1. If We finish 10-6 there is absolutly zero reason whey Bledsoe should not start next year. None, Nadda, Zip, Zilch. Thats a 10-2 finish over the last 12 games of the season and ending the season with a 7 game winning streak. Than you definitly go with Bledsoe. Ride the momentum into next season with what will be a "WIN NOW" season. I get the feeling that ladies gentlemen if we didn't start so poorly we're watching the emmergence of a win now team, thats ready to compete.. Why deny that so we "might" be good 2-3 years down the road waiting for a qb to mature. I believe we are just 1-2 players away from competing for a championship and a 10-6 finish to the season would definitly reafirm this belief for me, that you can win with bledsoe at qb, and that we are capable of challenging. If we however falter and finish worse than 9-7. Anywhere between 5-11-8-8. You hand over the reigns to losman. I think thats fair, and I have a pretty strong belief thats what the bills will do.

  2. I think Mcgahee is a little bit like curtis martin right now. Not a speed back (at least not yet) but gets his big runs in a 20-25 yard incriments, Has good field vision a quick lateral movement to bounce runs to the outside and cut back in good at picking up the blitz and solid hands for catching passes in the flat as a checkdown options. However I think Willis also has his own style, a Brusier, a speedster, a contributer, even when he's not having great games he contributes with his ability to pick up blitz's to take pressure off drew. It's no coincidnece the # of sacks have gone down dramatically since willis has become the starter and thats not because drew bledsoe has not become a stationary qb aka a "statue" but the ability of willis to contriubute in pass protection. We got a great rb here folks, We're in good Hands with Willis

  3. The 4th and 1 48 yard fg that was made, but we called a timeout and went for it and than mcgahee got his 30 yard td run to put us up 31-3. That was gutsy as hell and it paid off. The type of play that can give a team some real confidence. Play of the game imo even though we pretty much had it wrapped up that was just the icing on the cake.

  4. Joey Harrington is the epitome of a dink and dunk qb, which btw there is nothing wrong with that as that formula has been sucessfull for a few qb's in todays nfl. When you only look at the 14 tds to 7 int's you're not looking at the whole story as Harringtons qb rating over the past 3 games has been 63.7, 32.5, and 70.3. I also think the lions being 1-5 in their past 6 games might have something to do with why the lions were considering benching Harrington. I also believe Mike McMahon has more natural talent than Harrington. He brings a stronger arm, and hell of a lot more mobility, but he's a project. IMO though he's worth it and would be a better fit for Mooch's offense.

  5. If you have the means to look it up, here is what I consider to be THE most telling stat about sacks.......What are the numbers with and without Travis Henry as the starter?

    131207

The # of sacks Bledsoe has taken with travis Henry as the bills starting rb week 1-7 (minus miami game)- 22

The # of sacks Bledsoe has taken in the 5 games willis was the starter-4 :)

Very telling indeed about the ability of mcgahee to pick up blitz's

  6. Yeah the guy that got hurt was asante samuel. If thats not a break I'll be shocked he looked badly hurt. About trent green "torching" that secondary give any qb the chiefs oline and over 5 seconds to throw and they'll do the same. The thing ne did that we didn't was put in rushing attempts. Even though they didn't get yards they put in attempts which forced the pats to respect run and gave the chiefs the ability to effectivly use play action passes. Trent Green also made some dumbass mistakes the int in the endzone the sack on 4th down. Don't mistake trent green for "good" qb either. He put up stats but didn't make plays when he had to. So yeah it looks nice on paper but it doesn't tell the whole story, and before anyone chimes in. No I'm not defending bledsoe the guys done. No more reason to beat the same dead hore with a stick.

  7. 3 and out Bledsoe.  Dont forget the mere 24 minutes time of possession too

    129680

24 minutes of time posession and 30 points scored..... BRILLIANT!! The 3rd down conversion % is a bothersome stat and says something about our defense while not great, but very good to be on the field so much and yet not allow a lot of points. Although our time of posession might have been higher if in the defense themselves was able to force a few 3 and outs. I know they did in the 3rd quater and cause of them and special teams we were able to score 20pts, might have been more if not for some questionable penalties. I'll still take it

I know the rams aren't exactaly a great road team, but they were an over .500 team and I think this is a quality win, I also know we're not making the playoffs, but I would like to see us whoop on the sehawks at their house. It would go a long way to show what this team is capable of.

