  1. Promo, the problem is that there is absolutely no chance that the Bills will franchise him next year with a 20 percent raise given his feelings about playing here and the amount of money involved. None. Nada. Zilch. Zero.

Absolutely NO possibility. You are talking out of your ass and it smells like it.

If Bills decide it is best way to deal with future holdouts and they have cap space (and they do) they might decide do it.

Just like some coaches some GMs are hard asses.

  2. I wonder how much the Bills skittishness about his PF injury last season is driving all of this. From a player's perspective, an injury like that should lead him to demand the long term contract ASAFP and not wait around for another year. The team, on the other hand, might have thought that granting a long term deal at a Goldsen level would be too risky given the foot issue.

The ironic thing is that the foot problem is driving fans to claim that he's dogging it, when it might be the reason the Bills never gave him a good long term offer in the first place.

Or he could be completely healed - he had many months during off-season - and is dogging it to try to get Bills to make trade they would not agree to before since Bills have declared they will not waive ability to tag next year. Also a realistic possibility unless you only have view player is right like you have posted many, many times.

  3. From NFL.com:

    http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000238562/article/jairus-byrd-reportedly-wants-buffalo-bills-to-trade-him

That won't be easy. Interested parties will be asked to hand draft picks to Buffalo and an expensive new contract to Byrd. You don't see teams standing in line for a high-priced safety with a foot injury.

Byrd played through the pain of plantar fasciitis last season, according to Rapoport. Back then, the defender held out hope for a new contract, a deal that would keep him in town for years to come. The Bills have shown no interest in making long-term promises, and it comes as little surprise to hear that Byrd wants out.

Really? The Bills have not been trying to get one all off season with Byrd.

Quite a one sided article. I expect NoSaint to be quoting it a lot.

  4. Probably for the Bills, but not the Jills. Though a part of the organization, the Jills are their own separate group. With that said, was there no Buffalo based jewerly store that wanted to step up and be a sponsor? Instead they have to go into Pats* territory to get one?

Maybe they have learned that some organizations are more friendly to Bills outside the area than in area. The Boston news conference was quite a bit more friendly than the local press ones have been.

  5. I have never seen a team in such a mad scramble just to fill their opening day a roster as this year's Bills team. Seems there is more of a focus on who they can find to wear a uniform than on the Patriots. I am not optimistic that this team is prepared for Sunday.

Never seen it? I have seen posts about it in other threads by you so I guess you have a memory lapse since then.

Suffer a concussion beating head into wall? Next time I recommend a running start.

  6. How can you misdiagnose HIV? The blood test tells whether you have it or not. If in doubt a viral load would answer the question

Not necessarily. Blood test can give false positives. Know someone who was tested multiple times stating he had HIV virus. When he went to 3rd testing company it gave several possible results saying test was inconclusive and gave possible secondary tests for doctor to test for. His doctor finally determined it was another issue.

  7. Doctors misdiagnose all the time.

    • Was diagnosed as borderline mentally retarded as child and sent to special school (Wanaka for those who are locals) and within one week in school I was told it was a bad diagnosis, given an IQ test and told I had a 164 IQ).
    • Was diagnosed with epilepsy in high school and 9 years later told mistake.
    • Had leg issue with one doctor diagnosing it as 'all in my head' and another with Plantar Facitiis; later diagnose revealed a tumor the size of a golf ball. I went to doctor who said it was a mental issue, dropped copy of results and told him in front of patients and coworkers he was a quack.

Tommy Morrison did not help his case challenging the existence of the virus. He should have challenged the testing which can result in false positives repeatedly in some cases.

  8. It is NOT a contract year for him if Bills has said they will tag him again if he is not will to negotiate a long term deal.

All he can do is attempt to sour the milk and hope next team which signs him will discount period when he was having contract dispute.
