Haliburton is earning himself a spot as one of the all-time great clutch shooters in NBA history with this playoff run

As a Knicks fan, I wouldnt mind liking Haliuburton but that choke thing he did was over the line. I hate the fact that the Knicks have such a terrible home court, despite how much the organision thinks they dont becuase a lot of celebs go to games.

I think Beane is sick of the press scrutiny and took it out on them.  Very unlike Beane, he could have handled it better

Disagree - Jeremy didn't back down, he defended the show and his stance.  Beane calmed down a little bit

I feel he should have went harder after Beane there. That was the time.

  3. Jeremy White bases his whole radio personna on a "WR TRAIN" and when the topic comes up direct with the GM, he folds.  THAT was his opportunity to speak direct to the GM about the fact this WR room is substandard compared to virtually every other top team in the league. And he whiffed.  This is what happens when you have a press corps thats a social club full of fanboys/girls. Jeremy doesnt want to lose access to the club room with the good sushi, I guess.

Forgive the offseason post, but this thought crossed my mind last night, so flame appropriately.

It's hard for me to argue that Josh has been let down by the defense in key games, especially the playoffs.  You could also say that the Bills were outcoached in most of their playoff losses.  Add in being in the same conference as the Ravens, Bengals, Chiefs, and other improving AFC teams, it's not going to get any easier soon.

With being from the west coast and being engaged to a movie star, is it crazy to think it might make more sense for him to want to play out his contract and join a team like the Rams?  He would immediately become the NFL king of LA, have an offensive minded coach, and be closer to home.  I think his chances to get a ring would greatly improve, and he'd get to play in a dome where he excels.

To be clear, I don't want any of this to happen.  But if it did, I don't think I could really blame him.  Yes, the Bills took a chance on him, but he was still a top 10 pick and has paid the team and city back well beyond that.  I would hate it, but I would still support him.

Josh Allen, right now is playing for one of the best-run and successful organizations in the NFL with solid ownership, a new stadium coming and a fantastic fanbase.

If Josh leaves, hes a moron.

“Mentour Pilot” on Youtube is going to be REALLY busy the rest of this year…

I like Mentour but when it comes to incidents/accidents, Juan Brown is tops.

You do realize that everyone who works at the DMV, home insurance company, and bank has access to your info. This kinda paranoia is based in being completely ignorant.

This is what I came here to say. Once you punched your info into the NYS DMV to process a payment or to the IRS to eFile, access was given to your PII for every federal and state agency from Maine to Maui.

  7. Joey: Wait a minute. I know you. You're Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. You play basketball for the Los Angeles Lakers.

Roger Murdock: I'm sorry, son, but you must have me confused with someone else. My name is Roger Murdock. I'm the co-pilot.

Joey: You are Kareem! I've seen you play. My dad's got season tickets.

Roger Murdock: I think you should go back to your seat now, Joey. Right, Clarence?

Captain Oveur: Nahhhhhh, he's not bothering anyone. Let him stay here.

Roger Murdock: But just remember, my name is...

    [showing his nametag]

Roger Murdock: ROGER MURDOCK. I'm an airline pilot.

Joey: I think you're the greatest, but my dad says you don't work hard enough on defense.

    [Kareem gets angry]

Joey: And he says that lots of times, you don't even run down court. And that you don't really try... except during the playoffs.

Roger Murdock: [breaking character] The hell I don't! LISTEN, KID! I've been hearing that crap ever since I was at UCLA. I'm out there busting my buns every night! Tell your old man to drag Walton and Lanier up and down the court for 48 minutes!

I don't care if it's limited to Richie Incognito.  If it happens, it's wrong.  "Whataboutism" is no defense.  (And by the way, "testimony" is a specific word with connotations of a formal, even a sworn, statement - which appearing on Sal's podcast is not)

Does it really need to be said?  If Bills DB coach John Butler was "literally destroying" his assistant, not with criticism of his OJP  or banter but with racial or sexual slurs, then John Butler is a jerk and maybe there's a reason he and the Bills "mutually decided to part ways" and why he was out of the NFL last year.

Im talking about Butler the GM, not the coach.

And I dont think its "whataboutism" per se. For me, its about putting in place a standard for individuals that does not make sense. Yes, as time marches on, society's tolerance for lousy behavior changes. But again...we cant pretend these guys are accountants, either.

  9. 3 hours ago, Beck Water said:

It had to do with how Incognito and his teammates, huge powerful athletes, treated the working guys in the building.  From a summary:

"We find that the Assistant Trainer repeatedly was targeted with racial slurs and other racially derogatory language."

Here you have supposedly grown-ass men, bullying an assistant trainer who is paid peanuts compared to them and is physically smaller and weaker.

I recall an episode of "If the Walls in Buffalo Could Talk" podcast, where an assistant to John Butler was on and gave testimony that Butler literally destroyed the guy, regularly.  You think this is limited to RI?

  10. I think its cute that so many think these players are upstanding moral citizens and comport themselves like accountants when the cameras are off and go to bed and say their prayers after games and...for Heaven's sake....NEVER did anything "questionable" in college.

Was Richie on the bad end of the spectrum and probably deserved a kick to the head from Martin and a reprimand from his coach? Sure. But lets not pretend these guys are choir boys, tho OK?

I fly these CRJs with Delta's Endeavor Air often - I consider them well built, solid aircraft with good parts. They are the Subaru of airplanes to me as a customer.

I hate how cramped the CRJs are and the fact that the carriers are pushing them on longer flights, but they are defintely fleet workhorses.

When Kramer hears about this the sh!t's gonna hit the fan!

So help me God, right down to the ground!!!

My friend flies the Airbus for Delta and I asked him if they did Airplane lines on the flight deck and he stated “Of course, we do.”

  13. Some video coming out from another plane waiting to take off. The idiot pilot didnt "flare" the plane for landing AND didnt have the flaps down for landing. S/he just flew into the ground in a misconfigured jet. What basically happens is that a plane gets to about 10 feet above the ground, the pilot raises the nose slightly, cuts power back and the wings stop "flying" and the plane...usually gently...touches down. Im sure sherpa will quibble on the details here, especually being a former Navy guy (as he should), but thats the general idea. What appears to have happened here is that pilot didnt do that and just flew the plane into the ground, snapping the landing gear AND breaking the wing spar, which takes a TON of force to do. You can actually see the whole fuselage buckling and the wing spar snap.

  14. Yeah yeah...I know I have a better chance of being hit by lightning. But living in a place that, if the stuff DID hit the fan, I can perfectly and verbatim recreate the Sarah Connor scene in Terminator 2, Im more than happy to see the RU and the US restore dimplomatic relations and reopen comms channels. From what I read, ALL diplomatic channels, even the so-called "red phone" was shut down the last few years. Thats just insane.
