I have a lot of respect for Kelly and his cancer battle, but I really don't need him telling Josh Allen all of the things in Kelly's mind, that he is doing wrong.  I might feel different if Allen sought him out for advice, but that doesn't seem to be the case.  The guy can't seem to let go.

Allen will end up being a head case.  He has coaches telling him what to do, Palmer telling him what to do & now Kelly wants to tell him what he needs to do.

BN: What do you think of Josh Allen?

JK: I think he’s the real deal. He needs the quarterback coach, the offensive coordinator to get in his mind. I have already talked to him and told him we need to sit down this offseason. ... I need to tell him some things that I saw that he was not doing that he needs to make sure are instilled in his mind, that I don't know if he's been told.

I never want to tramp on anybody's feet right, but we'll sit down, I'll go over some things with him. (Kelly said he intends to give the specifics to Allen rather than making them public.)

I'm excited about him because his personality is what you need in Buffalo. He's a hardworking SOB. It’s everything I love to see, but he can't do it alone.

I play drums, and I know what to take and release from all the "pros". I always enjoy talking craft. When I was younger I was a sieve, but still new my game. Always, always, always, take on advice from the ones that did it better!

Saw Fant play every game this year. Frankly I don't see what all the hype is about. He is a not a great blocker and was often shut down late in the season. The other tight end (Hockensen) had a much better year receiving and blocking, so Fant would not be in the game when they went with a one tight end set.  Iowa being Iowa played a lot of 2 tight end sets so he did play alot but in many games had little to no impact. He is very good in the red zone but something just did not click this year. He still has all of the measurables that scouts seem to love but I just don't see him being a star. To me, he is not a first round talent as he stagnated this year.

Thanks Hawkeyes38. That is exactly what I was looking for. Based on this thread, I am definitey leaning to drafting one later in the draft.

Great team win and Allen made some huge throws and ran for over 100yards,  end of the day i do not want my franchise QB focused on running the football.  For Allen to become a great franchise QB he needs to throw the ball and more plays to need to be called to throw the ball and not run.  This is a passing league, and ground and pound is for losers  the great teams pass for 300yards on weekly basis and we struggle to make it to 200 yards. Yes the receivers suck but we need to stay committed to becoming a pass first team.  Even finishing this season focused on passing the ball and establishing ourselves as a pass first team will help signing potential free agent WR'S.

You want him to throw when the pocket breaks down and no on is open in his eyes?  Let the kid figure it out. I was happy with his effort. Tough secondary.

Did talk to the hotels and area bars, nothing is running. Cant understand why Pegula would spend that much money revamping Harbor Center and nothing shuttling out of town fans to the game. Guess uber is where its at. Where can we all meet then?

You realize that the stadium is in OP, about 15 miles from downtown, right?

In all honesty we were hoping to find good advice and hopefully find people to get hammered and tailgate with. Taking an uber takes away the fun. But being we are downtown at the Pegula hotels i thought maybe there was some sort of party bus that would be available. They should take note to the bills as much as they do to the sabres down around there

As you can see, there isn't much going from downtown hotels to OP on game days. Put a suggestion slip in at the front desk of the Harbor Center and see what happens. Did you talk to the concierge? They are awesome. What is your budget?

So, now you can do some research. What did you learn? I'm here to help.

It's just more difficult to do things in Buffalo because it's cold most of the year. It's just tougher day to day living for a host of reasons. San Diego sucks for other reasons, but everyday is nice and open to do stuff in Diego.

This is a major crock of shart. If you prefer summer activities all year long San Diego is your place, but Buffalo very rarely stops anyone from enjoying outdoor life.

What a terrible take this is. Not because I disagree but just because it's simply not true.

If you "do your research", you would know that breeders are the ones perpetuating a problem and adopting solves a problem only solved otherwise by mass euthanasia.

Also, adopting REQUIRES a spay or neuter.

The line about using a breeder or you don't deserve one? Wow thats preposterous.

Really, do some research. You don't have to tell us, or even admit it to anyone, but you would benefit from it.

I may not have explained myself well. What breeds are commonly at the shelter? Also, does anyone adopt dogs that are old or with needs? It is simply perpetuating breeding programs and their corresponding issues, when people are so proud to get a dog from a shelter. How many Pit Bulls do we need adopting?

I am all for people taking on dogs that need help, like those that are dropped off due to a death of their providers or strays. All I ever see, is too many puppies and 80% are Pits.

  9. I’m a Godfather to my friend’s daughter. When they are little,I would always give gifts. Then through the teenage years it kinda wore off.  However, now that she is an adult it’s grown into a pretty cool relationship. I take her and her husband out to dinner when I am down in Pittsburgh from time to time..

  10. I'm not sure why everyone thinks tailgating will completely end with a downtown stadium. Buffalo has a ton of surface lots, and if they go where the Perry Projects currently sit there are a ton of businesses with lots that could open for parking as well. Tailgating would still be a thing, unless, they decide to build parking ramps, which I just don't see happening over the ones that are already in place for Key.

Actually Sully speaks of Felser and Jim Kelley in glowing terms.  The two were close and very good friends.  He admired him a lot.

To be honest I was kind of young when Felser was writing.  Sadly, I only remember him as “that old guy reporter” on Empire Sports

It’s a shame he didn’t take that admiration and learn from him.
