  1. EJ aside, I would like to know why this team refuses to draft QB's in the early to mid rounds. That's the reason we never have depth at the position. Who knows, maybe a QB taken outside of the first round would work out to be a "franchise qb", i.e. Russell Wilson, Kaepernick. Even the Patsies pick up qb's in the draft!!!

So you admit you are a hater. Just own it.

Like some here, you hated the pick and you will dog the man cause you didn't like the pick. It doesn't take much getting used to. The internet is full of fools like yourself who are so invested in their initial opinion, they can't be objective about the play of the player.

I don't know if EJ will be successful. But I'm going to give him a chance. There are things he does well, and some he does not. But he is still a puppy in this league. One thing I think I know. It's really easy to predict a player will fail (more fail than become great). I'd suggest you hold off on your evaluation until the guy has a chance to prove himself...one way or another. But I know that this is a waisted sentiment on those of your ilk.

You're going to turn to name calling??? Please, "The Dean", it's not befitting your title!!! I'm not going to stoop to your level with all of your "hate.". And, by the way, Dean, it's "wasted." .

  2. You know EJ looked pretty good his 1st preseason game as a rookie, too. Right? Tuel looked really good in preseason last year, too.

There's a difference between criticizing someone and being a hater. It just so happens you come off like a hater.

I hate the pick, not the player. Until EJ proves himself a solid starter, he's gonna be criticized so get used to it.

  3. These days you can't criticize anybody without being a "hater." It's designed to shut people up who disagree. I believe EJ is a great guy who is very humble and a true gentleman. However, performance wise, I see a guy who is still staring down his receivers. After the snap, you and the defense knows exactly where he's throwing the ball!!! It's frustrating to watch.

  4. Three years?

Three wasted years waiting on a QB to prove beyond any doubt they can start in the NFL. Meantime, in the interest of not creating a "quarterback controversy" we pass on other opportunities to pickup ANY QB earlier than the 7th round or UDFA's.

I was curious what TJ Graham had to do with this thread also.

Graham was the player we traded back into the 3rd round to get instead of Russell Wilson

  5.

EJ can be mediocre and this team is still built to make the playoffs.

I disagree, last year the good defenses we played had no respect for EJ's ability to make the throws down field and stacked the box. This was a big reason that Spiller's big play ability disappeared in a lot of games. Even if we have the best receiving corps in the league, our passing game will be lousy if we don't have a QB that can deliver the ball. Our defense should be good, but we're not talking 85 Bears or Ravens of the late 90's.

I just hope that EJ stays healthy this year. Based on what I saw of him last year, he is indecisive, lacks accuracy, is unable to anticipate his receivers breaks and has poor pocket presence. Based on the long list of QB's we've had with similar problems as rookies, I believe the likelihood he will overcome them is very small. The difference is that EJ has great running ability which can mask these flaws, but is also a reason he is injury prone.

I want EJ to have every opportunity to prove himself, yea or nay, so the Bills can stick with him or begin thinking about a backup plan. An injury will keep the team and fans in a holding pattern for another year to find out if he is our "franchise quarterback."

  6. I don't think many people have a problem with something that'd be equivalent to that... like say the Florida Seminoles. The problem is "redskin" is a racist term for Native Americans/American Indians. Its kinda like someone a n*gger, sand n*gger, wetback, yellow, etc etc etc.

Hey dork, the term redskin refers to the red war paint they put on their faces.

  7. You are such a tool OC. I have been pretty up front, in this thread that I don't like Trump for political reasons.

I forgot the orgasms you bring yourself to by fantasizing that you are dressing people down with your incoherent picture stories. I was the first one to mention political bias as a factor in judging Trumps appeal as owner of our team. So wtf is your point? No wait, please don't bother trying to sketch an answer to that.

But, tell me without a bunch of smiley faces that you are doing anything different. You are a tool. (I said it so it is fact..the OC method of debate...sounds like somebody) So, you really think Trump is the best option for our team...or are you just feeling the need to argue with someone? Seriously.

Who's the tool?? How bout the clown to the left and those such as yourself who worship him.

  8. That's interesting. If EJ were a second round pick, or better yet, the 4th round pick that all the "experts" pegged him as, what would you be pleased as piss about, exactly? Seriously, I want to know what positives would be missing just because he was a mid-1st round pick but would still be there if he were picked at 41.

    GO BILLS!!!

If he was picked in the 4th round, where he should have been, then we'd have used a mid round pick to get an adequate back up qb which is all that EJ will ever be.

  9. Manuel IS a franchise qb for a very bad franchise. It's a perfect fit. If they compound their mistake by skipping on a legitimate first round qb in this draft, I will be even more emotionally detached from this team if that were actually possible. Don't blame the line. The defense knows he can't hit the long ball, so they just pin their ears back and go after him.

  10. Manuel will have ups and downs for the next three years showing great promise one week and remarkable ineptitude the next. He will ultimately prove himself incapable of contributing enough to make this an exceptional offense. He will also miss numerous games every year because of injury. We will again be shopping for a qb in three years in the meantime we will lose many of our defensive talent. It's the Bills' way.
