  1. By saying that she is inexperienced, it just puts the spotlight on the Messiah's inexperience. She is the VP candidate, not the Pres.

Republicans are already arguing that the experience/potential to be Prez in an emergency doesn't hold much weight because she's ONLY the VP.

They're also arguing that you lost out on Hillary, so here's your chance to vote for a woman in the White House.

But I thought she was ONLY the VP? Can't have it both ways...

  2. Here's why I'm concerned about Palin. If McCain is trying to win over the Hilltards (which he obviously is), that may backfire because Palin is a hunter and is pro-life. Not to mention the fact that the experience card is now completely off the table. It's done. McCain is 72 today...if something happens to him, Sarah Palin will be our president. Huh? I'd love to see her foreign policy record.

  3. Well it is May in Buffalo with no hockey playoffs. How many hours can you spend talking about who is going to be returning kicks next year?

I don't even listen to sports radio shows I like during the summer (eg Mike & Dog) because I don't like baseball. Can't imagine why you guys listen to shows you don't like.

"But...but...if we don't listen to WGR (thereby giving it the lofty ratings that keep it going), what could we possibly complain about all sumer?" -- Everyone on this board

  4. I don't know about the rest of you, but I got chills listening to that this morning. Artie's anger was very real and in the few seconds while there was nothing but crashing and scuffling and Robin screaming, it was frightening. For all we knew, Teddy could've been getting his face beaten in. In the past, Teddy had always come across as kind of a dopey d-bag, but hearing him practically crying afterward was upsetting. It's hard not to feel sad/disappointed in/confused about Artie too...I love the guy, I hope he's not done. I can't believe they won't at least suspend him though.

For those who stuck around, the interview with Jason Reitman was pretty good too, I thought.

  5. I've always wondered who picks the musical act. The host or the show. I would like to think the host gets to request a musical performer of their choice. It's weird sometimes the music act that they have matched up with the host.

Sometimes it seems like a perfect fit that you would have expected that host to like that band and then sometimes it's like they would have Ashley Judd on and the music act would be Leonard Nimoy.

Oh and sorry about all the spelling errors in my earlier post.

And sorry about making it seem like there could have been two shows that were the funniest all year.

    There could only be one.

I have a hunch that Annette Bening didn't pick Gwen Stefani featuring Akon as her musical guest on the December 9th show.

  6. Look. Let's not turn this into a bashing of the radio personality. It seems no one can come here and mention Stern without a bunch of idiots talking about what a worthless, moronic, one-trick-pony piece of crap he is.

It's simple, if you don't like him or don't like people talking about him, then just ignore them all, okay? But let's stop bashing Stern, the radio guy, because he's really, really fun in a monkey-smelling-the-finger-he-just-pulled-out-of-his-ass kind of way. He's hysterical. He's a genius. And if you bash him, you just don't understand how predictable you are.

I agree with all of the above, but I think the original post might've been referring to the Wack Pack.

  7. I'm not a fan but I heard some people talking about it.

So I guess it's really taken him a long time to get over his "true love" Anna Nicole's death. What a prick. I'm sure he's just putting the baby's needs first.

This is why pop culture shouldn't be reported. It's infuriating to hear what this !@#$s do.

I'm sure this is a joke. Either way, the original Howard Stern's head would explode if he ever read this thread.

This should help clear things up...Shock jock says he's engaged

  8. problem for me is i cant tell one from next between applebees, outback, TGIF, denny's etc etc. instead of going to chain sit down place i'd rather opt for a fast food like wendy's or a local pizza place. my impression is the food and service is better at these places versus applebee types where it all comes out of one big frozen microwave refrigerator anyway.

As opposed to Wendy's where everything is made lovingly from scratch?

  9. And Sports Illustrated picked the 2006 Miami Dolphins to win Superbowl XLI after finished 2005 strongly at 9-7.

Let's feel good about increased recognition for our 7-9 Bills, but let's take "expert" opinion with a grain of salt.

Jaws is one of the few people on that network who actually studies and knows the game of football. Unlike the other "experts" who either continue to ignore or ridicule JP, Jaws (like most of us) saw a QB who improved leaps and bounds over the final eight weeks of the season. If it were Irvin or Salisbury or another goof on ESPN I wouldn't think too much of it. But coming from Jaws, it means something I think.

Why he's not on the MNF telecasts and Theismann is, is beyond me.
