  1. Second down: Pennington. Plummer. Bledsoe. Two of these three QBs will most likely make the AFC playoffs. Can anyone of them actually do any damage?

But I think Bledsoe, being of relatively sound mind and (protected) body these past few weeks, is most capable of authoring that first-round upset which throws the rest of the tournament into upheaval. In fact, I'll go so far as to say that the evidence of this shall manifest itself in the season finale when Bledsoe and the Bills bring Ben Roethlisberger's win streak to a blustery conclusion. The following week, Bledsoe and his mates stand a very good chance of blurring the AFC picture.

I'll have to go with Bledsoe. Not because it's 1997 again -- heck, even Hootie and the Blowfish have a better chance of recapturing their pre-millenial form -- but because the Bills are the hottest team in football. Buffalo has scored a minimum of 33 points in each of its six straight victories, winning by at least 10 (yep, I can read wire copy). Better still, the Bills have a stingy, hard-hitting defense, a budding star in tailback Willis McGahee and a urgent manner that suits playoff football. If anything, the club's winning formula involves minimizing Bledsoe's liabilities -- slow feet, occasional, Favre-like brainlocks -- and maximizing an arm that can still hit Eric Moulds and speedy rookie Lee Evans on play-action passes. Keep the game from resting entirely in Bledsoe's hands, and Buffalo may stun someone in January, even with a head coach named Mularkey

And if Bledsoe is playing the Colts in the first round we may see a new record for quarterback sacks in a playoff game.

If the Jets and/or Jacksonville and/or Denver make the playoffs -- and Buffalo doesn't -- the NFL should be embarrassed. The Jets, Jaguars and Broncos are limping toward the playoffs, while Buffalo has gone from 1-5 to 9-6. Bledsoe's Bills definitely could do some postseason damage -- but not Bledsoe. He has turned back his clock and ego and become an older version of Ben Roethlisberger.

Bledsoe appears to realize that he's at the wheel of a very good team, and that his job is simply not to run it off the road. The Bills' defense is better than any in the NFC. The Bills, in fact, could win the NFC. They ran for 226 yards at San Francisco, requiring Bledsoe to throw for only 172 -- with no interceptions. Though his passer rating is only 76.9, his team has won eight of nine. If Bledsoe's team makes the playoffs, look out.

  2. My case may be worse than Nick.

Every time i heard about the word "superbowl", I remember the Bills Superbowls, and that makes me sad, it makes a glitch (? sp?) in my heart.

Espescially the last Bills Superbowl where we were 13-6 at halftime... very dishearting for this one.

I became almost mad too for the 3 lasts playoffs we had, which is lost every time for nearly something and for the last one i'm pretty sure we would have been to the SB (music city drama, 2 fews losts against Miami and Jacksonville)

Something sure now, i don't want to go to playoffs or SB to miserabily loose, i want a team that dominate and win it all, and for this i somewhere join ICE for his search of the Perfect(ion) Bills Team (but i still believe in Drew Bledsoe  ).

  3. ICE if Flutie starts the Music City Miracle game like he should have who knows what happens?  If tEric Moulds doesn't fumble the friggin ball against Miami the year previous...who knows what happens? I guess that our Qbs had a whole helluva lot to do with Wade Phillips and his crew being completely unprepared for a trick play on the games final kick-off and if only Flutie would have recovered moulds' fumble against miami in 1998 or in that same game it only flutie would have kept andre reed from getting an unsportsmanlike penalty with only a minute and a half to go, and forcing the bills to kick a fg...damn I love jimbo but i just don't know if he could have prevented all of that.  But dammit ur rite ICE! Screw bledsoe for not knocking down a 4th and 29 pass against j'ville! Stop being a pissed off, think you know it all, and pop in the "Comeback" and realize that...low and behold that was Frank Reich not Kelly who brought that team back!

    137061[/snapback]

    I completely agree with this.

The only thing i'm not sure of, is that we may have failed against the Rams in the Superbowl (who knows in fact ?)

But the music thingy year and the year where we lost to the dolphins in playoffs (the year before music city thing if iu remember well) because of Andre Reed getting mad, those 2 years, we were so close of getting it...

I don't know how to say it in English so i'm going in my natural language :

"Il suffit de si peu de choses pour changer le résultat d'un match... une action, une faute, et une belle victoire se transforme en défaite amère... Ca se joue à rien parfois..."

"So few things can change the outcome of a game... one action, one miss can change a great victory into an acid defeat... even 'a nothing' can change the issue of a game"

  4. I'm happy to say that my girlfriend's cousin and his baby are doing better now.

Christine's baby is born 3 days ago, i don't have many details about the surgery but both are doing well.

The only stressing fact is that doctors don't and can't know for the moment if the baby will have mental issues for his mother's heart attack.

At least they are both safe.

Thank you all for your prayers.

