He really reminds me of a shorter version of Andre Reed out there in terms of his overall route versatility—take a look at his highlights tape from last year and you’ll see what I mean—Allen finds him in a variety of different ways, and then often there is good YAC shown. So I expect more of the same, just higher output with Diggs gone.

Eric Moulds compares Shakir to Marvin Harrison in one of the Embedded clips. ... "same build, identical height, slot receiver legs, tougher upper build, but Shakir just a little thicker/heavier" (paraphrasing)

  2. Still find it incredible how little attention Allen got out of high school.
Fun media segment idea - Allen selecting an NBA or NFL player, each week of the season, and breaking down HOW they could be utilized in the opposite league.

Almost forgot Russell Wilson in Pittsburgh until seeing him in the last clip above - he could be a difference-maker still for Steelers, imo.

Typical TBW for an idea about starting a "question of the day" to spinout into "justification to adopt the draconian measure of limiting discussion..."

Haha - that's a fair call out - you got me, there!  I'm being dramatic, but just illustrating a point that many good topic threads may never see the light of day.  I visit here to catch up on all manner of Bills' stories and just not liking the idea of limited content.

@BuffaloBill In essence this is a board and we are members, therefore I contend that you only accept those nominated by a single member and confirmed via a minimum of 10 thumbs up post nomination.  Make it a democracy!

Fair assessment, but have you seen the quality of threads lately?  I support 90% of them being knocked down 😂

Understand what you're saying, but any committee attempting to determine the "quality" of any given topic just seems kind of arbitrary.  If a topic doesn't interest anyone, skip over it.  Is a little "clutter" on the board enough justification to adopt the draconian measure of limiting discussion to just one approved topic per day?  To me, anyhow, the answer is 'no'.  As an aside, appreciate all that the mods & contributors do - wouldn't want that task.

I've been wondering if we couldn't sign Araiza back.  I'm betting this has been discussed before but....I mean, he was innocent right?

I may be off base I don't recall exactly how the drama ended.  I know VD was involved but isn't it always?

Here is the latest on Araiza ...

  6. I still want to know who said to Von Miller when he approached the mic something like "are you gonna wear those sunglasses" and then Von Miller took them off, but commented that "they're comfortable", clearly annoyed at the person who said that.  Buffalo sure ain't LA, is it Von?  Ridiculous - let Von Miller be - if he wants to wear sunglasses during the press conf, then so ***** what!

  7. Six years into his career now and it's no longer cute when "Sugar-High Josh Allen" makes an appearance.  You take what the defense gives you and if it's not there you throw it away, punt and live to see another set of downs.  Instead, he continues to force throws and seems overwhelmed in the moment - losing focus on the snap, etc.  That was a very winnable game he essentially gave away.  This is the first time in his career I've had the thought that maybe he's not the answer at QB.  Despite his talent, if he doesn't develop some emotional maturity and stop trying to put everything on his own shoulders he's not going to improve his game.  At this stage in his career, getting better means playing smarter.  Not giving up on him, but very disappointing to see this type of decision making in year six.

  8. I'm optimistic every single season, this one no different.  It's always a marathon and not a sprint, so gonna try to not get too up when things go well or too down when they don't.  It's time to host more home playoff games, though.  It will take an AFC championship victory to help get past losing a home playoff game in the snow.  Go Bills!

  9. Yes, my opinions have evolved.  Conclusion - thank goodness I'm not in charge of any important decisions regarding the Bills.   😄  I thought Marv Levy was going to be a great GM -- oops.  I've learned to temper my opinions and leave room for errors in judgement.
