1. yeah, commenting on a message board that some people think Jerry didn't give a good effort in some games and made some highly questionable calls is the stuff lawyers dream about.  <_<

If you have nothing to add then just lurk quietly please.

I have a lot to add...but I'll take a chill pill and come back next week after the smoke's cleared and some sanity's returned to TSW.

But I got to tell you, I don't appreciate you spreading unconfirmed rumors that could taint a person's career/reputation. You may think you're just "commenting on a message board," but this stuff about Grey takes on a life of its own once the genie's out of the bottle.

Who know's who's lurking here and where "source's say" material might end up next...

  2. Interesting. I somehow cant see JG purposely making bad calls. If that ever got out, it would be career suicide. Theres still enough of the old boys network in the NFL to prevent gray from getting a job for a long time. If he really did make bad calls, say hello to the new DC of your UB Bulls, because thats about as high a profle job hes gonna get.

Yep. That's a career killer and borders on libelous.

  3. Wrong.  Arizona is playing in a fabulous new stadium next year, while the Bills are playing in a 30 year old plus stadium.  No matter how many upgrades you do, it's still an old park.

And the Cards' attendance averages about 40,000 per game...the lowest in the NFL. Who cares about a new stadium where more people will probably be out in the halls walking around than sitting in the seats.

  4. Gray, who's interviewed with Houston, would be considered a strong candidate B-) should the Bills determine they want to maintain some continuity by hiring someone familiar with the team. Although the Bills defense struggled this season, finishing 29th in the NFL, the unit was slowed by injuries.

Gray told The AP he is unaware of Mularkey's resignation but would want to have a fair chance at being considered for the job.

"I've been here five years and I know the guys so I don't have to re-evaluate anything, we would just have to take off and run from there," Gray said. "You don't want to take steps backward, you want to take steps forward, and that's what Mr. Wilson has been doing."

Gray added he's been contacted by Lions president Matt Millen, but an interview has not yet been scheduled.

  5. By the way, why are so few on this board high on Kubiak? It puzzles me.

    564063

Because the chances of Kubiak ever coming to Buffalo / working for RW are about the same as the sun burning out and not coming up tomorrow....he hasn't held out for the perfect opportunity this long that he's gonna up and jump into the jello pit out at OBD now.

  6. I may be in the minority, but I'd be okay with Haslett as the new HC.  He has been saddled with an idiot for an owner(Benson) and was put in an unwinnable situation by having to play 16 road games this year.  I say give him a chance.

    563954

I know Haz wanted the job before MM was hired, but Benson wouldn't let him out of his contract. RW likes to reach back to guys from his past, so it looks like a pretty good possibility...

Jim will have to show me something to make me excited, however. I've been underwhelmed by his HC career to date.

  7. According to Adam Shefter of the NFL network ,the Bills would love to get Haslett .He said Haslett is sought after by the Lion`s and JETS ,so this would be Tough. As I stated before,it will be tough bringing in a good coach with the uncertain future of this team. With a87 yr old owner with numbered day`s and a family that doesn`t want ownership ,this will be tough..LET`sGO BUFFFFAAAALLLLOOOO

Haz would accept the HC job here, no doubt about it. The issue is, "is he the right guy."

    IMO, no.

  8. Think about it, Marv is a "rookie" GM.  If there is a strong coach out there with previous experience, and some front office skills this has got to be the perfect situation.  It can be side by side with Marv picking players, not just throwing a wish list over the wall.

Also, he will be in a stable position for at least 3 year, unless we go 2-14 for the next 2 years.

    563714

I hope you're right. But right now, anybody in their right mind would have to be standing back and watching the flames burn around OBD.

  9. The guy is well respected in the NFL, LONG overdue for a HC job, I definitely have a very positive image of him, worked with Levy before and loved by his players.  Could be worth a look and salvage this hilariously inept offseason so far.

    563667

I'd take him over Haz, but we'd need a very good OC...

  10. Bet you are wrong.  You may have been right with MM around, but not if we bring in someone with some talent.  The promise of a new season filled with new (competent) coaches, a high first round draft pick and 4 picks on day 1, along with some great camp reports will have the seats filling up again.

    563594

Even with so many "lows" for this franchise over the years, this current situation is starting to take on some startling aspects...

Competentcy and "Buffalo Bills" are becoming oxymoronic concepts.
