    Actually Brian Kelly said he should have waited another year before declaring and Kizer himself said that Kelly was right, he should have stayed for another year just before the draft or combine, I can't remember exactly.

    I habe to agree. The switch to zone blocking for the OL was a other example of a coach thinking he has a better way and we'll even be more effective!

    The Rex comparison is spot on, take something really good and make your mark to improve it with an entirely different scheme = bad!

    Buffalo Broncos?

    there were lots of broncos fans there, the ones that sat in front of me said they were from the part of Canada near Maine. Then there was a dad whos kid was a bronco fan next to me, kid was wearing a bronco jersey, dad was not. But I usually have away fans all around me as I sit in section 107.

     

    So basically it seemed to be a combo of things.

    I sit in 107 also. I sat next to Canadian Bronco fans on row 26.

    I can't believe so many people losing their **** over Tyrod's poor performance last night. He's our starter this year, there is no one out there better who is available to us. Beane is positioning us to make a run next year at a franchise QB. Why is this so hard for people to understand and we have to have 73 threads on it?? If he sucks, Peterman will get a chance and we can evaluate him a bit. Jesus, it's not rocket surgery people.

    Unless the Bills finish with 3 or 4 wins it will be VERY hard for us to move up in the draft for a possible franchise QB. Almost anyone who has a pick above us needs a QB too. The number of picks that will be needed to move into the top 2 or 3 picks is in the "Ditka trade all of my picks for Ricky stratosphere! I don't get how everyone is just assuming we can move up now that we have 6 picks in the 1st 3 rounds...it's a pipe dream!

    22 years. I was in middle school.

     

    Elite morals, elite fandom go out the window at that point.

     

    This is a 5-6 win team.

    I'll be happy to take some action from you on that middle school boy! I'll lay $100 on over 5.5 wins. Show me the confidence of your written words by taking me up on that! Or was your post a meaningless shadow of this topic that you felt compelled to post on? The last sentence was rhetorical so there is no need to answer it, just answer yes or no about my proposed wager between us.

    WEO... I'll put you in the genius vote, So feel free to move on.

     

    Reminder flamers, I asked a question. Obviously early returns are yes he's a genius. So if he is such a genius why didn't he ever find the players or coach to get us over the top in the 4 sb's? I bet answer will be Ralph was cheap

    While I will not be a Polian apologist, I personally thought he did a great job as GM until he dissed Mary and was shown exit stage left by Ralph afterwards. I cannot EVER blame the 4 SB losses on him for not putting together a team that could win the SB! He put together the team that did make it to an unprecedented 4 in a row! The players and the coaches let him down during that run!

    Most people I come across with this opinion of him have no touch of reality with the game of football then or were in grade school or not even born yet when he was GM.

    BTW Ralph was only pseudo cheap during the SB years! Cheap did apply to most positins on the team though which makes Polians accomplishments even greater.

    Buffalo fans didn't have social media then for us to armchair GM! We had to vcr games and rewind that tape to review anything. There was no replay, no internet (outside of Stanford). Noone played fantasy football then, or at least to the extent they do now.

    People clamour for better times but most are too young to remember for those SB years that we really sucked for years before the SB run. 2 2-14 tears in a row. Ralph was accused of being cheap BECAUSE he was especially with coaches and support staff!

    This was not our Superbowl! We have learned to set the bar so low because of of our failures for a "couple of years" that we are buying into mediocrity as fans! Granted we have had nothing to feel positive about for a long time BUT maybe this is our year!

    OK I'm mostly deflecting real feelings...BUT the defense does look better and Rex is running his mouth less...so an AFC championship and Super Bowl champions seems to be obvious!

    On a side note my wife just read this post and said I'm delusional! I called her a Tom Brady apologist and maybe she should move to Boston. I may have overstepped a line here where she might insist we do. I have the whole we can't live in an evil empire*** thing up my sleeve though!
