  1. Wow! How drunk are you guys when watching Witner play!!!??? He's a complete liability out there! He is a bust and he should be the next player traded or cut. Just take a look at the stats of the last TE's we have played. M. Lewis - 2 TD's D. Keller - 2 TD's He hasn't covered a TE his whole career. He is pathetic in pass coverage and occasionally has a big hit only to whiff on a tackle for a long TD the next play - See LT 2 weeks ago. I like his bravado and his opinions because "losing" does effect him. I like the fact he is not afraid to back away from the hard questions etc... But he sucks! End of story.
  2. LOL! 20 years is a bit much. Let's say 10-15. My bad.
  3. I'm a die hard. Don't let the number of posts be the "meassuring stick" I have surfed this board for over 20 years. I came out of the woodwork because as Bills fans we are all feeling down or maybe even high. But being a Bills fan is like no other... there is a bond we can embrace or neglect. But at the end of the day, everyone whether good or bad wants the team to do well. I am hoping Gailey is that guy even though I am not drinking the Kool-aid. I"ll give him a chance. The alternative is not in my DNA. I am the Bills, I live eat and breathe this team. There is no alternative.
  4. Chan Gailey: Really? This is what we expected when the Bills interviewed Shanahan, courted Gruden and made an offer to Cowher? Our owner said he was going to do everything he could to turn the franchise around and we decided that Chan Gailey was the “guy”? 10 million could not buy us a better coach? Wow… I don’t need to tell you guys how much of a fan I am. I breathe Bills football. I have faked taking a **** in order to watch games… shame and all, I don’t miss Bills games. Not ONE in over 20 years! Our fans are as loyal as they get. We sold out every game this year despite 10 years without making the playoffs. We play in elements in which it would better (and is) to stay home. We give the team undying passion, loyal following and benefit of the doubt. But this hire was another example of Ralph simply giving us the “grab your ankles treatment”. We hired Phillips (the best coach we had since Marv Levy), Williams, Mularky, Jauron and now Gailey. Is there a name in there that is inspiring? Ridiculous! I keep thinking of the movie “ Buffalo 66” in which Vincent Gallo attempts to kill the kicker that cost the Bills the Superbowl. Substitute Vincent’s character for a delusional fan and I can’t wait for the day he chokes on his heart (Ralph Wilson). Yes I said it! F em! Ralph owed us more. He has not moved the team (he is loyal to Buffalo ) but we also never gave up hope. We suddenly became the Raiders of the East. What’s worse is we could have hired a coach that could have brought us respectability but once again our owner let his “meddling” get in the way. http://espn.go.com/blog/afceast/post/_/id/...anted-bills-gig So… where do we go from here? I’ve always said that cheering for a team is like a marriage. You have good years and bad. In the case of the Bills, she has gained 50 pounds and started chain smoking. You keep hoping she can get that glitter back again but you begin to wonder what the hell happened. How did it get this bad? Should I begin to stray? The answer is simple – No. But… I will not drink the kool-aid this time. I will not be convinced that Gailey is a good hire (we should have kept Fewell and hired Gailey as OC) nor will I buy into the spin machine coming from One Bills Drive . How do you not interview Billick, Grimm, Fassel anyone… Bueller, Bueller, Bueller? The Bills are now the Raiders of the east. The laughing stock of the NFL. But without them I am lost. I cannot predict how this hire plays out. I see it as every NFL fan does… a joke. But I will get drunk, get pissed off, watch a game tape from 1992 and think to myself... “Maybe they know something we don’t” but instead I keep thinking that I pray for the day that Ralph kicks the bucket or someone else crazier than Vincent Gallo decides that the character from Buffalo 66 is a possibility. Tonight I drink, vent, kick my dog, question my loyalty and most of all decide whether being a Bills fan is worth it? The bottom line is…I know that winning one Superbowl will make my entire fan experience the absolute single most exhilarating moment that any NFL fan can ever have. Let’s go Gailey! Pass me the kool-aid. I suck and I know it. Ball Hawk
  5. Are any of the Local news stations covering the press conference at 2PM?
  6. This story came out of nowhere. The fact we never heard him being interviewed is surprising. I have no reason to doubt Casserly but it has yet to be truly acknowledged.
  7. I've been a quiet observer of Two Bills Drive and many other similar sites for many years, but have never posted myself. I'm basically too lazy and only view the latest posts. I was turned off by the "haters" as well as the negativity created many years ago when sports talk radio made these boards a trash talking site instead of what the were meant to be - a site where Bills fans can argue, debate and talk about our passion but with the same goal in mind - WIN. Now everyone wants to be the next Jim Rome host and pick a side rather then discuss the true merits of how we can get better, good or bad. My only beef is.. if you don't want to listen to Joe, Sal and Pat then don't. But their opinions and insight have created a stir on these boards and generated debate. Love them or hate them, they are now the story with every 2nd post being what they say. Bottom line - they are creating interest which is better then the alternative and first time in 20 years, I am posting.