  8. Didnt TO play with Gracia in San Fransisco? T.O. has more or less had a price on his head, and has actually come out and said "stop me if you can". That in itself makes up for any excuse you may want to make for Moulds. Playmakers do exacty that, make a whole bunch out of nothing. Randy Moss + Randle Cunningham. Rest that case.

    123984

And Garcia was still better than Bledsoe. Garcia 2 straight years of over 30 td passes, and could move around and make things happen. as For Cunningham 1998 was his best stastical season ever.

Randall Cunningham | 16 | 259 425 60.9 3704 8.7 34 10 | whens the last time drew bledsoe threw 34 td passes. I'm not gonna compare anyone to randy moss, because he's clearly the best receiver in this game, and can dominate any corner any time he wants to. I'm not making "excuses for moulds" yes I still believe Eric Moulds is one of the best receivers in the game, and yes I believe he'd prove it with a capable qb who doesn't always just look at him. If Moulds had Payton manning for his career as a qb. I believe he'd be right up there stastically with the like of owens and harrison. Consistency with a good qb is the key. Not Todd Collins one year, than alex van pelt, flutie, rob jonhson, back to van pelt than bledsoe. Moulds to me is still a top flight wr.

  9. I'll take moulds words more seriousily than troy vincent at least moulds busts his ass every week for this teem, all troy vincent has done is milk 2 million dollars sitting on the damn sidelines. I was all over the troy vincent signing at the time, thinking what a great signing it was. However now all I see is a guy milking an injury. I have no doubt he's injured, but he doesn't seem to be trying, and if Troy Vincent is the new face of "leadership" of the Buffalo Bills, than we're in trouble, and need to bring in new veteran leadership. Guys who want to play, and try to come back from injuries and inspire their teammates, instead of miling cash. I wouldn't be suprised to see Vincent retire, and I wouldn't be against him doing so one bit.

  10. SHANE MATTHEWS SUCKS. FORGET HIM. HE'S HORRIBLE. He wouldn't have us with a winning record right now. He was available in the 3rd week of preseason in LATE AUGUST. if he was so good he would've been signed by some team who could've used a backup qb a lot sooner. Good backup quaterbacks don't sit around twiddling their thumbs at home in LATE AUGUST, Matthews should never see a snap on the field ever. Start Losman he's the future. Keep matthews holding that clipboard on the bench.

  11. I'm gonna say Javon Walker. You can call him a product of Brett Favre's arm all you want to, but if I need a big play I'd much rather have Walker a physical receiver who will go over the middle. I personally don't think Torry Holt is all that. I think if there was ever a wr friendly system it's the rams. Put torry holt on a team that doesn't have a marshall faulk, or an ike bruce, where he's the clear cut #1 option and now you're looking at a guy who was a consensus top 5 receiver who's gonna look a lot more like a top 10-20 receiver. Holt is good, but he's not all he's cracked up to be. He plays too soft, only goes over the middle once in a blue moon and if you play him physical at line of scrimmage you knock him off his game.

  12. The 2nd half of the 1999 season Under Head Coach Pete Caroll the Ne Patriots come out the gates Flying High off to a 6-2 record. In fact they looked really great. Bledsoe was playing at an all star level I believe he had 100+ qb rating at that point in time they comeback after their week 9 by and just collapse. Loss 3 in a row to the jets to miami and to us, beat dallas, than lose to indy, philly, and us again and end the season with win against the ravens. So after starting 6-2 in 1999 the pats collapse by going 2-6 the 2nd half of that year. Bledsoe would never be the same qb he once was after this season. Why I don't know, something had to have happened during that period that could explain it, but all I know is after 99 the hits started catching up to him. He became indecisive, nervous in the pocket, and generally unaware of what was happining around him. Drew Bledsoe is a smart man. He knows the game. However he doesn't yet realize this sport has now passed a once good quaterback bye. The man that could put up 300 yards a game with ease, a man you wouldn't mind having under center if you needed a quick score was replaced by the flaking of a shell of a man with the same name. He now struggles to even put up 100 yards a game, and the once good quaterback has become the laughing stock of the nfl, mentioned in the same breath as jay fiedler, aj feely, kyle boller and the like. Whenever exactaly Bledsoe lost his "mojo" or his will to compete, or maybe just his ability to read a defense and produce is up for debate, but I for one am tired of being tricked. We need to move in a new direction. Its been far too long since we had a team to be proud of, and I don't care if we do it with a big name, or a nobody. I just want it done. So Long Drew!!

