpectantly did the same thing. However it was so loud when Ray was talking that it hard to hear all the details. Did anyone catch this?

Again Jimbo gets all the bad publicity but he is still living here, attending local events and still donating his money to good causes.

  3. prediction from fftoolbox:

Finally, the main name to watch for the Bills could be Indianapolis' Jake Scott. The three-year veteran entered the offseason as a restricted free agent, but he didn't receive a tender offer from the Colts. That means Scott, a right guard, will hit the unrestricted free-agent market, where he'll no doubt be actively pursued. Scott has started in 32 consecutive regular-season contests for Indy, and he's one of the linemen chiefly responsible for keeping Peyton Manning upright. The 6-5, 295-pounder would be a vast improvement over Preston on the right side of the line.

If Levy could land both Dockery and Scott that would be a major success in the free agency offseason in my opinion. Look to lock up Willis on maybe a 4 year deal this offseason not next year when he can hit the market. Then in the draft address lb and cb.

  4. when a former all pro is cut with a year remaining on his contract you have to think there is more to the story that cost cutting by the Steelers. Maybe they know his best days have past and would rather spend the money elsewhere. Some team will sign him but I hope its not the Bills. We have a similar older linebacker who Marv and company are letting walk because they feel he has played his best games already and is not worth the money.

  5. Culpepper's knee injury may impair his mobility for good. Some athletes never fully recover from knee injuries.

Harrington's 0.0 QB rating at RW Stadium and similar stats against the Jets in Week 17 showed us what kind of a QB he is. Certainly not the QB of the future for the Fins.

Cleo Lemon didn't show enough to lead to the conclusion that he is franchise quarterback material.

Good points. Datye is a question mark and Harrington will be a career back up.

If he fell to them they would be crazy not to draft him. I think he will be a very good NFL QB for a long time. The Phins have alot of holes to fill but they can build around Quinn. I hope he is off the board before #9.

  6. Just wondering what everyone thinks about Peyton being awarded the MVP of the game. Was it by process of elimation. Addai had 10 catches to go along with 77 rushing yards. Rhodes had 113 and a touch. Im not sure what Peytons longest pass was but I know the majority were short dump offs because he was "taking what the defense gave him" as they say. He finished 25 of 38 for 247. Wayne and Harrison did nothing. Hayden the cb had 5 tackles and the pick for a touchdown.

Other than that there was nobody so I think either you have to do co-mvps with Addai and Rhodes or give it to Peyton which they did.

  7. His life is such a party that he busts his ass for countless of hours every week representing the 80 or so NFL clients he's an agent for.

I should have wrote that the image he projects is one big party. As far as him busting his ass for countless hours I wouldnt know but when I think of someone busting their ass I think of the guy working a double shift at the factory not a player agent throwing a superbowl party.

  8. ROSENHAUS PARTY WAS THE PLACE TO BE

Our spies in Miami tell us that the place to be on Saturday was the party hosted by Drew Rosenhaus at the former Versace Mansion.

It was so much the place to be that, apparently, the fire marshal shut the bash down.

But from what we hear it sounds like it was a helluva good time while it lasted.

    Pro Football Talk

His life is just one big party. I wonder what players were there with him, that sounds like an event that Willis wouldnt miss.

  9. Colts 27 Bears 13.

In the first 3 months of the season the Bears D only allowed more than 23 points twice also registering two shutouts. In December their final four games they allowed 27, 31 ,21 and 26 to four non playoff teams. I just cant see the Bears shutting down Manning and his weapons.

  10. Excellent points. The funny thing is that Reyes was probably the highest profile FA signing of all from last year.

For what it's worth, in Chris Brown's blog yesterday, he predicted that the Bills will let Gandy walk and go after Eric Steinbach in a major way. Also, don't get too excited about Briggs. Supposedly he and the Giants' Antonio Pierce are good friends -- and Pierce has been trying to woo him to come play for the Giants. Pierce told the press that he didn't think that the Giants would be able to afford Briggs... If the Giants can't afford him, where does that leave the Bills?

Is Steinbach the type of player Marve goes after? I thought he was arrested and charged with operating a boat under the influence. Not as serious as some of the other bengal arrests but still a crime. If you ask me a 6'6, 26 year old guard who has started evry game the past two seasons might be worth looking at.

  11. Who will coach that disfunctional team now? Im not a Parcells fan at all but the deck was stacked against him when TO arrived and started up with normal behavior. Hurt in training camp- riding the stationary bike with a helmet etc. The overdose sorry the alleged overdose. Who would want to step into that situation. Not to mention having an owner who gets involved in everything- start this person, bench this guy. You would have to be a fool to go there and coach.
