How many regular season wins will each NFL have this year? Here are the Las Vegas over/unders for the number of wins for each team.Example: The NY Jets number is 9. I can bet the Jets OVER 9 (10-6 or better, I win) or UNDER 9 (8-8 or worse, I win). If they go 9-7 it's a tie and no one wins.

I was wondering about the same thing. Maybe tyhe Bills have a white version of the throwback they are going to go with.
By the way, if anyone is interested the Chargers will also be wearing the powder blue throwbacks in their Monday night game with Pittsburgh.
I think it would be awesome! However, I believe the Bills have stated that they will only wear the uniforms for two regular season games, one home and one away. The home game is against the Texans. Since one team usually wears a "white" jersey I would think it unlikely that the Bills would wear a dark blue at the same time SD is wearing a lighter blue....Of course it is possible. I think it would be great. I hope I am wrong...

Hi,
I live out here in San Diego and will be going to the game between the Bills and Chargers on November 20th. The Chargers will be wearing their powder blue throwback uniforms that afternoon and will also be honoring Lance Alworth. For any oldtimers out there, he was the first player from the AFL to make it to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
I have heard some rumors about the Bills wearing their throwback uniforms for the San Diego game as well as the opener with the Texans. Can anyone verify this.
Just think it would be great to see both times in their throwbacks to celebrate the 40th aniversary of the 1965 AFL Championship game.
Anyways, if anyone knows, please answer this post and thanks much.

Was just down their on a business trip. The weather is very hot and humid. Prices of homes are incredible, of course that is based on my perspective of being a property owner in San Diego.
Nice people in the area, lot of academic institutions so it is a party area. Not much in the way of high-tech business.
Make sure your car has air conditioing and take money with you as their is an amazing lack of ATM machines per square mile.
My girlfriend and I are traveling to Raleigh and then Charlotte for a few days in the middle of August. I know there are a bunch of people on the board that are from North Carolina - any thoughts on things to do, places we should definitely see, etc.?(by the way, part of the reason we are going down there is bc we are thinking about moving - we want to see what our options are outside of Buffalo for obvious reasons.)

This should answer your question.
To have the broadcasts in HD TV you must have a HD TV dish and receiver. This is the only way in which you can receive those broadcasts in HD.
If you have a standard dish and receiver you will still be able to see the broadcast, however, it will be in the broadcast capability of your receiver system.
this may be a stupid question, so i apologize in advance. NFL network says it will be airing 15 preseason games in HD this year...if a person has the DTV HD package and receives the NFL network (which is normally NOT HD), will those broadcasts automatically air in HD?and on a related note, does anyone know if/when DTV will be adding more HD channels (such as ESPN2 HD)?

If J.P. were to post statistics similar to what Carson Palmer put up in Cincinnati the Bills will be an 8-8 or 7-9 football team. The reson I say this is because from a purely statistical comparison Drew Bledsoe did have better numbers then those generated by Palmer. Remember Drew had 20 TD's and 16 picks.
The more realistic comparison is to compare against Roethlisbergers stat line which is 2621 yards passing in 14 games with a completion percentage of 66% and a 17-11 TD/INT ratio.
The Bills defense and special teams are far superior to what Cincinnati fielded last year and I believe that J.P. will have a stats profile more like Big Ben and that should be good enough to get the Bills to at least 10 wins.

Billy Devaney who was the Director of Player Personnel and now is on CBS Sports Pregame show talked about Travis Henry.
He stated that there was no reason for Tom Donahoe to make any type of move on TH until the opening of training camp and that a running back such as Travis Henry could be moved by the 3rd pre-season game since he has pro experience and could learn an offense very quickly.
Also Devaney also felt that the Bills could hold out for a 2nd round pick based on Henry's past production and very workable contract. He also brought up the Vikings as a potential spot for Henry as they do have a need for an inside runner to compliment Michael Bennett.
These were just some thoughts from a known NFL source and hope you find them interesting.

I do think the Tennessee will be the destination for Travis Henry. I have posted a few times thinking that the Bills could get a defensive linemen which the Titans do have in abundance.
I have suggested either Randy Starks or Rien Long since the Titans have some depth at Defensive Tackle. I have been shot down each time by people who know nothing about either player and can't seem to follow even the simple statistics that I have provided about the post.
Additionally I also agree with you about the group of supposed football fans who take advantage of this board to post their moronic ramblings of the next adventure of "Lost" or meaningless takes on stupid off topics which simply wast time and bandwidth.
Maybe these people should find a lonely losers chat line to spend their idle time discussing all the things the average brain dead speaks about.
By the way for those of you that were offended from my statement of your collective lack of football knowledge and need to include other studid topics, GOOD because now you can all attack me and I can shred your lack of grammer, inability to spell or evn convey the most simplistic idea.

I realize that the top 100 guitarists, who is dying on Lost and what color the booger that stojan pulled from his nose and needs medical advice are probably more exciting. Actually, no its not.
Special Teams plays a crucial role in the determination of field position and would you like to review the statistics of teams having to go 75+ yards on drives to score touchdowns sometime.
Lindell made over 85% of his FG attempts last year and two over 45+ be taken off the scoreboard.
The people on this board talk about how many game winning FG's he has tried, but lets actually wait until he misses them before assuming he won't make them.
God, people please relax.

