  1. LOL so yesterday I got an email from "DIRECTV" stating they are offering me Sunday Ticket at no extra charge, no strings attached, just click on the link...looked legit, like all the other emails I get from them. No way, I thought, must be a phishing scam...so I called them, actually called them twice, because I didn't believe the first person, but apparently it's true! Dude said "yep it's on your account, Sunday Ticket, no charge"...damn! that's pretty nice, didn't have to do any dance this year! I'm planning to call next week to see if I can get any other discounts since my $50 a month credit just expired! Woo Hoo!!!

Can confirm, I received this too and activated it. I had free Sunday Ticket my first year with them but didn't have it the past two years. If you have DTV I suggest checking your email as I generally ignore them.

    This was the fine print for the offer;

    Times must have changed.

Mind you it was 15 years ago roughly when I worked there so maybe its changed or maybe us Canadians are just too damn lazy to crack an egg.

Or my franchise owner was an awful person

Been 17 years since my high school job days but it was real eggs for me too. Crack 6 at a time in the round molds, put the lid on, a little water in the top to steam and set the timer. The eggs for the biscuit sandwich's came premixed in a milk carton though.

  3. I saw this on facebook, but didn't know it was Maisel's son.................Wouldn't they be able to tell by the footprints?

A guy from Niagara County a few weeks ago walked to the water's edge and then the footprints stopped. They had a memorial mass for him last week, even though they haven't found the body yet. There was just nowhere else he could have went but the water.

Doubtful, if he went out on the pier a lot of people go out there all winter long. Probably hundreds of footprints and packed down.

  4. I have 37% on the front windows of my SUV with 20% in the rear (rear is legal, front isn't). My wife has 37% all around her car. Enough to darken it up a bit and keep the harsh light out but not enough for the cops to care about us. Haven't been pulled over with it on for 7 years. If you're going for the dark look you'll want at least 20% though which will make you stand out.

My trooper buddy says he'll give a tint ticket instead of a speeding or moving violation if someone isn't being an !@#$, so it can actually help you save some cash in certain situations.

If you can't find a good place in Buffalo check out this guy in Rochester. High quality and by far the cheapest price I was able to find. May actually be worth the drive depending on the quotes you can get in Buffalo.

  5. I can't wait to see the current generation of children enter the workforce. It should be extremely entertaining reading about all the lawsuits and complaints when they have to compete for, and are turned down for a job, are forced to take a test for a license, or work one minute more than 8 hours in a day. Hopefully the zombie apocalypse happens prior to that.

So in other words exactly like the union generation? Every generation says the same thing about the next, yet the older group fails to see who was at the wheel when the economy was driven into the ground and our kids futures were mortgaged.

  6. watch out for the most poisonous snakes in the world

Not going to tell him about the drop bears? Somebody should.

  7. Can someone please explain to me why this is so popular? I'm watching it for the first time and I haven't been this annoyed in a long time.

    It's like a freak porno.

    Is it just me?

From a purely film standpoint it's horrible, but that's not why it's fun. The midnight showings with live actors are a blast. Go to the bar, knock back a few drinks then head to the movie with a bunch of friends and just let loose. Uptight people need not apply.

Wow, better than Dino BBQ, that's a bold statement. This is worth investigating further, because Dino is my favorite restaraunt out of anywhere, but I go to the Syracuse one, not Rochester.

Yes, much better. The Rochester one has gone downhill IMO. I've had multiple bad meals at Dino, never a bad one at sticky lips.

  9.

We have 2 urinals (with a wall; one low, one high) and 3 crappers. If I'm pissing and a guy comes in and grabs the middle stall, I just shake my head. Personally, I'm all about the handicap stall, for maximum room. However ... you gotta take the bad with the good ... handicap stall doors open outward. If some a-hole slams his stall door hard enough, it can make other stall doors open. Not much of a deal if the door opens inward. If it opens outward, you need to literally stand up, take two steps and grab the door to close it. And the wall of mirrors is directly across the crappers ....

Right after the bathroom is cleaned I'd never take the middle stall. But by the end of the day it's almost always the cleanest one so I saddle up with pride.

  10. Called for a couple car accidents. Once for a friend that took a bottle pills after drinking heavily. Called the DEC on illegal hunters on the weekend who said to call 911.

Only rude operator I've had though was when I called on a bunch of teens. These teens had been ringing doorbells for weeks, harassing people and hitting cars with a football in a townhouse parking lot. Attempts to talk to them and the parents failed. One day I finally had enough and called the non-emergency number to see if someone could come out and give them a little scare. The officer I talked to told me to call 911 and report it otherwise it wouldn't get dispatched. I even stated it wasn't an emergency but he said to call anyways. When I called the operator was a total B word saying this shouldn't be a call to 911 and started berating me. I was already in a bad mood at the time so I told her "go ask your coworker down the hall why they told me to call you, you !@#$ing B word". She ended the call, police showed up, put some fear in those teens and all was well.
