  1. Division pride? What kind of crap is that?

Normally, we sort of dislike the other teams in our division, and do not want them to succeed.

Maybe you are different, and can suddenly root for the Pats and Jets. Lots of luck, pardner.

I don't mind the Jets so much, but I want those f&*in' Pats knocked out as soon as possible. So, I will root for whomever plays the Patsies. Crush them - if you can!

  2. Absolutely, I think Bills fans should look at the positives.

Yeah, Drew sucks, but people seem to give JP zero chance to develop. They give him crap because he played at Tulane, not at some Football U? How would you like a young QB from Miami of Ohio? No, he could never do the job either ;-)

Some folks say we must get a dominant tight end. But only a very few teams actually have one. Gonzalez is great. Schockey has not done much this year. Antonio Gates came from out of nowhere. A few other guys, but most teams live without a dominant TE, and the Bills can too.

I like the positive outlook, though.

  3. If Losman is on the field next year...expect rebuild with Jennings and Williams walking, and a few other surprises.

OK, you may have a mental problem. Jennings may leave, but Williams walking? Big Mike? Are you insane? Pulling stuff from your rectum? What is it?

A few other surprises? Fill us in, please.

This ought to be a juicy story you are cookin' up here.

  4. Sadly, you are correct IMO.

Someone mentioned how sick they are of seeing that look on Bledsoe's face after he has done something stupid which causes an INT or fumble.

I, too, am sick of that apologetic face.

Drew can be a caretaker QB if the defense and ST are kicking butt. But if you need Drew to come up big, in a big game, forget about it. You have the wrong guy.

Sadly, we are probably stuck with Drew. My only hope is that he is the backup QB next year, not the starter.

  5. "Fans like you suck."

That IS pretty funny. It seems to me that fans like Steel4Real are welcome to pop in when their team plays our team. You did not come in and talk sh-- and act like a jerk. It was not the stuff of trolls we have seen here.

Some people are just hot heads who will be pissed off for a long while about losing today. Oh well...

  6. 15-1 is pretty damned impressive.

When your backup defenders stop our running game, that's impressive too.

Your dominant OL makes our defense look pretty weak.

Hopefully, Tom D can build the Bills via a dominant O line like the way the Steelers were built.

I hope the Steelers can keep the Patriots out of the Super bowl this year - please!

    Congratulations.

  7. Well, ol' Rob Johnson could throw a fine deep ball, too. But, again, the mental part falls short when there is pressure or a quick decision to be made.

    Drew looked awful out there.

I'm willing to live with Losman's 1st year starter quirks, because I believe he has great upside for the future (including 2005!).

  8. Wow, good call, Dave. Finding a silver lining in today's games.

The lame-o Rams beat the Jets, somehow, but it did not matter. The lame-o Vikes lost but are still a wild card, I think.

The Bills have shown a lot of good things to take into next year. If they can just fix the deficiencies, we'll be OK.

Moving up a couple of draft spots is great, though.

  9. Good post.

These folks that relate this game to life and death (hoping Lindell dies, etc.) need to get a grip.

We had to know that we were great against bad teams, but would get clobbered by decent playoff teams. The Bills took a step forward this year.

Hopefully, the braintrust sees Bledsoe's shortcomings.

Hopefully, Losman stays around in the off-season to learn as much as possible.

Evans will likely be training with Moulds in the off-season.

Lots of good things for 2005.

  10. I think Travis has a serious lack of "football smarts" (whatever the hell that is!).

Like his apparent belief that you only need to carry the ball - to heck with trying to block to protect your QB. Let the linemen do that sh%t!

When TH came in for WM (month or 2 ago), his lame attempt at blitz pickup was simply pathetic. Shameful.

Now, if Ma Henry had football smarts, she would put her boy through her Backyard Blitz Pickup Camp to give her boy the skills he lacks.

    Oh well, ain't gonna happen.

A 3rd rounder for TH would be just peachy to me, considering his shortcomings.

  11. Butch Byrd, not obscure, one of our all-time great CBs, was a mechanic in the off-season at a Chrysler dealer at Hertel & Delaware. My neighbor was a salesman there.

Sestak & Maguire had a restaurant/pizza place in Kenmore.

It's funny to hear Paul Maguire talk about those old days, where players came to camp in July to GET in shape! After goofing off for 6 months.
