He made two costly errors (panicking against the cover 0 to throw the first end zone pick and throwing short of the end zone to Ty Johnson at the end of the half) that a veteran QB shouldn't make that cost us at least six points.  Those are fair criticisms as we won't win a Super Bowl if he continues to make those errors.  To be fair though that was his first red zone turnover of the year.

I get it, you're Nostradamus.  Miami had to punt 5 times, Buffalo had to punt once.  So they gave the ball to us 7 times (punts and interceptions) and we gave the ball to them 4 times.  What if Josh had no turnovers but we had to punt 4 times? Nobody'd be talking about bad Josh.  I think it's entirely possible that Josh could have 1 or 2 turnovers a game and we could still win the Super Bowl.   It's a team sport and the team is finding ways to win.  That's all that matters.

The Bills have proven over the last 4 seasons, they can beat anyone in the NFL.

In the last 3 years, they have exactly TWO losses over 7 points (last year's playoff game against the Bengals, and a blowout by the Colts).

Nobody...including the Ravens and 49ers...should feel extremely confident about going up against us.

Our problem has always been sloppy play.  Unforced turnovers.  Drops.  Penalties.  In other words...BEATING OURSELVES.

This season, we learned that if we play sloppy enough, even the worst teams in the league can defeat us.

Five of our six losses were against teams that didn't even make the playoffs.

The road to a Super Bowl win is there for the taking.  More than anytime I can remember.

The Steelers barely deserved to make the playoffs and will be without their best player.  The second round will either be against the most flawed Chiefs team since Patrick Mahomes became the starter, old-man Joe Flacco or a rookie QB.  The best squads in front of us are led by Lamar Jackson (who we've shut-down before) and Brock Purdy.

But can the Bills play clean, disciplined football for the rest of the postseason...

Honestly I only care if it's clean and disciplined enough to win.  Ugly wins, I'll take 'em too.

Man, he is going to be some sore tonight. He was throwing his body everywhere. That third and 13 run was godlike, reminded me of that famous conversion in Dallas on Thanksgiving. Guy is a centaur.

That Dallas conversion is my avatar.  That's when I knew we had something really special!

Anyone weirdly hoping for the 2 seed or none. Will be a heck of a game!

Not hoping for, but fully expecting it.

Which just makes this a playoff game for the Bills.  To me it's just like any other playoff game.  Win and move on.  Lose and go home.  It's not any more gut wrenching than any other Bills playoff game.  With that said, hell yeah I'm nervous, but I also have a sense of positive anticipation.

Again. Wrong. I know people who have never gotten a shot and have never had the flu. Others who get it every year and still get the flu afterward

Oops, I guess I touched on the 3rd rail topic of vaccinations.   Some people never got polio vaccine and didn't ever get it, so I guess they should have just never pushed it and saved tens of thousands from the crippling disease.  The logic of some here cracks me up - but I will bow out now, there's no convincing people whose minds are made up.  Peace out - praying the Bills can all stay healthy!

So, who said he didn’t get a flu shot? Just because you get a flu shot doesn’t mean you’re fully immune to the flu.

Cook missed a day due to illness, he played.

I know it's possible that he got a different strain and did get a flu shot.  Since that was not advertised at the time I assumed it was not the case.  I'm just saying I hope everyone is flu vaccinated to at least increase your chance of not getting it, because the time of year that it goes around is PLAYOFF time, and missing a game or having to play when your compromised is not in the best interest of the team.

that kind of sucks that Mitch might not  be able to go on Sunday.  Next man up!  (And hopefully no one else gets sick)

I hope it's not the flu - the last thing we need is to have a bug spreading around the team at this time of year.  I remember when Bruce Smith got the flu and missed the playoff game at Pittsburgh, and we lost.  Really made me angry- the stupidity of not getting a flu shot when there can be such huge ramifications if you don't and get sick at the wrong time.  There simply is no such thing as just playing anyway if you get a knock-you-on-your-ass type of flu.

Except 2 seed, home playoff game and AFCCG at home should Baltimore stumble.  I would say that is a lot to play for plus potentially knocking hated Bills and Josh Allen out of the playoffs.

Agreed, there is a lot riding on this game for both teams.  It's a big game.  For the Bills we will know just how big before kickoff.  For us it may or may not be do or die, while for the Dolphins they are in either way.  Regardless of that aspect, for either the difference between a lower seed and the #2 seed is big and both will be playing with desire to win.

so the most the Dolphins can hope for is the division title and a sole home game on wild card weekend, correct?

If the Dolphins win they get the 2 seed, which means a home game on wild card weekend and if they win that, a home game on divisional weekend

  9. On New Years Eve I'd just like to say Happy New Year to all my fellow Bills fans.  7 weeks ago the Bills had dropped 2 straight to go to 5-5 and it felt like all was lost for the season.  Since then they've won 5 of 6 and get to play Miami next week for the division title and number 2 seed.  Not too many expected that!   Just win and in baby, forget the rest!

    Go Bills !!!

    Bills will roll NE big.

I agree.  No way they let the Pats sweep us.  Bills know what's on the line and what's in front of them.  In a must win game at home - we win in convincing fashion.

It would be an awesome situation to go to Miami week 18 and getting the 2 seed with a win or 6 seed with a loss.

Really need Miami to lose to Baltimore (and of course us to beat NE) so that we can beat Miami for the AFC East crown.  If things stand as they are now (with us at 6 and KC at 3), we'd have to go play the damn Chiefs in KC AGAIN.   Don't want that...

If the Pats/Broncos result holds (which seems likely now), we clinch a playoff spot next week with just these 3 probable results:

    1) We beat the Pats

    2) Chiefs beat the Bengals

    3) Seahawks beat the Steelers

2 or 3 can be replaced with the Jaguars losing to the Panthers (not likely) or the Colts and Texans both losing to the Raiders and Titans respectively (also not likely).

If those likely 3 items happen and we clinch next week, AND Miami manages to beat the Ravens next week (forgive me for the juju), it would seem we would have little to play for in Miami outside of some slight advantage in seeding, is that correct?   Is it conceivable we would rest starters and essentially let Miami have the one seed?
