  1. I can't remember the rowdiness at the Ralph being this bad since the late 70's and mid 80's. I certainly don't remember a lot of crap like this going down in the 90's, except for a Miami game.

I wonder if there is a correlation to the quality of the team and wins vs. the losses. More fights when the team is not playing so well, vs. when they are. Now there's a stat to track. This kind of info could aid in security planning.

  2. RT Fabini, gone for the year- torn pec

S Tony Parrish gone for the year- broken ankle

In addition... Bear C Olin Kruetz punches T Fred Miller and breaks his jaw during an altercation last week.

The NFL is deciding soon whether or not Randy McMichael will serve some sort of suspension time for beating on his wife.

just the kind of news these teams need going down the home stretch.

  3. I know I'll get trashed for this, but start to really consider the possibilities.

Stop feeling sorry for yourself and just take it like a man.

Not too many expect the Bills to win this one.

    1) The Chargers are a pretty good team right now and the Bills are not.

    2) The Bills don't fare well on the Left coast.

    3) LT has to break the record against someone and this Bills defense loves to give up rushing yards.

  4. Give me a break. Sure he sucked, but you can't throw a guy out there with 4 days practice under his belt and expect him to not get confused on assignments. It was a bad coaching move to try it. It will take time to make the move, granted, time might be one thing that Williams doesn't have.

Belechick moves his guys around all of the time and makes it work.

This is Mike's 4th season. He's probably logged over 2,500 offensive snaps by now. I woulda thunk between what he's expereinced plus the tons of game tape he's watched, he should understood what oline play is all about by now... even assignments of other linemen. So, my expectation is that Mike, knowing that he has a new assignment, would be putting in extra time and effort in preparing for this. He said he was ready. We, the fans, should stop pampering this 360 lb. underachieving $7m baby. The ball is in Mike's court. He'll either sink or swim. We just need to stop making excuses for why this guy doesn't do the job.

This guy is physically gifted. More so than any other lineman the Bills have (except perhaps Peters). Given his physical gifts, it then comes down to two last things, "Pride" and "passion". Mike does not appear to have either when it comes to playing this game. Rather than having the Bills let him go, he should retire.

  5. I think the hate on Mike Williams is a joke right now....

Please, can anyone show me anywhere where a poster has stated "HATE"

    for Mike Williams?

Posters are merely "opining" as to how badly or how great Williams has been playing.

Personally, I don't hate anyone (except perhaps Sheldon Silver). But, I must say that the highest paid player on the Bills (Mike Williams) stinks, and is no way playing up to his draft status or salary.

Let's also burn the "hurt" card already. He was not on this week's injury report, at least the one that I saw. Williams has run out of mulligans as far as I'm concerned. He's been a huge disappointment and has been given way too many chances to succeed. If the Bills didn't have so much time, energy, and $$$ invested in this guy, he's be gone by now. If the the name on the back of #68 read "NAILS", his locker would have been cleaned out a long time ago.

So, please, no more excuses for Mike. He's made his bed. His fate is in his own hands.

  6. looks like it comes down to anderson, bannan, and the sapester. perhaps some denney here and there. i saw several days coming like this last spring when we let pat walk and did not bring in a suitable replacement... that alone demonstrates a critical lack of fundamental football knowledge on the part of our much celebrated and highly esteemed front office.

the good news is roaf is likely out, and, of course, their is no priest this sunday.

both defenses basically stink, but the chiefs have some semblance of an offense.

too close to call today, but the chiefs seem to find ways to win and the bills find new and creative ways to lose every week.

  7. Your thoughts?

we need an effective oline. if it averages 170lbs. per man, who cares as long as they move the pile and protect the QB.

The smartest move that Teflon Tom can make at this point is to give carte blanche to McNally. What I mean by that is for Tom to tell the scouts what he wants in an olineman, then come draft day, let McNally make the picks of the o linemen.

  8. The reason they are making this move is because Peters is better than Anderson, so if they want to keep him on the field, someone has to move.

    Dude... you're missing something.

Mike Williams WAS NOT awarded Anderson's spot. Peters was awarded Williams spot. Anderson and Williams will split time according to the coaches. It will also be a game time decision as to who starts between those two...

Yes... this move was an indictment and conviction of Mike Williams. he just got his latest and last kick in the ass by the coaches. The coaches have made the determination that Mike Williams is a failure at right tackle. Williams last chance with this team is to fish or cut bait at guard. if he can't do that, he's going to be kicked to the curb.

  9. Mike Williams is "playing the best football of his career".

It wasn't BS at all. With Mike Williams, that's as good as it gets. Even the "best football" of his career wasn't even good enough to be considered marginally average by any standard.

  10. if mike williams moves to guard and becomes the bills best lineman and dominates (we're taliking all pro here) for years to come...

    1) i won't have a problem with his salary, certainly when ruben brown was making almost as much as williams.

    2) i will personally ask to be the halftime entertainment at a bills game and kiss your bare ass at the 50 yard line in front of a full stadium.

  11. Man, this is surprising coming out of you. Reading comprehension apparently isn't your strong suit.

    499474[/snapback]

Some of it, as usual, is well founded. Some isn't.

So, what "isn't"? All of it's right on. Quibble about your 4 "smoking gun" harmless and innocuous words? What reporter states all of facts and reveals everything? They all put theri own slant and spin on anything they report. Have you listened to the news lately or notice how headlines hook you... and then in context isn't what it seems to be? In a nutshell, there ain't a reporter on the planet that could not be called a "dick".

  12. Is it possible that the move to the left side is to get him comfortable before possibly switching him to LT. The Left Guard position could be the first step...

    NO! Will never ever happen...

Unless you want to outfit the Bills with disposeable QBs.

  13. Yes, Tedy is a great guy.

Just this past week at our mid week Bible study (at the Church of Tedy Bruschi and the Latter Day Pats), Tedy himself alluded to some Biblical misconceptions. Now, the one thing that I did not realize that Rev. Tedy set me straight on is that passage of scripture from Matthew 5:5. Rev. Tedy says that in the interpretation from Hebrew to the King James Version, "Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth", should really be "Blessed is the geek: for he shall inherit the earth". Thus, as Rev. Tedy explained, that is why Bill Gates owns practically everything. Bill Gates was God's chosen heir to inherit the earth. Since Tedy shared this with me, a sense of peace and tranquility has engulfed me. My shares in Microsoft have mulitiplied ten fold.

  14. Peters had played average to above average at Tackle so far.

could you kindly post your formula for determing this? I ain't seen a a Bills offensive lineman all year achieve "average" status. Peters plays one game (not against Seymour, though) and now, somehow, someway, he is the solution. Brilliant, why didn't we think of this sooner?

  15. So I guess there's twenty other backs in the NFL could do what Willis is doing, but about 15 of them are just choosing not to?

backs like sam cunningham and bam morris only come around once every 15 years or so. roger vick and marion barber tried to be like those guys but failed miserably.
