  1. I remember being in court once on a pretty big case (plaintiff was a quad) where we argued over whether or not a booklet handed out in a seminar was a "course notebook" or an "instruction manual".  The book itself was titled, in bold letters right on the cover, "Highway Design Course Notebook" but had no blank pages for notes.  After careful study and consulting a dictionary, the Judge ruled that it had been misnamed by its authors and was henceforth officially an "instruction manual".

ahh yes...Tort Reform! That is for another thread. :P

  2. It exists.  The right calls it that because that's pretty much what it is.  The baby is in the canal and they suck it's brain out.  Really a beautiful procedure, in that Rwandan slaughter kind of way.

The lefties call it "Dialation extraction" because that sounds alot better to the Hot Pocket's crowd.

I am aware of Partial Birth Abortion..the term and what it is. But this must be a new stratosphere for liberals to try and cover up an act of slaughter by using a term like, "Dialation Extraction"?

    Incredible. :P

  3. Jeanene Garafolo just stated that "Partial Birth Abortion" does not exist.

She said it is a made up term for the purpose of convincing people to vote a certain way.

She did say however that there was something called, "Dialation Extraction".

Can anyone tell me if she was serious?????

On a less serious side...I think someone should tell her that anorexia is not a good look on her. Quick! Someone get the girl a cheesburger and tie her hands behind her back!

  4. I believe he would work with Congress on bills and push for them to be passed as legislation.

For all your complaints, I have to say this:  Bush has had four years to do plenty and all he has to say is that more people own houses and he has a lot of plans to introduce new programs.

    1) If these programs are such great ideas, where have they been the past 4 years?

    2) If these programs are not just campaign promise BS that plays well with the mom vote, how the hell are we going to pay for them when we are in TWO WARS and cutting taxes?!  This stevestojan is magic.

With all due respect I didn't ask what "Runthedamnball" thinks Kerry might do....

As far as what Bush has accomplished in 4 years....I know you won't agree with this, but they inherited a recession 4 years ago coming out of a booming economy that was built on a house of cards called the dot.com phenomenon.

THEN...9 months in, the financial district of the nation was attacked and I would think that kind of action would lead to a bump in the progress of the economy....which seems to be in recovery now. Remember...that when Regan took office it took 4+ years for that administration to turn the economy around....but given time, it succeeded.

  5. I drafted Vick, and then grabbed Green as an insurance policy against the risk of Vick struggling in a new system/getting injured again.  I felt good about it at the time, but right now I'm the one struggling with whom to start on week 1.  I'm partially inclined to start Green and take a wait-and-see approach with Vick.  However, I'll have a tough time benching a guy like Vick who could easily blow up.  Any thoughts?

It is hard for me to sit a QB on a Monday Night, (Chiefs at Broncos), but, Vick is at the 49ers and right now, the 49ers "D" has a couple of injuries that could make Vick look like a Pro Bowl QB.

  6. If you get a chance log onto Imus' website and listen to this interview. It should be up on the site by late in the afternoon.

GHWB was very colorful. I had never seen/heard that much personality come from him. It is too bad....these guys can't relax and allow their true personalities to be seen all of the time.

When asked about his son questioning his roll and decisions during the Kuwait war, he said, (paraphrasing)...."well sure quite frankly I was hurt. (pause) But you havn't heard him say it again have ya?" (laughter)

They would all be much more likable if they are honest.

  7. Will Kerry's quote of, " I voted for it before I voted against it",

    ...be his Willie Horton?

Will it be Bush 41's "Read my lips" ?

Is it possible that a single quote or a single event can cost a candidate the election?

I am not talking about those who follow a close party affiliation. But for those who are "undecideds" that only begin paying attention when the conventions begin and the debates take place....Kerry is in bigger trouble than Bush.

  8. I love pro football and only have a religious affiliation with one team - the Bills, but given that choice I would have to give up the NFL.  The alternative would be to give up the NCAA basketball tournament in March, the Masters on CBS (just a wonderful spring experience), the playoffs and the World Series (I used to be a baseball junkie, but have soured, but I am not ready to give up the great series when they come around), the Olympics (I don't care about all of it, but there are always moments), spring training, the occasional great NBA series, and waking up hungover on January 1 for a full day of bowl games you don't particularly care about but would miss if they were not there.

It would mean 20 weeks of sports and 32 without.  32 weeks of x-games, NASCAR and strong man competitions.  The only way hell could be worse would be a 24 hour per day Jim Rome show, annoying female play-by-play announcers, the only TV station being a 24 hour all-hip-hop music channel and the Mime network.

I would have a hard time giving up the NCAA Tourney too! But the good thing about just Football....is that you can have 6 months of actually being a somewhat productive member of society in the late winter and spring.

  9. I am not sure what the fan base on the wall is like....so here is a question for you:

If you had to choose between being able to watch only the NFL and no other Sports (MLB, NBA, NHL, Olympic Womens Volleyball <_< ...etc..) for the rest of your life...

    or

Watch all other sports and no NFL...

    Which would you choose??

For me it is an easy choice. I would take the NFL by itself in a heartbeat.

  10. that is the best roster i have seen posted yet.

the only weekness is kicker. Elling might get cut before week one. do you get to make roster moves once the season starts?

TE could be a better, but Clark has potential to have a big year.

  11. I am a conservative. I am little right of right wing.

I cannot stand to watch Hannity & Colmes because Sean Hannity is like watching a little "nancy" in elementary school fight like a sissy. He is a relentless mud slinger.

So,....my point is I stayed away from watching FOX news last night because I thought I would take a chance and watch MSNBC. I figured I would watch with an open mind and not allow myself to be influenced by the FOX talking heads.

Do some of you lefties REALLY not believe that the mainstream media isn't liberal???

I would bet a million dollars that if you looked into Tom Brokaw's check register you would see a big check having been written to the Kerry Campaign. This guy is a whore for the Democratic party.

Ron Regan? This clown needs to come out of the closet and get counseling.

  12. But didn't Garcia/Owens play a large part in carrying the Niners offense to the red zone so that Barlow could carry your team to the Super Bowl?  I'm not doubting Barlow as much as I'm doubting every other part of that offense.

    11972[/snapback]

I would say you are underestimating the ability of Tim Rattay and the OL in SF. Both are "ok" not horrible as you have indicated. Also...Brandon Lloyd is the sleeper WR of the draft. He will be a solid weapon that will draw some attention away from Barlow.
