  1. How did you guys miss this?
  2. Oops! Thank you for the correction. This is relevent, how? Or is your argument that one set of juicers were bad because they won the WS (Red Sox) but the other set was okay because they lost it (Yanks)?? (Do you honestly believe that the Yanks get to the WS in 2003 without the juiced contributions of Clemens and Petitte?) Corrected that for ya...
  3. We're supposed to read this train wreck of a thread? Who the F%$k came up with that idea?
  4. Oh look, the spam-bot has been set on auto-repeat. Buzz... Buzz... Pelosi! Reid! Messiah! Hope! Change! Buzz... Buzz... Lather... Rinse... Repeat... Maybe we'll be rescued when the RNC gets Windows 7. But I kinda doubt it...
  5. I guess it's tough for some people to recall the original subject... call your programmer spam-bot... it's time for a program upgrade.
  6. If you ever manage to stumble across an original thought, kill it quickly, don't let it be slowly tortured to death by your lack of independent thought processes.
  7. Oh, look a spam-bot that answers it's critics! What will those geniuses at the RNC think of next? Oh wait... “Follower Complex” “Messiah” “Supreme Figure” “Perfect Person” ...it's got all the standard required buzz words in the post. Nothing new, just recycled B.S. I guess it's not as advanced as I thought.
  8. Let's start with this, since you obviously have no idea what the word you enjoy throwing around so often actually means; hy⋅poc⋅ri⋅sy [hi-pok-ruh-see] –noun, plural -sies. 1. a pretense of having a virtuous character, moral or religious beliefs or principles, etc., that one does not really possess. 2. a pretense of having some desirable or publicly approved attitude. 3. an act or instance of hypocrisy. Okay! Now for the past few days you've been attacking me and calling me a hypocrite because I use Teddy Roosevelt's quote in my Sig Line but I don't post asinine hyperbolic attacks, dredged from the latest set of RNC talking points, against the current administration in the manner that you've decided my use of that quote requires. Oh, and to add insult to injury (in your mind) I also have the audacity to laugh at the proliferation of spam-bot posters who do the things you are attempting to take me to task for not doing. Does that about cover it? 1.I don't remember defending the White House for anything. I recall telling you that you and I don't see things thru the same set of filters. The only thing that statement defends is the idea different people can have different opinions. Do you have a problem with the idea that other people can and do have their own opinions? Do you believe that you should have the right to unilaterally impose your opinions and view-point on other people? 2.The real irony here is your complete inability to grasp the concept that the TR quote espouses. The stifling of dissent is Un-American, unpatriotic, and against all of the principles this country was founded on. We completely agree on that point. But nowhere in that quote is there anything that makes dissent mandatory or anything that requires people who hold an opinion differing from the dissenters to be silent. 3.Okay, again please show me anything I've ever posted that disparages the right of anyone to protest anything. 4.So what I get out of this is you want the right to dissent but you don't want anyone who holds an opinion differing from yours to have the same right. Because that somehow creates a double standard? And yet I'm the Partisan Hypocrite disparaging your right to dissent?
  9. At least two, Giambi and Clemens, the last time they went, with a strong possibility that they weren't alone... Just Clemens the last time they won it... But I do have to concede that it was last century and 'roids weren't illegal yet. All though it is interesting to note that the Yankees haven't won a world series since 'roids became illegal...
  10. Considering that the Yankees have had more confirmed roided-up players than any other team... That's an odd excuse for Yankee's fans to trot out.
  11. Of course it's entirely possible that the Yankees will pull off the second biggest choke job in ALCS History and the Angels will be the team worrying about who to start in game 1 of the WS. I'm just sayin'...
  12. Just out of curiosity, where, when, and who did I mock for speaking out against Obama? I don't recall saying (or posting) anything of the sort. I laughed at Tom for his continued berating of helpless idiots (the OP of this thread included) and (in a backhanded way) snickered at RKFast for yet another internet tough guy post but those are the only things I've posted on PPP in months. Except that... I've mocked you for your asinine attempts to call me a hypocrite for disagreeing with you politically --but that seems to be something you should be used to and comfortable with-- I'm positive you've been mocked on a regular basis for the majority of your life. So now I suppose it's Tom's turn to belittle me for continuing to berate a helpless idiot.
  13. Sometimes I don't give Tom enough credit. Then somebody like you appears and I realize just how smart Tom really is. You are living, breathing. proof of the validity of his theories. "The Illogical Fallicy of American Politics" learn it before it makes a fool of you...
  14. Just more proof that your "Illogical Fallacy of American Politics" theory is true.
  15. By Jove,Tom, you may have semi-unintentionally discovered the Illogical Fallacy of American Politics! He who believes himself to be without hypocrisy is the biggest hypocrite of all! It's just so obvious. And, so self evidently true! You're a genius! OBTW If we were to compare lists, I'll bet there's a 90% or better match... And while Hypocrite isn't on my list either, Parsimonious Anal Retentive Semi-Literate Neo-Primate is.
  16. Oh, I "get it" all right. I just don't see any reason to play the game by the totally capricious and arbitrary rules you seem to feel you need to prop up your pile of horse-feathers argument. You asked a question. I answered the question. You didn't like my answer so you changed the question. I answered the new question. You didn't like that answer either, so you attempted to create a straw man argument for me to defend, so that you could mock and berate me for being another stupid liberal. (I'm neither stupid nor a "Liberal" but for the purposes of this thread that doesn't matter) I declined to participate in that stupid and pointless exercise. Which part are you having trouble understanding? [insert pointless smilie here] OBTW The real Hipocracy pointed out by this discussion is the idea that anyone who doesn't completely agree with your world-view is a hypocrite.
  17. Let me get this straight. Because my sig says that it is morally treasonable to stifle dissent in this country, I am a hypocrite because I don't march in lockstep with your political views? Is your world-view now mandatory for universal adoption? Even for PPP that is some strange logic. Yet I'm the hypocrite? The rest of your post is nothing but you setting up a straw man, then telling me how you want me to knock it down, apparently so that you can then trumpet that as proof of my agenda... Why should I bother? I'm having plenty of fun watching you and a few others have semi public conniption fits over anything and everything the current administration does, says, or you think they might possibly say or do in the future. So you just go on and keep on having fun dissenting, so I can have fun watching you.
  18. Oh, I've been paying attention, I just see things thru a slightly different set of filters than some of the stridently vocal posters here on the "dark side." P.S. Same to you, WannaBe...
  19. Which Industries are you referring to? and News Networks? From my point of view, which may be slightly different from your's, I haven't seen any demonizing. I have seen a Network that openly admits that it exists to champion a particular viewpoint being called out for the methods it uses to champion it's chosen cause. And I have seen certain decisions made by people in certain industries which may or may not (Depending on the political preferences of the observer) have been seen to be politically unwise, called out. But what I have seen the most of is Politics as Usual, just rotated 180 degrees. And that change in political position doesn't seem to be sitting well with a large number of people who post here. I'm actually finding most of the hystrionics amusing.
  20. Of course I still believe in it. And I also believe that those doing the criticizing open themselves up for criticism when they make the decision to actively oppose the positions and policies of the administration in power (Meaning again, that this applies equally to current, past, and future administrations). Wouldn't you agree?
  21. I'm curious. Who is this person that is supposed to be my Master? Last time I checked I was a free man living in a free country, the best in the world. Did I miss a revolution? My sig has an interesting origin. I dates back to 2003 when anyone who dared to question the wisdom of invading Iraq here on PPP was called an unpatriotic commie, or a traitor, and told in so many words "this is America, Love it or Leave it." It seems the pendulum has swung just a little since those days.
