  1. Just got home from Topps Market in Depew. Bruce was there for an autograph signing. Bruce arrived in an Escalade stretch limo a little past 11 am. Most people including myself had already been waiting in line since 10:30. Im glad becuase they were turning people away at 11am. He finally sign by football around noon. He looked like he could still play!

  2. Crowell's career is done in Buffalo. The Bills made that very clear by placing him on the ir rather than let him rehab and come back in 4 or 5 weeks. Now we know where the Bills will look in the 1st round next year and see who they will team with Poz and Mitchel for 09.

Crowell cant be that dumb or can he? Why do you wait until a few days before the season to anounce that you are having surgery? He let down his teammates. I like how the Bills acted quickly and Im sure Crowell never would have thought things would have played out like this. This along with how the Bills are handling the Peters situation sends a very loud message that they are in charge- not the players.

  3. I found this out the hard way. I have had the Sunday ticket for the past three years and last summer got the HD/DVR package added. The first weeks of the Sunday ticket had games in HD which was awesome then in week three those staions were not available and the message on the screen said channel not purchased or something like that. Whwn I called I was told it was a promo and I would need to purchase the HD game pkg. My bill is high enough so I passed.

  4. so you would rather have had the Bills draft Sweed, who hurt his wrist before the season then hurt that same wrist causing him to miss most of the 07 season instead of a 6'7 wr who put up solid numbers for three straight years in college. Teams passed on Sweed for a reason, are souts wrong? Sure they are but two injuries to the same body part would worry me. Especially if that body part has something to do with catching the ball.

Im glad they dafted Hardy and when he is catchung jump balls in the corner of the endzone over smaller db's Im sure most fans will have forgotten about last week when some girl said he pulled a gun out on his convict father.

  5. I heard him speak twice. Once about 4 years ago at a Christian Athletes luncheon and two weeks ago at my wifes church in Williamsville NY. Both times it was worth the time to listen to him. One funny thing he said abou the holding the record for the greatest comeback in nfl history he added that many people didnt know that he also held the record for most interceptions. Not sure if he meant the Bills record for that season or what but it got a chuckle from everyone listening. He blends football and God into his speaches.

  6. Predict the first 5 receivers taken in the draft today and who they go to.

    19 Philly- Thomas

    20 Tbay- Jackson

    21 Wash- Sweed

    24 Tenn- Hardy

    28 Dall- Kelly

I feel if the Bills think they will get one of the top 5 in the 2nd round they will be disappointed becuase there will be a run in the late 1st.

  7. Here is my vote for switching to a 3-4 and drafting Rivers (if available at 11) in the 1st and best wideout in the 2nd. If Rivers is gone attempt to trade down with KC or Philly and take your wideout in the 1st and use the extra pick aquired in the trade to move up and get Connors in the early 2nd.

What will this do to our defense? By swithcing to a 3-4 it will allow Stroud to stay fresh because he can platoon with McCargo and Spencer at nose. Crowell and Mitchell can fly around as outside lb's and Connor and Poz can stuff the middle. That D certainly wont be run on.

When KC made that trade yesterday I immediatley thought of them as another trading partner. Now maybe KC nad Philly both want the 11 pick which only helkps the Bills.

  8. You can almost see a Thurman Thomas situation developing (if Kelly wasn't such a whiner).

If he can play at the next level, just think of the massive chip he'd be carrying for motivation each week.

    [/quot

Agreed. He would have a chip on his shoulder but as soon as he didnt get the ball thrown to him atleast 5 or 6 times per game I vould see him sulking on the sidelines and being a distraction rather than an asset to the team.