  8. Yes of coarse.. let's all jump ship even though Ralph has tried to bring in every bring name coach, hired a real GM and is basically taking a huge financial hit by never leaving the Buffalo area. Let's all stop buying jerseys and tickets. Can we do better - yes. But let's not get carried away. This mess was built over many years. Ralph is "trying" to get us out. But after 15 years of bad decisions (letting Butler go...) we are paying for it. We won't get the name coach we want. But we finally have a football man making decisions (Nix). Let him hire the next Levy. In the meantime... I hear the Cowboys bandwagon is taking passengers. Go ahead and take the leap. You're already there. Ball Hawk
  9. Let me start off by saying I love the Bills. No questions about it. I eat, breathe and live the Bills. I read every article and have not missed a Bills game in over 20 years - I am nearly 40. So... why are we obsessed with Joe Logan and Coach Sal. Simple - we know how important this next Bills hire is. We understand the significance of this hire. We are at a crossroads and every Bills fan is pinning their hopes on the Bills being able to turn the tide and make our team relevant again. As a comparison.. the Bills are a marriage. You have good years and bad. Well, we have seen our Bills chain smoke and gain 50 pounds in the last 10 years. We desperately need them to hit the tread mill. But we still love them. The passion of Bills fans is unquestioned. So... how important is this Bills search? It is so important that this message board and many more are quoting and posting "news" from 2 guys we have never heard of until now. I personally have watched Coach Sal and Joe Logan's Ustreams, signed up to their tweets and even passed along their quotes even though one way or another I have no idea how credible they are. And you know what... so what!!!??? Give me hope. Give me laughs. This may be a wild goose chase. I give these guys credit for putting their reputations out there. Providing us any news they can get. In the end it may all be for naught. But, what else do we have? I'd do cartwheels if we landed Cowher. In fact I may even send Joe Logan my personal letter to Bill Cowher (as he suggested in his latest article). What have we got to lose? Pat Moran has done his job, what have we done? "Oh there goes R&R again!" Really? Tell me you atleast haven't enjoyed listening to the possibility of us landing Cowher even though deep down you are thinking... "If that happens, I will run into incoming traffic and jump from the Niagara bridge." All I know is that I check my email, twitter, twobillsdrive every hour at work, on my i-phone, while taking a dump because I keep thinking just maybe.... In closing, quit whining and enjoy the ride. I personally have appreciated the updates from Joe Logan, Coach Sal and Pat Moran. At the end of the day, they are fans like us. What have you done to make your voice heard? Kudos boys. The dream of Cowher may be dead. But hope is alive and well. Ball Hawk
  10. B.S. Not saying this is not true, but from a public relations disaster, the Bills have to interview one more person even if it is Wayne Fontes so that fans don't perceive the Shottenhiemer rejection today as "settling". C'mon folks this is like a presidential campaign, do you think they go through with this after today? I'm not saying we don;t hire Frazier but I guarentee we interview more coaches so that we give the impression we canvassed everyone we could, rather than just who would interview. Ball Hawk
  11. Bills Vet - I agree with what you are saying and the rose colored glasses fans are due for a big let down but I give them credit. The passion is unwavering. We have seen this franchise run itself right into the ground. But... the owner has "stepped" up this year. We are paying for past mistakes. It is up to Nix to right the ship. When I first heard that we were hiring Nix, I was floored - REALLY? But when I heard him talk, he nailed every single concern I had - The O-line, not re-signing "our" players, injuries and the training staff, finding a coach to fit the system (bye-bye cover 2!!!), he nailed it! Crushed it. I was sold. Let's give this guy a chance. He saw us play for a year after being in San Diego. His drafts are bullet proof. Give this guy the benefit of the doubt. It's easy for Bills fans to "jump on board" even if there is no merit. See Russ Brandon. But in the case of Nix, we have a talent evaluator. His first job, find a talented coach even if it is not the name everyone wants to hear - we created this mess, it's up to Nix to get us out. This is the last hire Wilson will ever make, it may be his legacy. Something tells me Nix won't disappoint.
  12. Maruicci and Jauron are very close. I'd be surprised if Maruicci would consider the Bills "if" Jauron does not endorse it. In other words speaks highly of Brandon, Nix and Wilson.
  13. Billick dissed the Bills on NFL network.. "who would want to coach the Bills?" That statement may have made it's way to One Bills Drive and therefore the Bills are not interviewing out of spite (which would be wrong). Announcers are like lemmings and since the Bills are the joke of the day, Billick is following suit (Tom Donohoe when asked as an ESPN inside on who to start - Flutie or Johnson, said "Who is winning?" Well needless to say he cut Flutie. Being in the media on the outside is competely different. I'm not sure why Nix is not interviewing Billick but hopefully it is not because we feel "dissed" by what Billick said. Although based on Nix's demeanor.. I think he has thick skin. It may not be a fit. Ball Hawk
