  1. People need to relax. What exactly has been learned so far?

    1) CJ looks ready for a HUGE year

    2) Goodwin has speed to burn and is DANGEROUS

    3) Kiko Alonso looks SPECIAL

    4) Ron Brooks and the DB's playing to opposite Gilmore scare the **** out of me

    5) Left-side of OL looks suspect

    6) Hopkins has a heck of a leg, but consistency could cause him to get cut

    7) EJ looks like I suspected. Mix of solid plays and rookie mistakes. It'll be an up and down year as expected.

  2. Having a son that has autism I can understand the impact it has had on his attitude and approach. Believe me, this is a guy that sounds like when the going gets tough on the field, he'll dig in a little deeper knowing he and his family have faced much greater hardships off the gridiron. Thanks for posting!

  3.

I can play that "my experts bigger than your expert" game too. Heres one just a few weeks ago from Mike Ditka in support of Tebow....

“I think [Tebow] can play quarterback in the NFL, but whatever offense you run might have to be tweaked a bit. This kid is a talent and he proved it in college. He is an outstanding leader. Now, does he have an unusual throwing motion? Yes. But there a lot of quarterbacks that didn’t have a perfect throwing motion. Some of them turned out to be great quarterbacks because they were great leaders."

But the bottom line at the end of the day isn't about "opinions". Its about winning, something Tebow has done at every level.

Joe -the-6-pack ... You use Ditka as an expert? Isn't this the same man that traded his entire draft for Ricky "up in smoke" Williams? Solid talent evaluator

  4. When I was nine, I saw The Chuckster in "A Force of One" and thought he was cool. That's because I was nine. Since that time, I've thought his movies, TV show and feeble attempts in the political arena were pathetic. Chuck, please fade away with a shred of dignity left or you'll wind up on a stage talking to an empty chair. IMO, he and Tebow are cut from same cloth > they are both tools.

  5. The best by-product of "resting" the starters is increasing chances for a loss and a higher pick. The players know by now that Fitzy, while being an inspiring story and solid teammate, limits their chance for success. Everyone in that locker room knows a QB that can make the throws is needed, especially the offensive talent, and I fully expect them to figure out a way to lose this one. Resting the starters would only help to ensure that, though Chan may still believe he has a job he can save, so who knows. It'll be a challenge as McElroy seems really limited as a QB, but let's hope we can ante up and get that loss.

  6. So sorry about your father ... What a gifted artist. Those covers are such a treasure. I wish they would have brought back that character and those covers as part of the nostalgia wave of the past few years. Your father will be missed, but his contributions are surely appreciated.

  7. In a word ... NO! This isn't NYC and what plays there, doesn't here. We are better than that and surely, better than Buddy Jr. and Buddy Lite. Watch Big D and the "JETS" fall apart down the stretch. No ... we don't need to sell our souls for the Ryan twins.

    Flame away but consider this.

He brings fire and passion. Surround him with a strong offensive team and keep Wanny in place and I think that could change the soft culture that has been around 1 Bills Drive since Wade left.

Since this would be his first HC gig he might consider coming to a place such as Buffalo, but woudln't command a salary like Gruden, Billick or Cowher (guys who are older and wouldn't come anyways).

Enough with the "give Chan a chance" crap. The reason I am not sold on him or Edwards is that they are absolutely unable to adapt, in game or between games.

It has been the same story week in and week out. Change has to come or they risk not selling out November games on top of December games next year.

  8. One, twitter sucks so who gives a rat's ass ... two, stevie is the first receiver to get the better of Revis twice (especially yesterday). Yes, I want to see better concentration and critical catches, but I think with maturity they will come. You have cap room, so why create another hole to fill in the draft by letting him walk. So the Patriots can come a calling ... don't be stupid.

  9. Wow, Jimmy Spags you are really insightful ... some things are just really freaky (with it being near Halloween and all) ... like Maybin's emerging talent ... hmmm, next thing you'll tell me is that a respected NFL Head Coach has a wierd fetish ... like he is REALLY INTO FEET. Maybe, he dresses up in a leather boy scout uniform and paints women's toenails different colors or gets off sucking on his wife's toes. Maybe he even videotapes feet so when it is late and night and he is on the road, he can rub one out. Oh, wait ... where did I hear that before?

PS. JETS ... SUCK, SUCK, SUCK!