  5. My girlfriend's cousin had a heart attack two days ago and is fighting for her life at this moment. My girlfriend and I just learned it last night.

Her cousin is 27 and is pregnant. They don't know why she had a heart attack so early.

There is too a blood clot running in his body and if it goes to the heart or brain, things might go very bad ; they can't locate or extract it, for this they have to perform a body scan and they can't do this because i would hurt the baby.

The baby is expected to come in two weeks but they can't do a surgery now because the heart may not at this moment support the surgery.

I personnaly don't believe in God, but for my girlfriend cousin, i did one prayer, that's the least i can do for her.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks.

  6. honestly i wonder if i can post here cause this year i have never seen (even on TV) a Bills game, i only read the after game reviews, but,

I support Bledsoe as far he is a member of the Bills team, and i always will support any player of my team.

As a Bills fan, i can't boo nay Bills player, it's not my job. It's other (no gentleman) team fan job. My job is to support my team, all the players.

  7. Hope to see you at the game. But remember, we bathe regularly here in the States.

Not sure how i have to understand this...

You mean that here in France we never take baths or showers, and we all have a béret, have bread under an arm, and travel with bicycle ? <_<

If it's ironic, please apologize me.

Campy, thanks for your try, really, i'm happy to read something in my language here, but i hope my english is (slightly) better than your french

  8. Thank you for your answers.

Thank you too lady(?) #89, who sent me a PM.

I've done a little search and there is no direct fly from Paris to Buffalo. I guess i will take a regular fly from Paris to New York, and then a fly from New York to Buffalo with the BlueJet company who seems to have fair prices (BlueJet should save me about 100$).

About the tickets (, and hotels (thanks for the hotwire.com info, i will put an close eye on it ), and possibly a car rent), lady #89 told me to try to contact the Bills Office by e-mail, perhaps they can do something for me.

If they don't respond shortly, i will try to contact here someone who sells tickets, and i hope we can make a deal.

For the game against the Rams, i guess it's dead ; it's too short in time to organize this.

I would like to see the game against Pittsburg but it is on the beginning of the year and the travel prices (and hotels) are far more expensive (+300$ at least per person), so i guess my only option is to try for the Browns game.

If you find anything new who could help me, please post here.

I hope to be at Buffalo in December, i hope to enjoy seeing (sp?) my Bills win that game with a full crazy crowd, and may be if i am lucky i will find some of you guys and girls here and have a small party after the game in a bar <_<

Oh god, i already want to be here :lol:

Ohh last question... what is a tailgating ????

Is it some small groups of people who organize a kind of small barbecue in the stadium parking ?? Can we join them ?

  9. Hi there,

I am french and live in France. I started to see (american) football on tv since 1989 and i am a Bills fan since 1990.

Sure i had a lot of emotion seeing them in the '90s. And even now, i support them as ever, i "watch" them on nfl.com live scoreboards, here in France we only see a very few football games and this is never a Bills game.

I'm writing now because i need your help. I would like to see one Bills game at Buffalo at least once in my life, and i deeply want to see it this year.

First i don't exactly know what is the best way to go to Buffalo from Paris,France.

I'm confused about the airport. It seems there are in USA two Buffalo airports. there is one called " Greater Buffalo Int'l, USA (BUF)", and the other one is simply "(BYG)". Could you please tell me what is the good one ?

I'm asking this because perhaps there are two towns named Buffalo in USA and the 'bad' one could be in oklahoma or else where <_<

Or maybe the easiest way to go to Buffalo is to make a fly from Paris to New York and then travel by bus or train to Buffalo. Could you help ?

Second, where can i get informations about (cheap as much as possible) hotels at Buffalo ; what are their average price please ?

I think i will stay there with possibly my girlfriend, from the friday evening or saturday afternoon to half the next week. I would like to visit the Buffalo area (could you please tell me what are the good place to visit here ?) and visit the Niagara Falls (it's not too far from Buffalo isn't it ? 35 miles away ?)

About 10 months ago, a french friend, who is too a bills fan, is gone to live at buffalo with his american wife. He said he would lodge (?) me for the game weekend if i ever make a trip to Buffalo, but i guess i have lost his email

That's why i'm asking for hotels.

Third, i need tickets for game. If i go to Buffalo to see a bills game, i would be desapointed if i see it in a bar. I would like to see the game against St Louis (may be too short in time), or against the Browns, or against Pittsburg. On the official site ( Bills Official Site ), it seems you can buy tickets, but only in USA (???) ; and i wouldn't my tickets to be lost when they travel from buffalo to Paris by mailing service... Is it possible to buy 2 tickets 1 day before the game ? My idea is to be afraid to come here, and can't buy 2 because it's a sold out....

Could you provide me infos on this ?

Fourth, once i will be at Buffalo, do you known some good shop with Bills Stuff ? I think i will surely buy an Authentic Riddell Bills Helmet, and some Bills T-Shirts.

    Thanks in advance.
