when it's put that way i feel way less confident in this upcoming season lol

Hyde and Poyer at 80% are still head and shoulders above any other safety pair in the league. We've know what Davis is since mid season last year.  The Bills are going to be fine.

I was buying my wife a birthday card today and they were putting up the display of Hallmark's 2023 Christmas ornaments. Their NFL keepsake series will have Josh Allen this year! I really don't know much about Hallmark ornaments other than that some are collectible and thus sell out - I guess its a big deal when they are released on July 15.

Anyway, the Josh ornament looks pretty cool - if you don't want to run down to your local Hallmark store on July 15 it looks like you'll be able to order it online. I have no idea if/how fast such an item will sellout, but here's the link if you want to be ready July 15th...

They had Josh Allen last year.

Why don't they just put emergency phones throughout the place.

Like pick it up and it dials 911.

Or issue a single purpose emergency phone to each student at the start of day. Leave in each desk.

    Corrected. 😉😜😘

There is already fire alarms throughout every school. Put in pull alarms that go directly to police.

Your post brought a different topic to mind. A subject that isn't frequently discussed is McDermott's hiatus from calling plays and orchestrating a complete defensive game plan. Can we genuinely expect him to perform at the same level as Carolina, having left his craft untouched for almost ten years? We are going on 7 years since he last called a full game. Remember, some folks struggled to find the break room after returning to the office after two years of Covid-related absence. McDermott, on the other hand, hasn't exercised his aptitude for calling defensive plays for six long years.

He's a head coach. He still watches hours upon hours of tape and likely has evolved with the game.  Is not like he was sitting in a studio reacting to highlights.  He has had the final say in gameplanning since he got here. I think he'll be fine.

  5. I am still of the belief that Edmunds being gone will affect our pass defense because he was a big condor like MLB that made QBs throw over or around him due to his reach. I never liked him against the run as I noticed him side stepping those plays instead of taking the RB head on.

That being said, I've stuck with my off-season take that this team is still fine on both sides of the ball, is well coached, and will win the East again.

We are about to find out how good McD is. That's not a bad thing.

What is hard to explain is why did he allow Fraizer to run such a defense? It sounds like a McD defense is fairly different than Fraizer's.

I think a lot of it had to do with personnel. This might explain why there has been such a big emphasis on D-linemen the last few years.

I think McDermott is on the hot seat.

He’s not an elite HC.  He’s a good to very good coach.

He needs to get this team over the hump.  If he doesn’t do that within 2 years, depending on the circumstances (mainly injuries), he should probably be replaced.  He’ll then be hired immediately and turn around another franchise.  Why? Because he’s a good-very good HC.

I don’t put last years season on McD.  Not in the least. The injuries and circumstances of the season were too much to overcome last year.  I thought McD did a great job keeping things together until the Cinci game.  I do put the two previous KC playoffs losses directly in his head. He was slaughtered in the first matchup and made the biggest coaching blunder in team history in the second.  The Bills have also outplayed the chiefs in head to head games 2 of 3 games since then (13 seconds was bad.  I thought we deserved to win but we didn’t really outplay them).

that’s the reality. The guys mentioned in the post tell a lot of half truths.  They seem to rant a lot and don’t see both sides of what they say.  There is some truth to a lot of what they post but they’re blinded by their frustration and don’t look at the entire picture and refuse to think there are other ways to see this.

Here's the whole truth as i see it:

McDermott is safe as long as he keeps winning UNTIL the new stadium opens.

The Bills won't mess with the cash cow that's upon them by taking a chance prior to collecting the maximum PSL fees possible.

$150 doesn't seem like an indicator of the pricing and more "stop everyone from signing up regardless if they actually intend to buy tickets" and to keep the scalpers out. The tickets may end up being very costly, but I doubt this means anything about it.

The $150 per seat for the new stadium,  or the $250 for the current wait list is nothing more than an interest free loan to the Bills from the fans. They have been doing this for years. One of the benefits is that your season ticket seniority starts from when you make the deposit. Not when you actually get to buy tickets.

He made the playoffs because of one ridiculously unlikely play in Cincy's last game.

I love when someone uses this argument.

The Bills did what they had to in that last game against Miami. In a season where they were projected to be garbage. That season was a good coaching job.

Baltimore didn't finish against Cincy. Sucked to be them.