  13. What happened to bledsoe is a combination of taking too many hits over the years, and mentally just not being in the zone. I could go around the league and point of several qb's who are probably slower than Bledsoe, but they have "it". Bledsoe has let the game pass him by. He's nervous and it shows. He doesn't have the passion for the game anymore, and maybe with the exception of parcells year never really did. It's depressing to me cause I'm a big time Bledsoe supporter, but the man is done. He's not gonna win with a running game, or a better oline, or a te, or reliable wr's(even though we do need these things). Last night was indeed the final nail in the coffin. Bledsoe has played "well" at home, but he's a lousy qb on the road, and down right disgusting to watch when the team we're playing on the road is above .500 and we're in a must win game. I would've liked to see nothing more than for us to turn the corner with bledsoe at the helm, but it's time Bledsoe just keep on his parka and stand on the sidelines with the "Bledsoe Look" on his face. You know that look as he's coming off the field where he rips off the chin strap and has a blank expression on his face.

It's Time for JP to gain some experience. I don't care what our final record is this season, nor do I care about where dallas is picking from. We don't have a better chance to win with Bledsoe, and no Shane Matthews should never play. If he was any good he wouldn't have been available by week 3 of the preseason. Let JP develop a rhythm with Mcgahee and evans and the rest of the offense, and begin to look foward to next season.

  14. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH THE OLINE DID IT'S JOB?!?!?!? What game where you people watching? The oline gets no push none. No bledsoe didn't get sacked much but there was no pocket to step into. The run blocking was attrocious, and were forced to be one dimensional when we only have 1 good receiver. Eventually evans will be good, but this oline as well as bledsoe played horrible tonight. We Need a te, we need some guys on the oline to get a damn push, we need receivers to hold onto the ball, and we need to start JP Losman starting next week. I'm not gonna hold gripe about the fumble or that pick as bad as that was, cause he's a rookie. Our season is over, time to get JP some experience and in the offseason do his career a big favor and get some damn offensive lineman who know what the hell to do and can dominate the line of scrimmage. That and we also need a pass rusher bad. Our defense forces no pressure none at all. John abraham anyone?

The oline did it's Job lmfao thanks for that laugher. I needed something to brighten my spirit. :D

  15. I have a feeling the bills will bring it on the road and we walk away with the w. Now this feeling could just be gas from the pasta I ate earlier, but I really like our chances on sunday. RUN WILLIS RUN and solid defense and the bills win 24-13

  16. Come on now.

I speak for probably every negative poster here on this board when I say that if the Bills somehow beat the Patriots on Sunday night, then even the most negative of us fans will become believers.

But ICE, for all the stevestojan he takes here, is completely right. Until the Drew-led Bills can win a freaking away game, we are not to be taken seriously. Yes, our D is outstanding and so is our new RB McGahee, but last year our D and our RB (Henry) were also about equally as outstanding and we STILL couldn't beat a legitimate team on the road.

No doubt I think we're currently a playoff-caliber team when at home. But away from The Ralph, until our new McGahee-led offense proves otherwise, we're still the same old road chokers.

    112086

I pretty much agree with everything you said except that our Rb was equally outstanding as Willis is this year. Don't get me wrong I like Henry. I like the courage and drive he played with the past 2 seasons, but He's not Willis Mcgahee. I've never gotten the feeling that henry takes a game over, that we can feed off travis and open up the offense. I've never seen henry get more than 20 yards on a run except a few times here or there, at least with not as much consistency as Mcgahee. Henrys a nice little back, but he doesn't take over games. We have something special here in Willis. How special? We'll find out this sunday. I agree until we can win on the road we have every right to be skeptical, and all the good feelings and praise and # throwing will do nothing to sway even the most skeptical of us fans. The only way to win pessimists over is with a W, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
