1. Can someone explain to me why the Chiefs just didnt...you know...wait until Edwards got fired from the Jets this offseason?

Good move by the Jets, got an extra 4th rounder for someone they were going to fire anyways.

8 head coach vacancies! They would have had competition.

  2. That's what happens when you have less than $40M to make a Holleywood feature film nowadays.  Audiences are used to the $100M special effects. :P

And very good point about the ship -- Serenity is like another character, and that's done intentionally.  They make several references if you watch the commentary, that they wanted to give the ship life.

Oh no, you misunderstand me...I was dissapointed that they put too much sound affects in.

One of the things I love about the TV show was that when they showed the ship in space, there was no sound...just the music (which there was also not enough of).

Inside the ship or once the ship was in atmosphere there was sound affects, but never outside this ship in space.

I always thought it added a level of realism...as much as can be added to a science fiction show that is.

  3. I know I'm bit late jumping in here...but I finally just saw it.

I won't expand on what everyone already has already said over and over about characters etc..., but there is one thing I want to add.

Was it just me, or did anyone else feel as bad or worse when the ship crashed and was getting torn up as they did when anyone died?

It's amazing how that show makes you love the ship as much as any of the characters.

I will also say that there were things I was dissapointed in...most notable the audio/sound affects.

This show REALLY need to get picked back up.

  4. Hey, it may not be so bad.....

Mularkey was coerced by TD, via Wilson, into benching JP for a wiff of the playoffs.  Scuttling all of their off-season and pre-season plans obviously didn't sit well with Clements who probably told Mularkey so.

Wow, that rumor was started like 5 min ago...

It's like a giant game of telephone.

  5. First of all, NO coach in the NFL resigns unless he knows his next job is already lined up or he knows he's about to be fired.  To suggest otherwise is foolish.

As for the other statements, without more information about the source it's impossible to assess their validity.

Gray will have no problem finding another job as a DC if he wishes. I could see him quitting if his authority was stripped and he was forced to follow someone elses game plan.

It would certainly explain the vast difference between the past two years and this.

  6. Don't get me wrong, I think Mularkey should go too.

JP would have looked a lot better behind Denvers OL.

WM would not have packed it in behind Dallas' OL.

EM would have gotten a lot more receptions, with Seattle's OL.

MM wouldn't have had to game plan for 3rd and 20 because of false starts, with Indy's OL.

    Get the picture?

I understand what you are saying, but for once I wish (and really, I hate saying this) that we had a team like New England that would rally around their weaknesses. I"m not even just talking about coaching, but the whole damn team.

When the running game struggles, the WR's step up their game.

When the CB's ALL go down, the LB's and Line all step up.

They had horrible luck this season, and they rallied and are in the playoffs. They really do amaze me as a "team".

Granted, they have a coach and QB who far surpass our, but still....it's the whole team that makes them what they are.

  7. The Bills went 5-11 because TD failed to build a decent O-line in his five years here.

    552833

and becuase of injuries on defense. (and I include Tim Anderson in this)

and because of a horrible coach.

and because we have a young QB who was expected to make mistakes.

and becuase of veterans who would rather B word than play hard (Adams and Moulds)

and because of a RB who decided to say screw it and wait till next year.

and because we drafted a tiny WR with our first pick last year.

and becuase the TE we drafted to help Losman have an outlet was gone

There were many reasons we went 5-11 this year.

  8. Accurate? By your standards maybe... I'm one Fan, admittedly only one, who was totally against JP's benching...Before this Season even started I told myself numerous times we may very well struggle to get JP the experience he needs...Hope for the best, expect the worst I figured...But JP's benching had a lasting effect on the team and it forced the Locker Room to take sides...It made a hard uphill battle even harder, and now JP has a half years experience instead of a full one...Not for one second did I think the Bills were legit Contenders just because they beat up on the Texans on Opening Day...

I think a decent amount of the Fan Base was more than willing to wait it out with JP...Hey, at least when we sucked it gave us an excuse...Instead MM made the situation worse. And if anyone, anyone thinks this is not going to carry into next Season with Coach wishy-washy back, they're kidding themselves...

Get ready for more trick Plays and blaming bad luck for losses from our HC...Then Mort can find something else to blame the Fans for...

    What a joke... :D

Hey, I hate MM. I think he is the worst coach in the league. I think he did less with more than any other bottom dwelling team this year.

And he should not make one decsion based on the fans. Not one.

That said, what Mort said was accurate. The fan base was split. We wanted it both ways. And I'm sure everyone in the organization did too.

  9. First, everyone seems to judge "bills fans" by this board alone. We are not representative of every bills fan.

Second, go back into the archives and find some posts after week 2 - 3. Yes, there were those of us who hated seeing Losman benched, and there were many who wanted Holcomb in. Now look at the posts after Holcomb's first win.

Fans want it both ways and so do the coaches...Mort was right. The only problem is that he doesn't acknowledge the fact that Losman was sitting on the bench at the end of the season when playoffs were far out of reach and his injuries had heeled enough for him to play. THAT was a huge mistake by MM.

  10. Sorry if already posted.

So much for Williams being at the top of the a lot of teams wish list.

Too bad for Turner. This season is hardly all his fault. But what do you expect from Al Davis, whom we all know is the real head coach of the Raiders.

Good move for the skins and Gregg. This will give him time to gain some more experience and learn from Gibbs, and it gives Washington their next HC.

  11. No we don't.  Sorry guys but we have 3 first day DE's on the roster.  Also, if we switch to a 3-4 then Edwards projects to outside.  So I agree, no more DE's.

    551247

IF the switch to 3-4 happens, then MAYBE no B word slap. MAYBE!

It's tough to pass up on a guy like Williams either way. I'd be more willing to let Adams take his shot in the middle and let Mario and Schoebel go on the ends.

But, even if they decide to switch to a 3-4 and not take Williams, that pick better be traded.
