  1. Had a great celebration last night... but I was thinking about today's game more than anything. Been a die hard since 1990 even though I'm not a native of Western NY. I love this team and its been a great ride through 7 games. Hoping for a bday present from my Bills today!

  2. Agreed. A few of my impressions:

Chandler came back with a vengeance! He's been quiet lately, and it was nice to see Fitz find him again.

I like Spiller as a WR. It makes sure that we get used to him and on that big Pass Interference call he had the corner beat. With Jackson churning away, any way we can use him is a good thing and we may have found his niche.

Our D. Seriously. WTF. Where have these guys been for the last five games? That was magnificent!

Did anyone else's heart drop when Fitz held his ribs at the end of the second half? He looked pretty good after that though, so I hope whatever problem it was is minor.

When I saw Thigpen warming up and the ball doinked him in the head my heart sank... Really hoping that Ryan just got the wind knocked out of him

  3. - Defense came to play! Dareus had his best game as a Bill. I loved the fact they shut out the Skins, even though they're pretty banged up. Big statement game for the D - 9 sacks!!! wow

    - The offense played slightly above average. Fitz still makes untimely mistakes like the fumble and INT. But he still finished with 116QB rating. I hope his ribs are ok. Jackson is league MVP in my opinion.

    - The Toronto crowd was awfully quiet... I really hope this partnership ends and they give the Bills back their home game.

    - We gotta keep it Rolling Buffalo! Jets up next. Can't wait!

  4. I like the new jersey's, I like the fact that the end zones will be blue... But, I'm starting to realize how much I'll miss the red on the helmets. Also, I was really hoping for Red End Zones again. How awesome would that look? I hope the new end zones look good, but I don't think you can beat the red.

  5. I went the first two years. The first year for both the pre-season and regular season game I sat in the upper deck and was surrounded by the visiting team fans. The second year I sold my upper deck seat and instead got a seat in Sightlines Restaurant. Cost was $250/CAN (alcohol extra $$$) at that time, and what was nice was you make your reservation, but they don't charge your credit card till the day of the game. Whitney Knowles who is mentioned on the page was my contact person. It was worth it in my opinion.

If you're thinking of staying overnight, when I was there, I stayed at the Intercontinetal which happened to be the same hotel the Bills used. It's a couple blocks from Rogers Centre so it was an easy walk to and from the game.

Here was the view from my seat....

Thanks for the info. What is the price range for tickets? Last I heard it was $250? Although, I thought they might have lowered the price somewhat?

  6. Hey fella's,

I need your input. A bunch of my friends who are Redskins fans want to check out the Toronto game on 10/30. Anyone ever been to one of these? Any tips/advice?

I'm angry they chose this game for the series. I was hoping to come to Buffalo!!

  7. Say what you will, but it certainly does provide Brady with some extra motivation. How much is the only question. These players are human. There's a reason why Belichick is best known for his paint-dryingly boring, "no bulletin board" material pressers, because what's the sense of stirring the pot? There is none. He knows some players get hot and bothered by what you say about them.

Suggs just provided the Pats fuel for their fire. Again, how much is impossible to judge, but it sucks that he did say that because it'll be hard enough to win this game without anything negative being said about Brady.

Michael Jordan was notorious for using the littlest things said as a huge motivation.

Well Brady started this by not voting for Suggs...nothing wrong with competitive hatred. Remember Brian Cox?

  8. Either way, getting out of the Cover 2 and getting some big bodies like Troup, Carrington, Edwards, etc. is going to help in the long run whether we run the 3-4, 4-3, or most likely a 3-4/4-3 hybrid which we are basically playing now.

You know, I was thinking -- what's wrong with going with a hybrid? It'll keep us versatile on defense. Infact it could be a new scheme onto it's own. Do you see any additional advantages in a hybrid approach?

Pretty much just a shot at Brady but it still says a little something about Fitz if Suggs is choosing him ahead of the other AFC QB's that he played.

That pretty much made me like the Ravens and Suggs a lot more -- even though I'm supposed to like them anyway being from MD. I really hope the Ravens crush them in the play offs like last year.

  10. So... New England week... What will our Bills do this time? Do we have enough to pull off a win, or will the Bills break our hearts by losing in the final minutes, or not show up at all? This has been really the only two options the Bills have given us for the past 8 years with this team.

I'm actually really looking forward to this one. I think the Bills will play competitive and keep it close. If the ball bounces our way, we may pull off the upset...my prediction Bills 24 Patriots 23.

  11. For better and wqrse, I think our work against the Pats* was the wake up call that got that d@mn group moving their butts and playing like they are!

I wanted to revisit this thread. Another good win by the Bills. I think the Dolphins were the only winning team we've beaten this year. The Pats will be a huge test for us. Let's keep this train moving in the right direction. A close game won't be good enough -- it's time to beat the PATS.

    Go Bills!!

  12. Well, I'm happy with today's win. It was a nice comeback game from the Vikings defeat last week. But the next 3 weeks will be the season's biggest test. Can we win division games?? We have the Dolphins, Pats and Jets coming up. I predict we win at least 1 of the next 3....

    Go Bills!

  13. 11/28 PITTSBURGH STEELERS L (though close I think)

    12/05 @ Minnesota Vikings W

    12/12 CLEVELAND BROWNS W

    12/19 @ Miami Dolphins W

12/26 NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS W (this is my "upset" pick)

    01/02 @ New York Jets L

Just my thoughts ... what do you think? Given a 0-8 start a 6-10 season would has to be considered a huge step forward (except for those who want a top 3 draft pick).

It's tough to say, but I know that the Bills have a shot every week. It looks like the light has come on for these guys. They're turning into a resilient bunch. I predict 5-11... I'd take 8-8 also.

  14. I really hope that the Bills sell out this game. Pittsburgh fans will surely gobble up tickets - but I hope our fans show up. Steeler fans travel really well. It would be great to have a play-off like atmosphere at The Ralph and give our guys a boost against a potential Super Bowl contender.

    Go Bills!
