I haven't posted in awhile and I know it's not cool to be self-promotional but I think this is the sort of thing will interest some of you. If not, so be it... sorry for wasting your time. If yes, check it out.
I wanted a QB's perspective on the power of a dominant D line so I got in touch with former St. Francis and Naval Academy star (and NFL QB) Jim Kubiak to join me on a podcast to talk about the potential impact of the Bills' front 4. We also get into things like the relationships between positional coaches and their players, the Nix/Gailey plan, and even touch briefly on UB's stud RB Branden Oliver.
I got to know Jim when we worked together on UB broadcasts a couple of years ago and I think you'll appreciate his insight. It's a good podcast... and that has absolutely nothing to do with me.
-
I'll explain. A front 4 with those guys is worthy of a comic book superhero storyline. First they crush Eli in a Super Bowl victory when the Giants kickers misses wide left. Then they crush RGbust in a second straight SB victory. The next saga is beating the hell out of Romo en route to another SB victory. And finally the clincher. They knock Romo out cold and beat Orton for their fourth straight Super Bowl victory, heroicly righting all the wrongs of the 90's. And they do this while fighting crime in every city they play.
I'll admit that I don't read these boards nearly as often as I used to but if this is the type of content that is being churned out, I'm coming back.
This is the part where someone with animation skills is supposed to take this idea and turn it into the greatest online Bills video of all time.
Go!

As mentioned, Sully's on IR as he recovers from hip replacement surgery. However, he was on WGR this morning.
As he says, it may be the painkillers talking but, relatively speaking, he sounds practically giddy.

Also, if I get my way, we'll have a current WGR employee on the show tomorrow night, too.
I doubt it will happen that quickly though... we'll probably have to wait until Friday to get him.

WECK 1230 Webcast link
From the Riter Radio blog: "Brad Riter, Scott Wilson and Bob Gaughan don’t pretend to be NFL Draft experts. They just watch a lot of college football. "
Those three will be in the studio for Round 1 of the draft, with Buffalo News beat writer and "Sports Insiders" co-host Allen Wilson chiming in from Ralph Wilson Stadium. Brad says, "I promise it'll be the best coverage in WNY."
Also, add ESPN.com's Tim Graham to the lineup.

Dang I missed this. I was using Mozilla and the player wouldn't come up. I tried IE later and it worked because it was too late, the show was over. Is "the Coach" on a regular show? I know he was a few years ago. I talked to him once after game to say that I thought Alex Van Pelt may be a better choice at QB than Clod Tollins.
Please let us know if he's going to be on again and I'll try to listen to it. I don't always agree with him, but he is funny.

Someone was asleep at the switch at WECK. Brad: What do yo think of TO? Coach: A pure unadulterated !@#$! Came through loud and clear!
It came through on the web stream, but not on the air.
No problem.

They're still on, PTR. Not sure about the podcast.
Yes, it's up.

The show gets hijacked by MJ's death, but, that said, I defy you to provide a link to better show that went on while that news came down.
TG is the man... and he's versatile.

GR can do whatever they like.
Ruben and I will be across the street at the Big Tree Inn for the MNF pregame when the Browns come to town.

Good friends of mine, Matt and Tammy Hladun, are going through a very tough time with their youngest son, 3 month old Willem.
They have set up a blog to tell their story and I hope some of you will check it out. They recently got some very good news (see the post from this past Wednesday night.)
More than 50,000 people around the world have visited the site to read the story of Brave Will.
They've also been featured recently on WNYT-TV Channel 13 in Albany. Here's a link to that video and story.

If there's ever been a thread that not only deserves deletion, but also deserves consideration for assassination of the poster, it's this one. (I don't actually mean that.)
Is there a happier sound in the world than the those first few notes?
Why do you want to deny us our happiness? Why do you want to take our joy away?

Hey, man, thanks alot! The very first one w/ Gabe Northern was the best but I'll listen to them all regardless.
There were actually several before the one w/ Gabe, but I think that was the first full 2-hour version. You can go back through the site for the older ones (including 8/11/08 when Ruben predicted a 5-0 start for the Bills.)

Just a reminder that the new show (9/29/08) is up.

I've got 2 tix for the sold out Watchmen reunion show @ Horseshoe in Toronto. I've gotta be at the airport at noon so if you're in Buffalo and can use them and have $40 (to prevent me from giving them to a friend who is heading up there and asking him to sell them outside), email me at bradonweck@gmail.com.
Thanks.

This week vs Oakland and Nov 30 vs 49ers
Just came here to see if this was posted anywhere and it is. The press release came out yesterday confirming these two dates.
-
Not a big basketball fan, but that could have been a very entertaining show. Do you know if that broadcast available on the net and where to find it? I did a quick search but didn't find it.
There's no way it exists. It's from years ago before EVERYTHING wound up online.

how do i get the entire shows each night? all i can get from tonight is a clip of art wander and the insurance company phone call...how do i get the entire show to listen to? can someone help me please?
The entire show streams live and I post segments of it that I think people might want to hear. I don't have time or room to post the whole thing every night, but if you scroll through the site, you'll find hours of stuff to pass the time.

My bad, I thought your starting a thread called "Art Wander" implied that you thought it was "newsworthy."
Nope, I was pretty sure I was on a message board.
If you think you hate the Patriots now, listen to this...

Thanks, bbb.
The book is very interesting. It comes from the perspective of a jaded fan who is frustrated by the fact that Spygate just sort of went away. In the process of setting up the interview, I wrote to the author and told him that I appreciate that went as far as he did to essentially yell "WHY AREN'T WE STILL TALKING ABOUT THIS?"
He presents facts and then speculates around them so there's certainly a conspiracy element to it. I'm not typically a conspiracy guy but in this case I am so it hit the mark for me.
