  1. I agree with the original post. I'll add that Marrone is very steady and does not get too high or too low from week-to-week. The players see this and I believe they respect him. This team needs better guards and a new offensive coordinator next year and it could be very good. To ascend they will need to beat down the Patriots. Tom Brady won't go away until a team in the division shows him they aren't the best anymore.

  2. I was waiting for these threads....

Not a chance. My guess is they lose to the Jets, Dolphins, and Browns and will be 6-6 entering that game in Denver.

I agree this is a 500 team. The Jets game should scare the hell out of the coaching staff. If they want to be retained the team better show well against that train wreck.

  3. And your point?

Brilliant. The IQ level on this board never ceases to amaze me. What I am proposing is to punish the owners and players for what they are doing right now. The way to do that is not to watch the games or buy tickets or merchandise. Any time a group of people does that,it sends a powerful economic message. Once they see the result of what they have done and how it has hurt them economically, they will think twice about ever having a work stoppage again.

Okay, I'm in. I will attend no games next year. watch no tv next football season, not eat out or drive a car on Sunday, I also will not go to church where I pray the bills will not suck. Please tell me what else I can do to support your initiative? I agree everyone else on this board is soooo stupid.

  4. Actually, most QB's of average stock play their best fresh out of the gate. The league is a copycat league, and until there is film on a player he can look a lot better than he really is. For reference, see Losman, Collins, Johnson, Edwards, even Bledsoe in the Bills offense for two games. For Tebo, the teams will start playing the run and dare him to beat them with his arm.....

  5. Someone needs to tell KC that the Bills go shot-gun with an empty back field on third and one. This is a pass first team, so it makes sense they pass to keep the clock moving and gain first downs.

Also, Trent needed the confidence. The first half the Bills scored a lot of points, but not because of Trent's throwing. I thought the third and first half of the fourth was all about getting Trent back in a rythm. The bills could have put up 70, if they played the whole fourth.

  6. He has a track record of losing the games that count the most (which shows he can't coach or win in the big game).

Good point. I remeber the good ole' days when the Bills could win a big game.... Gosh, we haven't won a big game since last week...

  7. This team was in position to win mid way through the third quarter. Did Jauron throw interceptions and fumble the ball? No.

Every team has a day when they don't execute as well as expected. Chalk it up to a road loss. It happens to even very good teams a few times a year. Especially when you are facing divisional rivals.

  8. I think if this team is going to make the palyoffs. Trent needs to play solid mistake free ball, Lynch needs to wear down defenders by hitting them in the face, Evans needs to make game changing plays, the special teams need to be solid at all phases, and the D needs to make stops when we need them.

So basically, the team needs to keep doing what it has been, with the exception of one of the first five games.

  9. And to be honest, I think 80% of the Qb's hit there get up with no problem and play the next play, except Trent is frail, always has been and was one of his knocks coming out of college. He is going to be a great QB in my opinnion, but his durability is yet to be shown.

I disagree. A concussion has nothing to do with being injury prone. Trent has weathered some tough shots this year and has prooven to be fairly elusive and quick with his decisions in the pocket.

  10. When you are a lineman and you are beaten you push the rusher outside away from the pocket so that the rusher over shoots the QB. In Peter's defense, he has not played with a quaterback this year that is running backwards out of the back of the pocket. Edwards steps up in the pocket. I think Peter's has stunk this year, but wouldn't make too much out of that play.

  11. I agree with Big Bad Boone, Royal kinda threw the ball down when he was getting twisted back. The ground didnt cause the ball to come out. He just slamed it down like a dumb A$$.

You are correct. It looked like the ball caused the fumble from the wide camera shot because Royal let go of the ball so abruptly. Seemed to me he got scared because he was bending in an awkward fashion. The closeup shot shows him tossing the ball prior to him touching the ground with the ball. Just a weak play by Royal.
