  1. I searched a bit, and maybe I missed it, but I did not see any posts about him, and I just looked at the stat line, and he led our defense with nine tackles. Welcome back Jim Leonard! There was another real nice

Play by him towards the end of the game, can't remember what it was, but he stood out a bit to me!

He actually tied the lead in tackles with 2 other players and it is not surprising since they played with 3 safeties to compensate with #1 CB out and Tyrd's plantar fasciitis aggravated by back pedaling away from long term contract and quick change of direction to sign it before he lost a game check.

  2. No, you can do it yourself. https:192.168.1.1 to get to the router, password is printed on a sticker on the router, user name admin. if that password doesn't work, try password1. The WPA key will be a few characters longer than the WEP key, so you will have to change the passwords on all wireless devices.

I thought it was a secret that half of Verizon's passwords are password1.

I work for Verizon and I just get strange looks when I say that is a bad default password.

  3. No they didn't. and yes it would. I also didn't see Frank Summers in the game. CJ can use a lead blocker (actually so can Fred) and this is a mistake. The I formation worked well last year as well as some spread formations. You design things to the strengths of your players, they didn't do it in this game plan, IMO. The run plays yesterday especially to CJ were poorly called, he does need space or to get around the corner. He can run off tackle but not all of the time . He did look off his game too, hope he doesn't have a MD type of season (in light of his last couple of weeks).

Last year's blocking scheme was better for Spilller than the blocking scheme used in this game. That scheme created holes and slant lanes that Spiller utilized to get his runs up the middle. And it is the OC's responsibility to adjust plays to take advantage of whatever the defense was giving and he did not do that.

  4. Studies show that you tend to spend 12% more per month if you use a card vs cash.

Studies did not include me hence not applicable just like studies involving American Idol and Survivor. Studies show that STUDIED tend to spend 12% more per month if you use a card vs cash IF it was done properly.

  5. The bottomline is run CJ on the outside not the inside, have Fred run the inside. Sure it's gonna be transparent that way, but that is clearly where their strenghts are (and their weaknesses vica versa).

CJ can run on the inside. For that he needs a scheme which creates holes and slant lanes that Spiller can utilize to get his runs up the middle. He is not a break the tackle back like Jackson.

  6. Last year's blocking scheme was better for Spilller than the blocking scheme used in this game. That scheme created holes and slant lanes that Spiller utilized to get his runs up the middle. The offense line is not as good as last year and neither are the WRs at blocking so this all going to affect Spiller's game. The QB is also not up to calling changing in line like last year. Coaching staff threw out the baby with the bath water and look at what worked last year and incorporate those elements into the game so Spiller can become dynamic again in middle of the field.

  7. Thanks for the heads up. Just got some stuff. Is there a clerance sale at the Bills store as some posters have mentioned?

There was a code in email that gave you $10 off $50 if you signed up for email from Bills store if you were not already on list.

As a token of our appreciation, The Official Buffalo Bills Pro Shop would like to offer you a one time offer for $10 off your order of $50 or more! I do not know if code is good anymore.

  8. Been reading the other posts and it seems as though most believe Byrd's faking the PF. However, just saw an ESPN preview where Mike Rodak says he doesn't expect Byrd to play. Does anyone have info saying otherwise?

If he has incentives in contract to pay he plays; if he can just collect a paycheck he will say he is not ready.

  9. Kelly's arm, Fluties legs, Fitz's brain, J P's hair, Bledsoes ..umm.. arm again I guess...

I think Manuel will fit just fine...

And hopefully Ryan Fitzpatrick's durability as well for he is going to take a LOT of hits and will be needed to block on occasion.

  10. I can never understand what half the branding is about.

As an example I have a '59Fifty' cap I bought from Bills store on clearance.

Google searched and found out it is from a company based in Buffalo called New Era Cap Company (a good thing) but what does 59Fifty mean?

Got a few other items some with different brands or insignia which I do not care about.

Oh Bills store clearance prices were a lot better. Got a box of stuff for less than $50.

  11. There are a lot of issues involved in this:

    • Are you home or away?
    • Is the crowd the type which is always late getting into stadium due to the screeners who were rejected from airport screening because they were not efficient enough?
    • Is the crowd in bathrooms, on illegal smoke breaks or getting over priced beer at start of second half?
    • is the crowd likely to turn on home team after a bad start?
    • Is it indoor or is it outdoor and if it is outdoor how does weather and sun factor into it?

Hopefully new "Analytics" department has accounted for all of these factors.

  12. Some agents negotiate option out clauses but I would think that would be silly with the amount of guaranteed and bonus money he got.

    8/6/2010: Signed a six-year, $39.3 million contract.

The deal contains $20.8 million guaranteed.

Another $12.5 million is available through incentives, roughly $12 million of which are available in the final yearr.

Spiller is eligible for an annual $250,000 workout bonus throughout the contract's life.

    2013: $2,623,334,

    2014: $1,748,750,

    2015: $2,196,663,

    2016: Free Agent

  13. 4) Thanks to those who read my "Thoughts." But do remember, they are just that. I don't serve them up as expert opinion. In fact, I am so busy looking to see if Glenn can extend his arms and ward off pass rushers, etc. that I often have to watch replays to see scoring plays. But the TRUE purpose of this post is to create dialogue.

I will do my best at waving but since I will not be at opener II do not think it will help.

    Great post as usual Bill.
