  1. yeah yeah yeah, i know, most of y'all hate the nba, but for those that still like it, although the end should not have been that close, what a friggin exciting ending, that 3 to tie it was nails, then GA nailing the winner.  Way to go Bool-Ay!

Too bad that Melo and the Nuggets couldn't stop Manu and the Spurs.  The Nuggets are getting there.  With Karl coaching and K-Mart, Camby and Melo, they could be a great team with some additions.

I didn't have a rooting interest, but that was a very cruel ending for Bulls fans. You just don't feel like you should/can lose after making an improbable comeback like that (like if the Oilers had won The Comeback). I was actually reading and was looking up occassionally. I noticed it was a 10 point lead with around 40 seconds to go, so I really stopped paying attention until it was down to a 3 point game. I had to back up the Tivo to see what happened.

Like I said, I don't follow a particular team, but I'm really getting into this Mavs/Rockets series. The Rockets just kept shooting themselves in the foot with missed free throws in Game 5.

  2. KYBillsFan, just have to mention:  That is a CLASSIC avatar!!!

Yeah, I played that game way too much as a kid. I played it on everyvideogame.com last week and got all the way to Super Macho Man on my first game. Seriously, I hadn't played in 7 or 8 years at least and still remembered how to beat everyone up until him. What's even sadder? I still have trouble remembering my home phone number for a place I've lived 6 months but will never forget the code to Tyson is 0073735963.

  3. If any team should lose a home game, my guess would be Arizona.  Bidwell has run the team into the ground and the fans following his lead, stay home in droves.

That's what I was thinking. I can't imagine another team giving up a true home field advantage for a game. Since more fans of the visiting team are at Cardinals home games anyway, it really wouldn't matter.

  4. also just a throw in.

I wish I had the link but check out all the happened while this movie was filming.

    Scary stuff....

I saw Jim Caviezel on the Bob Costas HBO show promoting the Bobby Jones movie. He said he was a big Vikings fan and during the filming of The Passion he would jump off the cross after scenes and run over to a computer to check the score of the Vikings game. The image of Jesus checking the score of the Vikings game cracks me up.

  5. And also another day after a Bengals win, that us Cincinnati locals have to hear AM talk radio callers talk about the road to the Super Bowl running through Cincinnati.

That's why I bought XM within 2 weeks of moving to the area. I guarantee you that no fanbase has ever gotten more joy out of a preseason win than these people did when they beat the Patriots.

  6. you know during the broadcast fo the game they run down the starters. D-Line, LBs, Secondary.

Sam Adams, was the lineman "best player". ("hes the big butt in the middle")

Fletcher was the LB "best player" (based on tackles)

McGee was the CB "best player"????

WTF. i know McGee had a good game 2 weeks ago but come on.

    Clements is the better corner.

Melloy is the only PROBOWLER back there

and not even a mention that McGee is filling in for vincent who is hurt. they made it sound like he was a set starter at the begining of the year.

and 8 tackles in a game is not good if your tackling the WR your supposed to be covering 15 yards down field.

    did anyone else notice this??

I don't think they necessarily are highlighting what they perceive to be the "best" player from each unit when they do those introductions on CBS. It seems like they just highlight a player that they want to point something out about up front.

  7. ...I shudder to think what Big Ben & Co. will do to the Bills in the closer January 2.

The Stillers are playing so well on both sides of the ball, it's scary.

    107809[/snapback]

Hopefully it will be a meaningless game to them and their starters will only play the first quarter to rest up for the playoffs.

  8. Sure the cardinals score a lot of points- against Army.  Miami has allowed 1 td in 4 games.  If the Hurricane offense gets on track it will be a long, long, long.............long night for LSU.

You mean I got all fired up to watch Louisville play Miami tonight and it's actually LSU? And I was all excited about the biggest game in my alma mater's football history.

  9.

LMAO, look at the selling point in the third one:

"Attention all Buffalo Bills Fans...get your tickets right here today!!! You and a friend can cheer Bledsoe and the Bills on against the division rival Miami Dolphins when Zach Crockett and co. comes to town."

I don't know if its funnier that they used a player on the Raiders as a selling point for the game or the fact that the player was Crockett. Actually, I'm pretty sure the fact that its Zack Crockett is funnier. I can just picture all the little kids in Buffalo saying stuff like "Daddy, daddy, Zack Crockett is coming to town, can we go see him?"