What is your problem with Rian Lindell. First of all he was 24 for 28 last year and missed only one kick of importance all season, which was the FG attempt in the Steeler game. He missed no extra points and his kickoffs led to the Bills special teams being able to shut down the opposition kick return game.
There is far more to the kicking game then just making FG's. Try looking at the overall package for the skill set required and before you lose the load in your pants over the availability of Paul Edinger, please remember he is being replaced by Doug (didn't he miss two extra points against the Bills inn 2003) Brien. Also wasn't Brien the kicker who allowed the Steelers to beat the Jets in last years playoffs?
Now, please settle down and let training camp performance allow the decision to be made based on all of the factors of place kicker performance.
I hate Rian Lindell. I f-cking HATE Rian Lindell! The only people I hate more than Rian Lindell are the people who stand up for him and say he's a good kicker. Give me a break! But i'll calm my bitching down because it looks to me like we're finally going to remedy our problems at kicker.Right now, we're rocking out with 3 kickers on our roster. Usually, we only have 2. So that raises a red flag to me. On top of that is all the reports from credible sources that we were chasing Doug Brien, trying to trade up for Mike Nugent, and are close to signing Matt Payne. But if Matt Payne doesn't get signed and Joe Rheem is just fodder, then the Chicago Bears will answer our problem. Let me explain......
The Bears recently signed Doug Brien to a fair deal. He will be their kicker in 2005. This made them release Paul Edinger. He's a good kicker and he would be an upgrade from Lindell. But not only was Edinger a casualty, famed Boise St. kicker Tyler Jones will be as well! The Bears signed him after the draft and now don't have a spot for him. They'll probably let him show his skills in the preseason and then cut him loose.
So we have Edinger on the loose and Jones soon to follow in the coming months. But it doesn't stop there! The Bears also signed Nick Novak after the draft. Nick Novak was the kicker from Maryland who was rated higher than Payne and Rheem on draft boards.
So the Bears are going to cut loose Edinger, Tyler Jones, and Nick Novak. One of them (Tyler Jones please!) should be our new kicker if Payne doesn't come into town.

The Bills haven't addressed their left tackle position, with so far the most notable of the team options being center Trey Teague, backup Mike Gandy and undrafted free agent Jason Peters. Has Tom Donahoe made a serious error in judgment not going after someone in free agency or the draft, or do you hold with the belief that line coach Jim McNally can spin straw into gold?

I would have preferred that the Bills use one of their first two draft picks on an offensive lineman rather than a receiver ( Roscoe Parrish) and a tight end ( Kevin Everett ).

But I don't believe that Donahoe made a serious error in judgment. Parrish has the speed to give the Bills another game-breaker in addition to Eric Moulds and Lee Evans. Although he had the misfortune of suffering a serious knee injury in minicamp, Everett had the potential to provide much-needed play-making help at a position where the Bills already had two players recovering from serious knee injuries.
It also isn't a stretch for the Bills to look to McNally to develop at least a solid starting tackle and a couple of decent reserves from the candidates on the roster. McNally is a talented-enough coach to help a player realize every ounce of his ability.
Another point worth noting is that new starter J.P. Losman brings far more mobility to the quarterback position than the Bills had with Drew Bledsoe, and between his scrambling and the designed rollout plays that will be incorporated into the offense, the line conceivably should have fewer problems in pass protection. The operative word is "conceivably," because Losman's inexperience will likely present its own share of challenges for the line in the early going.

Here's a thought for you. Spend more time in the classroom focusing on spelling and grammer, and in this way, when you and your other Star Wars friends choose to communicate in your enlivened level of geekdom, you can at least do it with proper sentence structure and spelling.

Moulds contract for 2005 is over 5 million and TO has a 2005 contract for 3.5 million. You could structure a two tiered bonus along with a 2006 restructure.
He is already under contract by the way and wants a new contract and signing bonus as he did receive 9.5 million from the Eagles last year. He could be signed and if happy would make JP transition as starting QB much easier, and also factor in what his presence would do for Lee Evans and how it could really open up the Bills offense.
This is doable.

I know I am about to be flamed for this post but here goes anyways.
How does the collective wisdom on this site feel about the following trade:
Eric Moulds & Travis Henry along with the Bills 2nd round pick in 2006 for Terrell Owens and Cory Simon.
Before you all lose it and tell me what a cancer TO is and how Moulds restructured his contract to help out on the salary cap please consider these facts. Moulds has a huge 2006 cap number , will be 32 in July and has been injured a bit in the past few years.
Owens is going to be 32 in December and has an active 6 year contract at a manageable number, now he will need a new signing bonus which could be prorated to support the teams needs.
Henry for Simon works for both teams, it moves players that are FA's after the year and provides player talent at need positions for both. TH would be an excellent between the tackle runner for the Eagles allowing them to split out Westbrook a bit and use him more for 3rd down situations. Simon would be a perfect compliment to Adams in the run defense as he is a shoot the gap type of lineman which Adams is a two gap run stuffer.
The draft pick balances the equity of the trade.

I was reviewing the Bills active roster which presently has 83 players. Assuming Kevin Everett is moved to the PUP list, that leaves 82.
Here are my first 13 cuts:

This leaves 4 more players to make the cut to 65 on August 30th.
Then we have the cut down to 53 frpm which we can add 5 players to the practice squad.
Looking for opinions on who else will get cut and if anyone thinks there will be any SUPRISE cuts.
